I may have solved my knee pain
So I am on attempt 4 of C25K and this time I am doing it barefoot.. The first few weeks were are bit touchy with new aches in ligaments etc that haven't been used from years of shoes. But I did 13 minutes of running (in blocks) tonight and NO KNEE PAIN. I think the barefoot option has saved me!

Low Impact Activities
I just got back from the orthopaedist, who says no high impact activities for the next several months while they try to correct my knee tracking issue. As I currently do body combat, zumba, and running, this annihilates my entire gym routine. Any suggestions for low impact activities? Months of elliptical-only exercise is…

Videos/Program recommendations?
Hey everyone, I'm interested in doing more strength training/muscle building, but I have to be careful because of my knees. For example, no squats or jumping. I'm wondering if any of you have done any of the P90X, Jillian Michaels, stuff like that - how was it on your knees? Or, if you had to modify it, did you still get…

acl support

I had reconstructive acl surgery decades ago with sucess, but recently my acl is killing me after a yank from a dog bite. I could do anything until that attack a month ago! I've been…

Shoes!!!!!
Well well well. This is interesting. Just took kids to school for a play, and decided to have another try at running. This time I had my daughter's old crapper shoes on. And I managed ten mins, then another five later. With negligible knee pain. Looking more like it's the expensive Asics Trabuco shoes that have been the…

Check in!
Hi everyone. I am 41 and reasonably fit and in decent shape. I have never had knee trouble in my life until about 6 weeks ago. Either the 30 day shred or 10 minutes running (I am not a runner) dealt to my knees and I had physio and avoided high impact for 4 weeks. Last weekend I did session ONE of c25k and have stuffed my…
