Hi all! Been reading posts but not posting much this month. Still AF for May. Have had some cravings but they have come and gone fairly quickly. It’s been 30 days now since my last drink. I would like to try to get back to moderating. Just not sure when. Happy Memorial Day!

12/12 days AF for May. I cannot remember the last time I went this long without alcohol (except being pregnant). Virtual happy hour went great! No one asked what I was drinking and I didn’t bring it up. I just had seltzer water. My plan was to make a mocktail but I ran out of time. Had fun laughing and talking and wasn’t worried about what I said. Felt good waking up this morning. 5/5 AF days

10 AF days in a row. I have a virtual happy hour tonight. I have a lot of great mocktail ingredients so planning to make one of those. Still not planning to be completely AF but it does feel good to commit to waiting my desire out and using strategies to decrease my desire and see where this takes me. 4/4 AF days for May

Had my 7th AF day in a row yesterday. Kind of want to commit to 30 days AF but I’m also kind of scared that if I commit to not drinking at all and then I do drink, I’ll just abandon it all. Finishing out the month with 5 AF days in a row and 16 AF days this month. Definitely better than I would have done without the support of this group!

4th AF day in a row. Feeling pretty good about that. Started listening to a podcast called “Take a Break” related to strategies for decreasing one’s desire to drink. Interesting so far. 15 AF days so far this month.

Today was good. Mondays have been especially difficult the past several weeks but this one was good. 13 AF days so far this month.

Celebrated my 40th birthday last night and only had 2 drinks. Virtual party definitely helped to slow me down. I didn’t want to get up in the middle of the “party” so I only had one during the call and one after. Am thankful for Zoom and friends willing to meet virtually to celebrate!

Finally had another AF day. Stuck to 1-2 drinks each time but didn’t like the feeling of drinking daily yet I continued to do so. Getting back on track now. 4/12 AF days.

My goal for April is 18 AF days. I only have hard alcohol in the house for mixed drinks. I’m going to a virtual happy hour on Saturday so may get some wine for that. 4/1 - 2 drinks

I typed up a post a couple of days ago and then poof..it disappeared before I posted. Kept meaning to come back to it and never did. So...long story short 😂 13/30 days AF Not my best month but I am proud of each one of those AF days
