Reheated chicken tastes disgusting, would rather have it cold than reheat it.

Once a week on a Saturday morning, after I have gone to the toilet and before I have had anything to eat or drink. I don't have scales at my house (don't want the pressure of wanting to weigh myself every 5 mins) so I go and weigh myself at my mum's house.

You will notice more through your clothing than by looking in the mirror, your clothes will start becoming baggier and baggier until they will eventually fall down lol, I was lucky I had a friend who told me off for wearing my fat clothes when I obviously (to her and everyone else) was getting far too small for them. To be…

corn and zucchini fritters with a poached or fried egg.... yum!! Just grate a zucchini, add to a bowl with 3/4 cup of corn kernels, and chopped spring onions. Mix in some ground rock salt and ground black pepper, then stir through two beaten eggs and some sriracha sauce. Fry in whatever you want to fry it in, rice bran oil…

I carry a 750ml bottle with me everywhere I go, and refill it as I need, sometimes around 6-8 times a day.

Yep, I'm the same. All of the butter, salt and cheese!

All added sugar to coffee and tea, and absolutely no sugary drinks such as fizzy, juices, flavoured milks, sports waters etc. The amount of sugar and kilohoules in these drinks is absolutely nuts. Only water, or sugarless tea and coffee now (have cut back on coffee and tea quite a bit). Never ever drank energy drinks, so…

Yep. On point... I don't tell people about it unless they specifically ask what I am doing to lose weight, and once they find out that is just plain old calorie deficit and excercise, they zone off uninterested. Oh well, go spend a fortune you can't afford on Isogenix, and starve yourself into losing weight at a stupidly…

Yep. Totally the same here, no idea at all of portion sizes or moderation, warped from the time I was little. Even as a kid, the portions my mother would serve, I look back on it now, and I was used to eating huge portions of everything from a young age. In our house we had to eat every single thing that was put on our…

yay, thanks for asking this question. Even more thanks to the people that gave the answers! Came in this forum just now to search for this specific question... bam! done! :)

That proper portion sizes are nowhere near as big as what I have always had!! I have also learnt that I don't have to ban any foods from my diet in order to lose weight, as long as it is in moderation and I stay within my kj limit, I can still have chocolate and ice-cream. I find I have broken the cycle of…

UPDATE (for anyone interested) - Just found out that the lady in my challenge group has seen 3 different nutritionists here in NZ, they have been unable to help her (more so I think they may have been a bit too honest for her liking). The 'nutritionist' that has given her this advice is in the US, and they are in contact…
-
Yep. I have put a comment under her post on our fb group page, but the scary thing is the amount of people who panicked like I did at what the 'nutritionist' said, and now think they are in need of 'serious metabolic repair'. Way to make money from people's insecurities and lack of knowledge! So glad I asked on here!…

Thanks... I agree now I am a bit better informed.... freak out mode disabled lol

Thank you both for answering. Have been going through the search history on this topic and yep, I think the nutritionist is full of shite, thank you both for putting my mind at ease  I weigh 112 kgs, have lost 6.5kgs in nearly five weeks on the challenge, not really 'in it to win it' but more giving myself a kick up…

It does this to me as well, gives me a set amount of kilojoules per serving, and then when I save it, it adds an extra 300-400 kjs. Annoying and frustrating.... :\
-
yep, having the same problem. Thought it was just me lol. Database must be down :\

I like to save enough kj's to have a couple of squares of Lindt chocolate at night (every couple of days or so), the lime zest or sea salt caramel...delish! makes me not binge if I can fit a small treat into my daily kj's every couple of days :)

Brown rice and quinoa with corn, green capsicum, and shallots, topped with a nice, juicy, medium-rare steak :)

^ Also, all the veges used are raw

This takes me 10 minutes, and is fine on it's own, or with any meat/fish/chicken mixed in, or on the side. This makes enough for about 12 people, if you want a smaller yield, then just halve the ingredients. Also, you can add any veges you like. CousCous Vege Salad 1 x cup of wholemeal couscous (cooked) 1 x green bell…

Here in NZ a 2 litre bottle of water is more expensive than a 2 litre bottle of coke.....
