+1. And good news! No need to waste money even on a multivitamin (barring actual nutritional deficiency). To quote the editors of the Annals of Internal Medicine, "Although available evidence does not rule out small benefits or harms or large benefits or harms in a small subgroup of the population, we believe that the case…

Amazing! Great work!
-
I usually work out 3 days/week for about 3 hours each of those days.
-
Yes.
-
Same here. I save up calories over the week so I can spend them on wine.
-
This. So much this.
-
Wow, great work!
-
Feel free to add me too.

Yes, it's fine. I always train fasted. It's also fine to eat first. Experiment and do what makes you feel best.

How often do you exercise? I ask because I also get terrible itchiness, sort of like you've described it, when I run for the first time after a long break. It also totally disappears when I cool down. The next time it's a bit better, and by my third or fourth running session, I don't have it anymore.

Lately I've been saving up calories for the weekend so I can go out to dinner, have a few drinks, eat pancakes for breakfast, stuff like that. I'm not sure if that's considered "cheating" but it's helping me stay on track. MFP makes it easy to see your weekly average so you can stay within your calorie deficit for the week.

Every day. I get demotivated if I do it less often. Noisy data -- it makes sense to have more datapoints. I use trendweight.org.

3x/week strength and conditioning (mostly barbell work with short ~10m metcon at the end). 3x/week rock climbing. This has been my routine for the last year or so. I just started adding 20-30m on the treadmill 3x/week.

Another vote for keep lifting! I've lost 5 lbs since I started lifting, so not very much weight. But I'm down ~2 sizes, and I look and feel a lot better. Feel free to add me, OP or anyone.

Mine lasted all through pregnancy and a concurrent 40 lb weight gain. Yes, my hips are that wide. Totally genetic.
-
Your age, gender, location (if you put it in), how much weight you've lost. Not your actual weight, though. You can set your diary so it's visible to friends, or leave it private so they can't see it.

Feel free to add me, anyone.

This is awesome.

I'm going to read that book too. Sounds really interesting!

Hey fellow climbers! I also like to climb (mostly indoors -- it's just so convenient!) 3x/week. So much fun! But...sadly, I don't think there is a great way to quantify calories burned for climbing. It's just too variable. Even I did track how many minutes spent on the wall vs. how many belaying, how do I factor in warm-up…

I realized this week that I can do a pistol on both sides. Thanks, squats and deadlifts!
-
Feel free to add me, anyone. ~8 lbs to lose and love weightlifting.
-
Right there with ya. BMI just shy of 22, trying to get back down to 19-20. I tend to diet strictly for a few weeks and then fall off the wagon, which is obvs not a great habit. So now I'm changing my strategy and trying to take baby steps: currently I'm working on logging all my food.

Almost halfway to my 15lb goal - feel free to add me.

Recovering grad student here. (finished my doctorate ~5 years ago). I totally get the stress/binge eating thing. Add me if you want.
-
I ate and drank all the things for a whole week. I was up 5lbs on Saturday...and it's all gone now. Back to pre-Thanksgiving weight. Don't worry!
-
Welcome. I think it's great that you are working toward a healthier lifestyle!
-
But it's not truly self-improvement unless we're suffering, right? (j/k)
-
I feel your pain! I try to abstain Su-Th and drink whatever I want F/Sa night (usually ends up being 2-3 drinks, so not terrible). It's hard not to backslide though!

Well done!
