As well as this, if you strength train you’ll increase muscle mass at which point your body will burn more calories at rest.
-
Thanks so much Jemhh. I'll have a look later after I've based out this hell of an essay I have due tomorrow lol
-
I have my cardio down. I do spinning. What strength training would you recommend to an absolute beginner?
-
That's all great Like I say my bfp was around 44% when I first started and is now probably mid 30s but I'm trying to find advice as to whether there is anything specific I should be doing to reduce it as I continue to lose, as I have another 3 or 4 stone to go until I reach my goal. Thanks
-
My body fat percentage is somewhere between 30 and 40 percent. I'm unsure as to how to alter my diet and exercise in order to help reduce this, tone up and build muscle instead.
-
Ah I see :)
-
Haha sorry :pensive: I love Brie but yes it is expensive and I normally end up eating the lot :0
-
Am I missing something as well? :s I don't know what TDEE. Tbh I just use mine to make sure I'm eating an allowance of calories as my biggest downfall with food is portion size.
-
You can change the protein targets in goals though?
-
As intriging as the breakfast club cult sounds, I can't stand cottage cheese lol x
-
Yes the problems come when you stop the slim fast and go back to eating normally. Be prepared for a lot of that weight lose to go straight back on
-
I'm in as well :) I'm 208lbs p. Current lose of 34lbs and 72lbs to go! I'm on 1640 cal a day at. 2lba. Week weightloss rate. Think the positive vibes Ipare awesome! We can all do it :)

There's a discussion about this very thing on the food and nutrition page at the moment. Might be helpful to give it a read :)
-
You go you beautiful snowflake!
-
But it just sounds like a lecture, especially when people haven't asked for advice.
-
When did I question what you eat or don't eat?
-
Why do people feel the need to offer advice which hasn't been asked for.. -_-
-
Excuse me, but I've been dieting for nearly a year and lost 2 1/2 stone. I think I know how to do things gradually. I way everything so how dare you critique my "logging accuracy" without even asking me what I do! Also, I wasn't asking for opinions on my eating/exercise habits.

Little changes can easily increase your calorie intake eg a tablespoon of olive oil is over a hundred calories,
-
I walk a lot and use both a walking app and a fitness tracker and frequently find that MFP overestimates the calorie burn, No I just stay at the same weight.
-
Tbh I've always eaten this way and have never burned out. I find if I eat my exercise calories I don't lose.m
-
Haha Gia I love that...
-
I can see the logic there :) I have a good system with my food whereby I'm in a routine and my body is used to a centre amount of calories. If I eat more one day then I want more the next, so I just don't bother and in the past I've seen good loses. :)
-
lol Okies :)
-
That's a good idea :) There is the option of a running buggy but I simply can't afford to purchase one.

Crunches in some case can be more beneficial that sit ups. You can do it. Remember with a crunch it's a case of engaging your abs (pulling you're belly tight) and then lifting your shoulders off the floor towards the ceiling. Breathing is key as well. Don't forget to breath lol. You should start to feel it after about ten…

Thing is i don't get a choice of when I can go for a run cause it has to be a day that I have someone to look after my son... Which is Sunday nights, all day Monday and Tuesday and at a push Wednesday morning. Thanks for the advice with the shoes that's really helped a lot.
