  • Saying no to a bowl of ice cream!
  • You've got great willpower - way to go! My work has a tin of Danish butter cookies that I'm having a hard time resisting. I make myself log each cookie though. You're my role model this week!
  • Another great resource is eatingwell.com They have wonderful healthy recipes that you can tweak if need be.
  • Meal planning a success this weekend! I found a blog called "Running Wild" with some great meal plans. I adjust to reflect items that are on sale or in season and less costly. For instance, instead of mixed berries I bought apples and oranges for my side of fruit because they were less expensive. Below are the groceries I…
  • Hi! I'm Randi and I'm just getting into running. I was very excited to purchase my first official pair of running shoes after the store did a gait analysis but I've yet to take them on an actual run. I am challenging myself to work towards the Indy Mini Marathon. I have a beginner worksheet I'm following and I'm making…
  • Hi everyone! Brand new to running but I've been working my way up. I'm following the attached plan for a half marathon. It's not until May but this way I give myself plenty of time to work up to it. My goal is pretty low - 20 miles.
  • Starting a round of 21 Day Fix. Here's my before picture! See you in 3 week with an after photo. Not expecting miracles but I am expecting change.
  • Accountability partners are great! I'd love to join in. I've been on MFP for awhile but my logging tends to fluctuate. I've steadily lost some weight over the past year (20 pounds) but I have more to go. Looking forward to working with you all!
  • Completed Upper Fix on my lunch hour workout! I challenged myself during the lateral pullovers to use two 10 pound weights and it really made me feel good! When we repeated the challenge I changed halfway though to one weight but I have hope I'll see an increase in what I'm able to do. Push-ups were still horrible for me…
  • @musicfan4life30 sounds like you're really getting into the program! I admire you. I'm not as diligent about getting them done as I need to be. Lately I've been sleeping in and without doing them in the mornings I'm not as motivated to get them done later in the day.
  • Wow, look at you go! Thanks for sharing, it's a great motivator to those of us also looking to lose over 100 pounds. Enjoy your new look!
  • @krstngrrtt I found this site that should be helpful for measuring your meat. And congrats on your first week of 21 DF! http://nutrition.cedwvu.org/howmuchmeat.php
  • I haven't been doing my videos this week but I did go to a Zumba class last night! The instructor really pushed us hard and I had a blast doing it. Afterwards I participated in a Tae Kwon Do class for an hour and then just went home and crashed! Lol, I'm hoping to get back on track with doing my 21 DF videos in the…
  • Haha, so true! I had a friend come over one weekend while I was doing the 21 DF and I told her I'd be doing my videos. She was allowed to join but not judge. :)
  • I log it with my FitBit Charge HR. It's great! Keeps track of my heart rate so I can more accurately gauge my calorie burn. If you don't have a heart rate monitor, aerobics can usually get you a good estimate of calorie burn.
  • I have a question about protein shakes. I usually do a scoop of protein powder, some nonfat Greek yogurt, fruit and watered down juice for a nice consistency. But juice is out with 21 DF. Suggestions?
  • So I'm setting myself up for success. I bought additional weights at Target (3lb and 5lb) so I can work up to the 10lb weights I already have. The 21 DF videos use two sets of weights (based on your comfort level) and I want to up my strength while lowering my weight. I did the Total Body Cardio video last night and almost…
  • I worked both of my jobs yesterday and didn't find the time to do the video but I decided I wasn't going to skip workouts on this round. So on my lunch break - I completed Lower Fix! I'm off tonight so I'll be able to do Pilates when I get home. Committing to it!
  • My cousin said that she keeps it simple with her meal planning - chicken, veggies and a wrap. If she gets too fancy than she falls out of the program. I like her approach. Last night I prepped containers containing: chicken and salad and/or lean ground beef meatloaf with roasted green beans. Breakfast will probably be some…
  • I'm jumping on with you guys! Starting my second round but almost a month after I completed the first. I've gained back my weight (I did step on the scale to confirm) :( But I want to see it go again and take some friends with it this time! I work two jobs and am going to be making my Halloween costume between now and the…
  • I'm in! Starting my second round today (although I've regained what I lost previously so it could be called my first round) and planning on sticking with this!
  • For my second round my motivation is my cousin. She introduced me to the 21 Day Fix and as of this week has lost 50 pounds!!! (24 weeks, start to finish) So I'm pumped and motivated to go the distance.
  • I'm finally starting my second round of 21 DF after being absent for the entire month of September. I really let myself get away from everything I learned but not anymore! Sadly, I'm back to my starting point but I'm much more aware of what I have to lose if I don't stick with this. If I'm not talking or posting, I'm not…
  • I told myself last week I'd start right into my Round 2 - instead I've been loafing around. It was like a switch was hit and I had no motivation. I've been trying to get back into the rhythm but right now I feel like life is running me down. *blah* It's frustrating as well and annoying. The longer I'm off rhythm the harder…
  • @synacious that's right! I tried to be conscious of veggies, protein and portions but otherwise I wasn't doing the meal plan. Very excited to see continued results in Round 2!

  • @rjpittner I have them but I haven't done them yet. @synacious has done Barre legs though. She said it challenged her so maybe that's what you need to combat the boredom?
  • I love it! It took me some time to get off soda but LA Croix helped. I'm a big fan of the berry and cran-raspberry flavors. I'll have to try the others! Lol, and the beverage dispenser is from the Container store! Love that place!

  • @jennimben Look at you learning and growing! Lol, glad you're having fun! And like she said, thanks @synacious for the warning. I've decided no break between rounds but I want to do my next one just like the original schedule because I'm still modifying some of the workouts. I want to push myself further on them and that…
