  • Agreed, IF is useless for weight loss without calorie control. Whatever the reason, I'm happy with it. I also find myself more satisfied with less food.
  • Lapsed MFP member, starting IF 16:8, planning to add 24 hour fasts once a week. Looking for fasting apps that sync in with MFP because apps tend to keep me motivated.
  • A friend took me out to lunch. There was nothing healthy on the menu, but I noticed they serve lunch until 2:00 so I ordered 2 poached eggs and went home to a nice green salad.

  • This. A huge plus to upgrading any Fitbit. Just change your device like you are changing your earrings. I have both a Flex and a Charge HR, and just wear the one that's more appropriate (usually Charge HR). If I had a habit of attending elegant events, I'd probably buy clip on Fitbit also.
  • There's very little difference in price. I don't understand why anyone would buy a Charge instead of a Charge HR.
  • Mine did not fail because I wore them tight. In fact, I liked them looser. The strap defect is known to Fitbit. The Flex must be, well, ... flexed right at its weakest point to slip the element into the strap. That's the problem. Treat it very gently and they will last longer.

  • Flex does have indicators in the form of flashing/glowing lights in the band. Tap the lights and one will glow for every 20% of goal reached. So if I walked 5,000 steps of a 10,000 goal, 2 will glow and one will flicker. I do prefer the digital step readout of the Charge HR.
