  • Great start, take it one day at a time one meal at a time one work out a time and hopefully it will get easier. Planning and being organised about your meals and exercise as much as possible will make it easy to maintain. Accept you will have great days and days that are going to be tougher but a day only lasts 24 hour so…
  • I came across this quote, hope it inspires you: Good luck! "PATIENCE. Let's be realistic here. You won't drop two jean sizes in one day. You won't lose fifty pounds in one month. You're going to binge every now and then. You will go a day or two without working out. Your weight is going to fluctuate here and there. You're…
  • I can't really answer your question however for me I lost three inches off my stomach and a couple of inches off other parts of my body but the scales were showing my weight as not moving up (thank goodness lol) or down. I did notice a difference in clothes as they were feeling much looser. Then last week after two months…

  • Well done that is great, long may it continue. I have lost six pounds in the last three months just changing my diet. Increasing my exercise now in an effort to lose a little more in a shorter amount of time. Hoping to have lost another stone by my birthday in July. Fingers crossed.
  • Welcome and good luck to all. Feel free to add me. Support and motivation is the key. :)
  • Welcome and the best of luck to you both. Try and get as many positive friends read their diaries for meal and exercise ideas and tips. Forums are also worth checking out lots of tips on them. Both welcome to add me. :)

  • I have some fruit like a tin of peaches (in natural juice) with natural yogurt, some hummus with fresh veggies, nuts and seeds with dried fruit, sometimes a plain omelette depending how you make it, can be under 200 cals. For ideas I look at my friends diaries on MFP also. Good luck.
  • Here are some other ideas for an alternative lunch without bread: When I make a hamburger at home I actually use mushrooms instead of sesame seed buns, anyway http://empoweredsustenance.com/no-bread-sandwiches/
  • I prefer wholegrain bread myself or any bread with pumpkin or sesame seeds in it but sometimes you can't beat an oul slice of fresh white bread toasted lashings of butter melted with a big mug of tea. Yum I just can't eat it too often as I get bloating and stomach cramps but now and again its worth it. Sometimes I buy…

  • I find winter really hard as I hate the short dark days. Anyway this year I was determined not to stay indoors that I would try get out at least 30 minutes for some daylight to keep my mood and spirits lifted. I joined a few walking/hiking groups on meetup.com which helped me stay motivated as there was others in the same…

  • You can do this with a little hard work and determination. Good luck and feel free to add me.
  • Dust yourself down and start again tomorrow. Think about why you're binging. Are you eating enough in your meals? Boredom? When we know why we can start to change it. How to make up for it? I add an extra brisk walk or two maybe an exercise class into my routine during the week. Good luck!
  • Welcome and good luck! Feel free to add me :)
  • Sorry I'm not a Debbie I'm a Victoria hope it's okay I replied to thread lol If so feel free to add me. Good luck!
  • Don't beat yourself up for a start. You said you ate cause you were bored that's your first clue, as soon as you feel bored find something to do that will distract you like prepping meals for the next day or your lunches for the week, cleaning, go for a walk, do your shopping, whatever will take your mind off binging. I…
  • When I was studying I was drinking coke like water and ended up putting on over half a stone in less than one month so decided it was time to cut back. Drink coke zero once in awhile but often feel bloated afterwards. Thing is I like a cold drink a thirst quencher especially in the summer so I drink tonic water (slimline…
  • Feel free to add me happy to offer some support :D
  • I started it last week wasn't able to run so walked the 5k my quickest mile 14mins 11 seconds. I will be back again this week and intend to walk it but will try jog when I can. Hopefully in time I will be able to run the entire 5k but one step at a time. Most important thing is I am out trying and more importantly it is…

  • Hi Britney I have friends who have signed up to Weight Watchers and Slimming World just to mention a couple and while that may work for them it won't for me. I could not maintain that lifestyle or any diet for a long period of time. I have seen so many people put weight back on when they stop those particular diets and it…
  • If you have a smart phone it is worth downloading the Map My Walk app they also have one for running and cycling. You put on your GPS hit the start button and it records your walking including speed and amount of calories. The added bonus is that it automatically adds these calories into MFP for you. I love it. Apart from…
