Wasn't in fact recommending a shoe I stated that Asics are meant to be one of the best. I was also suggesting that he go for gait analysis so they could advise him what the issue might be and subsequently his best course of action, as you stated are all individuals what might work for me or you will not work for someone…

Since I started walking as a form of exercise my feet are in constant pain. I have fallen arches and the shoes I was using were not supporting me at all. I went to a local sports store and had gait analysis done and discovered I was over pronouncing on my feet which meant I needed a stability trainer for walking and…

I used to finish each of my meals with a cuppa and a biscuit or five. Some days I skipped the meal and had a cuppa with half a packet of biscuits. Instead now I incorporate one biscuit, teacakes are my favourite 106 cals purple snack 101 cals or a Kimberley chocolate biscuit at 97 cals with my cuppa, they all come under…

Congrats on your weight loss that is fantastic well done you. I would suggest getting a measuring tape and taking a note of your measurements. Sometimes when there is no drop on the scale you will see it in your measurements which can help keep you motivated. When I started this the scale didn't budge for a couple of…

Hey there, the gym is not for everyone and if you really don't feel comfortable then why put yourself through that anxiety. If it is something however that you would like to do maybe seek some professional help to work on your anxiety, hopefully they can teach you some techniques to manage it. Another option would be to go…

I noticed through my logging that I used to drink five to six if not more cups of tea a day (we love our tea in Ireland and drink it like water lol) With each of those cups of tea I would have had two teacakes or two or three biscuits depending on the biscuit. Now I allow for 150 calories in my daily calorie goal for a cup…

Since starting MFP I use the following mantra, food will always be underestimated and exercise overestimated. Therefore I log all my food and exercise as best I can. I will then stay within my daily calorie goal even if my exercise states I earned an extra 700 calories from exercise I won't eat it back and just count it…

Monthly but I do measurements weekly bi weekly just to ensure I am still on track. It is more important for me to be eating a balanced nutritious diet and exercise, weight loss is a happy result of both. :)

Hey there I wait for sales and buy my underwear especially bras then. Saves me a fortune and then if I lose weight I don't feel so bad having to get rid of them. Not sure where you live but I shop in H&M they do a lot of stylish elasticated trousers in small medium and large I tend to buy them sometimes a little smaller…

@ Loverpie Cut back on fruit??? I respect that is your opinion however I disagree with it. Fruit = natural sugar as opposed to added sugar in soda drinks, bread, milk chocolate, sauces such as tomato, barbecue etc., the list is endless Fruit offers not only natural sugar but fiber and lots of vitamins our bodies need. So…

The reason behind my post was this. The word cheat and yes it is just a word but it is a powerful one. The word implies, being dishonest, lying as I posted earlier and honestly if you are declaring what you eat in your diary then you are neither being dishonest or lying but back to my point. With the word cheat comes…

Pilates helps develop your core strength, I did a few classes when I hurt my lower back and it really helped. Agree with above posters take a day of rest and when you return to your exercises take it easy. Mind yourself

As other posters have said small goals. Tell yourself you will log in for one day, then try 2 then 3 so on and so forth. Maybe don't think about the 100lbs you are trying to lose, for me the first step was logging my food intake every day and making small changes in my diet (smaller portions for example, less chocolate,…
