    If you have a smart phone it is worth downloading the Map My Walk app they also have one for running and cycling. You put on your GPS hit the start button and it records your walking including speed and amount of calories. The added bonus is that it automatically adds these calories into MFP for you. I love it.

    Apart from that if I am getting the bus I either walk one or two stops further away from my home and then get off one or two stops before my final destination.

    I leave the car at home for short journeys including doing my food shopping. Carrying the heavy bag on the way back works up a sweat and allows me to burn more energy.

    I try to look at ways I can fit a walk in rather than taking out extra time to do it (in a sometimes busy day it is not always possible to fit in a walk or exercise). So visiting a friend if it is possible I walk, work I walk, cinema which is 1.5 miles away I walk there and back and without even realising it I have walked 3 miles. Anyway hope some of these tips are helpful. Good luck everyone! :D
