I lost 38 pounds initially. It was amazing! Unfortunately my little brother received a terminal cancer diagnosis. I went from running and going to the gym to doctor appointments and being a full-time caretaker. Trust me, I wouldn't trade that time with him for the world, but I gained back almost all the weight (30 of the…

I saw the picture on the left. I was bigger than all 3 other people in the picture by a lot! I had worn that dress to my Masters graduation and it was beautiful. When I put it on before the wedding that picture was taken at, I couldn't zip it up all the way. That was my wake up call. The next month, I ran my first 5K. The…

Has anyone ever gained weight after having their gallbladder removed? I was steadily losing weight, doing really well in my routine and since my surgery 4 months ago I have gained 10 of my 30 pounds back :disappointed: I am back to my normal food and gym routine and still GAINING weight.

I had the same frustrations early on in my weight loss... and its actually happening again right now! The scale is showing weight GAIN even though I feel healthier than ever! I promise you, there is more to weight loss than the number you read between your toes. Things to notice to help you stay positive: - Are your pants…

My mini goal is to get under the 170's... I've been floating around 174-176 and I'm ready to drop below that line. I remember when my goal was to get below the 180's! #progress

I love my Victoria's Secret pants! Mine aren't thin at all, actually they are my winter running pants, but they do have some styles made from thinner materials. I always go in to try them on though (with all my running pants) because I'm very perticular about material. What I like about them is that they don't slide down…

Okay I'm a little hesitant about http://www.iifym.com/tdee-calculator/... It is full of spelling and grammatical errors! I try to find websites that are reputable sources to get the most accurate and up-to-date information but if this website is so great why can't they figure out spellcheck? I've never heard of Scooby's so…

This is great! Great moments of 2015 - I ran my first half marathon! - Then I ran another! - I lost over 30 pounds. - Drink at least 6 cups of water a day but usually more (around 10-12 cups). - I'm back in school, hoping to apply for a PhD program soon. Goals for 2016 - Lose a total of 50 pounds. - Ran a full…

Even though my weight loss slowed, I went from a size 10 to an 8! I had to buy all new pants. Now some of the 8's are getting lose  I've been a 10 all my life, from 160-200 pounds never changed size. Now my body is getting leaner, more muscular, and slimming down which is amazing!

Is anyone going to go through and remove all the people who haven't posted anything? I think it will help to see the bigger numbers/accomplishments of our group better.

Log everything. I log my fish oil and vitamin d supplements every day I take them.

This is so similar to my story! I am 5'11.5" and I've been a "skinny fat" 153 lbs and a muscular 160. My goal weight is a muscular/fit 155. I felt good at 153 but I wasn't what I would call "in shape". When I was 160 I was a competitive volleyball player and working out like crazy. I think somewhere in between is perfect…

Oh my favorite. Avocado instead of mayo (I'm not a mayo fan anyway), little bit of diced onion, pinch of salt. I eat it for my afternoon snack at work! Sometimes I'll throw it on a cucumber slice but usually I just eat it with a fork

As your size shrinks so does your ability to burn calories and research has found that these metabolic changes are evident up to three years after weight loss. I'm not sure about the eating more to break through a plateau, when I hit mine I kept my caloric goal but changed my macros, but your metabolism is changing as you…

My diary is open! I'm not perfect, I go over sometimes, I eat candy, sometimes I forget to log things (especially on the weekends) but thats how life is

I don't eat back my exercise calories UNLESS I do an extended run, bike ride, or hike. For example, after my half marathon I ate about 400 calories more than my 1350 allotment. I was just so hungry! I think @LuanaBean is right and I'm at a horrible plateau. I'm going to keep trucking along and see what happens!
