If you check the Move section at the end of the day, it will tell you your total calorie burn (resting and active calories combined) for the day.

Yes. Why wouldn't they be?

When I started, I was 126Kg and I set my goal weight to be 99Kg. The aim was to make it into "double-figures". For Americans: Started at ~278Lbs, goal was 219lbs.

I've had to switch my wedding ring from my ring finger, to my middle finger. If I wear it on my ring finger I'm scared that I'll lose it due to it being so loose!

Agreed on the point regarding tightness of the strap. The Sports strap does have a little stretch in it, so perhaps you need to go one notch tighter. However, I've realised that I need to loosen mine when I'm doing certain exercises. Rowing Machine or Pull-Ups makes my forearms pump-up and a tight strap is not good as this…

I'm not sure that the Shine can predict distance travelled on a Bicycle. Realistically, it has no idea what bike you're using, what gear you selected or if you're going up/downhill. All it knows is motion of the point of your body which you attached it to. My guess is that it's translated that motion in to "steps" and…

Mine's the same. I've noticed that cycling the iPhone BT off/on and then retrying to Sync usually works first time.

Vertical scale is Kg (not Lbs)

Does 5 weeks qualify as a plateau?

I have my goal set at 1000. This is most probably because the app suggested it when I first started using it. In reality I should up it to 1500+ for the days that I'm in the Gym or out on the bike. Obviously on rest days, I struggle to get a couple of hundred.

Update on the bike ride: * Done it. * Burnt an insane number of calories. * Muscles ache now. Sleep!

It took me a a good 2 and a half months to work out how to deal with this and, to be honest, I've still not got it 100% sorted. My problem was that I was used to eating high calorie, low nutrient foods. Not necessarily "Junk Food" like McDonalds (other fast-food vendors are available) but just food that was not a good…

Today, it's 97. 100 will be a nice milestone to achieve. (However I will not use that as an excuse to have a cheat day!)

I Cycled to work and back. It's approx 25 miles (or 1hr40mins) each way. I've signed up for a charity bike ride on the 12th July (100 Miles) and I'm trying to get more saddle time in preparation for that. At the moment I'm planning to cycle to work, twice a week. (The other days I take the car while my legs moan at me)

The simple answer is "no". I set it up in the iPhone app so that it knows I'm wearing the Shine on my neckline. If I go out walking it picks up the activity fine.
-
You can track it in MFP as well as wearing the Shine. MFP will log the calories you earned when you add the activity. If the Shine thinks you earned more, it will give them to you as well, if not it wont. It's up to you.
-
I have purchased a Sports Neckless and wear mine 24/7. Although, I do move it to my sock when I go cycling.

2/20/75 seems a little off regarding Macros. As a comparison, mine are more like 50/30/20 If you want your number to be frozen, then dont add any exercise to MFP.
-
Activity trackers just monitor your activity level. If you sync them to MFP then they will grant you additional calories (you were more active, so you burnt more). So if it only grants you more calories, how does it dictate how you "spend" those calories on what you eat? Surely that's up to you and your choice of foods?…

Chimay Habanero Verde!

Set your MFP diet profile to "Sedentry" and then you'll see more Misfit calories.

Yoga is more about stretching and flexibility. It's not really an activity where you would burn a significant number of calories. Does doing Yoga raise your heart-rate?

I've had mine for 3 months and it's great. In the pool, in the gym, cycling, running it's fantastic. While they claim it's water proof (and I've had zero problems in the pool) there can be potential problems in Salt Water. Salt Water is far more aggressive at penetrating the water proof seal and it can fail. I took mine to…

I've not used the Flash so I can't directly compare but I've had a Shine for a little over 3 months and I'm very pleased with it.
