Yes I'm definitely working outbfor mental health. On days where I get discouraged by lack of physical improvement (early days yet), I have to remind myself that my mental health is number one right now and that exercise and healthy eating are just as important for my mind as they are for my body.

JFT: 1. Stay under kj goal. 2. Love and respect my body. 3. Come back and post tomorrow.

The last few days went completely out the window so I'll keep today's goals simple. JFT: 1. Stay under kj goal. 2. Love and respect my body. 3. Come back and post tomorrow.

I logged everything! Today: 1. Log everything. Even if I go over. 2. Come back and post here tomorrow. 3. Be happy with my body right now! Just because I'm working on getting healthy, doesn't mean my body deserves to be dosrespected by me. :) Good luck everyone.

Hi all, I'd love to joing. Little goals are how I get through most things, so it makes sense that itvwould help with weightloss, too. Goal for today: 1. Log EVERYTHING. EVEN if I go over. 2. Come back and post here tomorrow.

I was just thinking about posting something similar. I've just come off sertraline and am FEELING everything. And even though I've been idly trying to lose weight for awhile, my body image has never been too bad. Until now. Now that I'm feeling all the things, suddenly my body is something that upsets me more than I…

I agree with the other posts here: you're not pathetic! You're a human being and that simple fact makes you amazing. I'm going to suggest a different tactic; maybe you could have a go at getting more structure into your life before giving yourself a hard time about what you eat. It may help with the weightloss once…

I love this! Especially because it applies to everything in life, not just fitness.

Congratulations! That kind of self-talk in the moment can be so hard (I know). Good work :) and keep it up (but don't beat yourself up if you slip now and then; progress isn't linear).

Holy moly, I don't know why I didn't think of trying to have chocolate every day. I try to leave room for my lattes, why wouldn't I make room for chocolate? This seems like a much more sustainable way of keeping up with my chocolate love. It's funny how despite everything I've picked up on MFP, there are still little gems…

This is great! I have a few, so here goes: 1. Front splits 2. One pull-up 3. Headstand 4. A more defined waist (as much as genetics allow). 5. Keep to a schedule of 3 gym sessions per week. 6. Squat bodyweight (and then some!)

@zorahgail thanks for those tips. I've been questioning whether or not I want to keep going and these really help. I think I might just focus on fitness goals for awhile until I feel ready to continue losing. And fingers crossed, I might lose some weight anyway, haha.

@azulvioleta6 Latin dance is the best! I love the social aspect almost as much as the dancing itself. I hope you get well enough to dance again soon!

Just came to agree with what everyone else has posted: low-carb isn't necessary to lose weight. I haven't changed my diet much at all; I just eat less than before.

Salsa dancing! It's the main reason I decided to get fit and lose weight. I also love writing and film-making.

My waist measured a centimetre less this morning! Weight has been going down, my legs and even arms have been toning up, but my stomach is always the last place to start losing; so a cm down around my waist is huge for me :3

You guuuys! I'm so jealous of you all - I live in Australia and while some American flavours have made it here, pumpkin spice isn't ANYWHERE. I need to figure out how to make a DIY blend (pumpkin is easy to find, just expensive because it's the wrong time of year).

I'm updating on Fridays. But there was no set day so I think people are just updating once a week when it suits them.
-
My update: Last week: 73.7kg This week: 74.6kg So I'm up again :( but not as much as the week before so at least that's something. As of Monday, I've started a month of no chocolate or chips; it's more an experiment to see how I feel without them (I tend to eat them beyond satisfaction) and to see if I steer towards more…

Don't have any suggestions, just bumping because I would love to know about any apps as well!

This! The last time I tried to lose weight, it was with a friend who was toxic for me and is no longer in my life. I put it all back on and then some. This time around, I'm doing it for me - because I want to treat my body right, and be able to do the things I love to the best of my ability.
-
My biggest motivation is seeing the results - however small. Weighing less one weigh-in than previously, seeing my measurements creep down, liking what I see in the mirror, building a long log-in streak (so far, each streak has been longer than the last). However, @MommyL2015 has it right in saying that patience is key;…

You can do it! If there's one thing I've picked up from MFP, it's that with a combo of patience, determination and education, anyone can do it :) Good luck!
