Following this thread i need to get motivated to lose 5lbs! I feel like my heads in the right place this week to do it!
-
OP I am the same situation right now it's been going on all January. 1/2 lb up 2 weeks again then another 1 lb on top of that last week I'm now at the top of my Maintainence range and it's frustrating. I went back to my normal eating / training routine at the start of the month. This week I decided to tighten up on logging…

Thanks again everyone! Yep not gonna fix it if it's not broke lol!

Thank you all for the reply. Just with reading through posts on the site macros come up in conversation regularly and I was just interested to know what you think. As some people pay more attention to them than others. Maintainence is working well for me and I enjoy training every week.

Use total weekly calories rather than net weekly calories find under weekly view
-
I've noticed they have changed this too, it's so annoying not being able to see weekly remaining calories!

Love this post very positive!

I'm so confused about this

^^^this!!! Too true

I agree with emuhawk, too much fiber can be a trigger for ibs. It definitely is with me. I also have some food intolerances and if I don't eat excessive fiber and avoid my intolerant foods I feel great. I would recommend going for food intolerance / sensitivity test it worked for me. And as emuhawk said its trial and…

It could be ibs or food intolerance. You should ask your GP and if not go for a food sensitivity test. I always suffered badly from constipation and bloating. It got so bad after every time I ate. I went to GP was tested for celiac and it wasn't that but they did say I have ibs. I went to a health food store/ clinic and…

@standenvernet thanks this is a good read!

Yeah! I'm same! :)

I like this too arditarose! I tend to eat a little less when I'm working during the week when I'm busy and I am out more and being social on weekends so I like to have a bit more cals to cover that
-
Thanks sijomial! That's what I have been doing re weekly cals and that works best for me. Good point re diet around life not life around diet! At least now I know what all the TDEE talk is about now!
-
Thanks deksgrl! So it is all averaged over the week which ever way u choose to do it?
-
Yes! I'm talking about maintainence. Thanks they are good explanations!
-
Thanks earlnabby I think sticking to MFP for me will be ok. But then another question, What about the people that go by their weekly not daily calorie goal? Eg, if u eat slightly less some week days and then eat slightly more on weekends. If u are still reaching , and not exceeding your weekly goal this will still work?
-
Ok thanks both very much!

Would there be much damage done and if so, would it be reversible to get the metabolism back to normal?

Hello! I'm glad you have shared this info on new found HUNGER! Lol I'm experiencing the same thing I have been maintaining my weight within 5lbs for a year but still had all goals set to lose. So 3 weeks ago I updated my goal weight (which was out of date lol) and my excercise goals etc to maintainence with a slight…
-
Good point!

Thanks for reply! Yeah I have been adding the cals as a mixture of carbs fat and protein, just different foods each day. It's hard working out what u want or need on that day. And now changing my eating from losing its difficult to change the mindset of these are your cals for today and that's it to maintaining and I can…
-
Hi! I was wondering when u say adding 100 cals or 200 cals a week is that daily for a week or overall for the week?
-
Good advice, thanks
-
Thanks for your comments everyone, my excercise and weight goals were so out of date I've updated them now. The calories are still high so I'm going to work towards adding on slowly and try to find my balance.

I probably didn't give enough info sorry, I am still eating my weight loss calorie goal but always less than that so I can save some for the weekends. I am active 3 times a week with running and weight training. When I change my goals to maintaining it jumps up a lot so I wanted to know how I can get closer to eating more…
