I use Further Collagen. It literally has no taste and mixes really well. Like most others, I add it to my coffee in the AM.

I make up deviled eggs and snack on those throughout the week. I just mix the yolk with some mayo, mustard and bacon bits. I also like to snack on the mini sweet peppers with cream cheese. The peppers are a little higher in carbs than I prefer, but they are great a few times a week.

I've always heard that you cannot build muscle while in a calorie deficit. While in a deficit you will lose both fat and muscle. Lifting will help preserve what muscle you already have, but it will not build more.

Typically I use OPA ranch dressing- it's yogurt based I think. Or I will use a mayo/mustard/onion mix. It is soooooo good with ham. And because of the mustard and onion I can use less mayo.

I definitely prefer mornings. I like that the only people in the gym are the gossipy old ladies :smile: It also breaks up my commute to work in the morning, which makes driving to work much more enjoyable.

It's a generic plan that I found on bodybuilding.com. It has deadlifts, squats, pullups (assisted), bench presses, shoulder presses, rows...all with dumbbells.

I'm not trying to bash beachbody. I have the Insanity program and I love it, BUT you can get a good workout without having to spend so much money. The Jillian Michaels videos on youtube are really good and really free :) I have an app called Sworkit that I really like. It's free too.

What kind of workouts are you finding discouraging? I like planks. Really not a whole lot to them and you can really increase your core strength over time.

I agree with this. I think you actually have to have a pretty good level of fitness to begin with in order to ride well...meaning you are balanced and aware of your various body that communicate with the horse.

I like to make pancake sandwiches for the week. I make Kodiak Cakes and add some vanilla and cinnamon. The batter makes about 4-5 pancakes. Then I add turkey bacon or ham and some cheese to each cake. Fold it over and you have a little sandwich.
