  • I use Further Collagen. It literally has no taste and mixes really well. Like most others, I add it to my coffee in the AM.
  • I make up deviled eggs and snack on those throughout the week. I just mix the yolk with some mayo, mustard and bacon bits. I also like to snack on the mini sweet peppers with cream cheese. The peppers are a little higher in carbs than I prefer, but they are great a few times a week.
  • I've only ever used this for waffles, but I don't see why you couldn't try pancakes with them. I love these, even my high-carb husband likes them. http://www.ditchthecarbs.com/2015/12/08/keto-waffles/
  • So because you took your information from a select few PF gyms that automatically means that all PF gyms are bad? And the fact that you said: "So basically hit the treadmill and work those five pound weights to death..." probably contributes to the fact that some people do feel uncomfortable at "real gyms"...you know, the…
  • I live in a very rural part of my state, so I don't have many options when it comes to gyms. PF opened in a neighboring town and it's really convenient to stop in before work, since it's on my way. I like the gym. It's very clean, not crowded and for my goals- it has everything I need, for now. Each PF has different…
  • I recommend reading this thread : http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p1 A calorie deficit will be the best, and only way to lose the fat. How you get the deficit is up to you.
  • I've always heard that you cannot build muscle while in a calorie deficit. While in a deficit you will lose both fat and muscle. Lifting will help preserve what muscle you already have, but it will not build more.
  • I found Advocare and became a distributor for a while. I realized I could get the exact same results without putting overpriced supplements in my body.
  • Why don't you just start with some baby steps, instead of jumping "all in" on a diet. This might help you not binge, and it can help you build up to a more structured diet/lifestyle/whatever you want to call it. I started by cutting out soda. Once I was comfortable with that, I started counting my calories just for my…
  • Typically I use OPA ranch dressing- it's yogurt based I think. Or I will use a mayo/mustard/onion mix. It is soooooo good with ham. And because of the mustard and onion I can use less mayo.

  • Wow...Indiana is seriously slacking. You guys like your beer!? Not sure about the beer gelato, but the jalapeno/chocolate ice cream sounds awesome. Same with the Walleye stuffed mushrooms.
  • Corndogs. My husband and I split a donut cheeseburger this year. I was disappointed with it...I would have rather had just the donut.
  • https://www.stumptuous.com/category/training/workout_ideas The info is good, and the programs are easy to follow yet challenging for a beginner.
  • That southwest chili looks great! My go to is usually taco salad with either ground venison or ground turkey.
  • I definitely prefer mornings. I like that the only people in the gym are the gossipy old ladies  It also breaks up my commute to work in the morning, which makes driving to work much more enjoyable.
  • It's a generic plan that I found on bodybuilding.com. It has deadlifts, squats, pullups (assisted), bench presses, shoulder presses, rows...all with dumbbells.
  • I'm not trying to bash beachbody. I have the Insanity program and I love it, BUT you can get a good workout without having to spend so much money. The Jillian Michaels videos on youtube are really good and really free :) I have an app called Sworkit that I really like. It's free too.
  • What kind of workouts are you finding discouraging? I like planks. Really not a whole lot to them and you can really increase your core strength over time.
  • Others, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the whole point of working out while dieting is to create an even bigger calorie deficit. People add in strength training to preserve what muscle they currently have, that way you are not losing so much muscle while in the deficit. As far as the program you purchased...it's…
  • Yeah...another one on IG screaming about "health" and how you should cut out major food groups. Oh, but let's not forget that filling your body with supplements can really help you if you hit a wall or a plateau. She's silly.
  • Yes, bareback pads are great, especially in the summer when you don't want your butt getting all sweaty from the horse. Also, if you have a horse on the thin side, or with a prominent back bone it makes it a lot more comfortable. OP, last summer I wore my heart rate monitor while riding. On 90-120 minute trail rides with…
  • I agree with this. I think you actually have to have a pretty good level of fitness to begin with in order to ride well...meaning you are balanced and aware of your various body that communicate with the horse.
  • What type of riding are you doing. English or western? For both disciplines- loping/ cantering will really work all your muscles, plus your horse. Typically, if I haven't ridden for awhile and spend about 30 minutes loping I am sore the next day, especially in my legs and core. English- Jumping. If you are not that…
  • It's likely what you are eating instead of how much you are eating. Spinach and dairy do this to me. In fact, I can't even digest spinach unless it's ground up in a smoothie or something. Take a look at what you are eating on the days that this happens. Then start eliminating/ substituting to narrow down what the culprit…
  • I like to make pancake sandwiches for the week. I make Kodiak Cakes and add some vanilla and cinnamon. The batter makes about 4-5 pancakes. Then I add turkey bacon or ham and some cheese to each cake. Fold it over and you have a little sandwich.
  • I would be jumping for joy :) My midsection is the last to lose. I will literally look really fit all over and have a belly...it's great when you've worked really hard and people ask you if you are pregnant!
