This. Having a plan for the day reduces my risk of temptation.

We have almost the same stats! Great job on your loss!! I'm 5'3.75" as well and started my journey in April at 204 pounds--I was wearing a size 18/20 at that point. I didn't notice a huge difference on my lower half until I got closer to a size 14--somewhere around 185ish pounds, I think. I'm 155 pounds at the moment and…

That's an awesome nsv!! :)

I haven't really had a difficult time shopping for jeans once I got out of plus sizes. I literally did not shop for jeans until I was around a size 12, 180ish pounds--mainly so I wouldn't depress myself. I now shop in the juniors section for all pairs of jeans--low cut skinnies, curvy skinnies, and low rise boot cut. I'm…

10/3: 158.0 Total Loss: 6.4 pounds The past couple weeks haven't been the most healthiest. My hubby's birthday was on the 28th of September so I indulged a little too much during his birthday week and then it was difficult to get back on track. This past Wednesday I was finally able to get a handle on things and lost the…

9/26: 158.8 I only lost a pound this week, (TOM just started), but I'm not feeling sad about it at all--A pound is a pound!! I'm not sure I'll achieve my goal of 150 by Halloween, that might've been a tad aggressive, but I'm definitely going to give it my all! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :)

I bought low cut skinny jeans for the first time in forever yesterday. :# And, not just any skinny jeans, Junior size 9 skinny jeans, lol--definitely had a freak out moment. They look so small that I would've bet a million dollars that they wouldn't fit. But, not only did they fit, they're actually a little big! Coming…

Starting weight: 164.4 9/5: 162.6 9/12: 164 Current weight: 159.8 I had a very good week this week!! Super proud of myself. Next week will probably be a little more difficult because my TOM is coming up, so I'm expecting to see some water weight gain. I hope everyone has a fun and healthy weekend! :)

Restricting doesn't necessarily mean "cut out all salt." For example, I restrict my salt consumption to about 2300mg a day, (a perfectly normal amount), because I've noticed through tracking that if I go over this amount I feel crappy and super bloated. Just sayin' :)

As almost every other poster has said, I think it totally depends on preference. For example, I prefer to graze throughout the day. I prelog my food--breakfast, lunch, dinner--the night before on MFP, but rarely do I actually eat them in a formal meal manner. I'll eat parts of the "meals" throughout the day. Occassionally,…

Feel free to add me! :)

That's pretty smart, lol...and to be honest, I've never realized I could do that until now--Congrats on blowing another mind! :D

The main reason I decided to start losing weight was for my son. (Who wants a mom that can't run around and play without huffing and puffing?? No one I know, lol) Since losing a little over 43 pounds, I'm still quite a ways away from my goal but I've noticed that I'm beginning to look healthier and I love that! It's…

Woohoo! Food scales are awesome--I'm definitely a food scale *kitten*!! :)

Oh, you are not alone! I am a recovering emotional eater. Anytime anything happened where I felt out of control, I'd want a treat to "make me feel better". Unfortunately, it doesn't really work--just makes you feel worse. Nowadays, I openly talk with my hubby or my mom about my fears or things that I'm getting anxiety over…

When I hit 140 pounds, 21 pounds away, I'm getting a full makeover--SUPER excited for that reward! :)

It just so happens that there's like 5 fast food places across the street from my house--I can see them clearly looking out the window, lol. Generally, I occupy myself and the temptation doesn't seem so great, but on the days where I just can't take it anymore, (I'm going to go insane), I just work whatever I eat into my…

The amount of sodium that is in pretty much every single food on this planet, lol. I don't have a medical condition that requires me to eat a low sodium diet but, if I consume over 3000mg of sodium in a day I feel super bloated and the scale jumps up like 4 pounds--it's ridiculous.
-
I jump on the scale naked every morning after using the restroom, brushing my teeth, and washing my face--creature of habit, I guess. But regardless of what the scale says, gain or loss, I always log my weight. However, if it made me go insane to weigh everyday, I'd only weigh once every other week or so. :)

Just all of sudden I started craving spaghetti squash last week...not that weird, I guess, but I haven't eaten ANY type of squash in like 5 years, lol. So tonight I'm having spaghetti squash alfredo for dinner---yumm! :)

8/29 164.4 9/5 162.6 9/12 164.0 Third weigh in today--I've had a pretty good week but I've gained some water weight it seems, lol. I'll tighten up my logging and lower my sodium intake this week and see what happens! Have a great weekend everyone :)

@raymax4 Wow!! That is so great! Definitely a victory--You should feel extremely proud of yourself :)
