Use your actual results to calculate your TDEE. If you are 100% sure that your logging is accurate, then your actual losses compared to your calorie intake (over a sufficient period of time to avoid normal fluctuations) should allow you to calculate your TDEE.

I had never heard of this. I just grabbed the birthday cake cake flavor, and I approve. Thanks for posting.

Just gonna leave this here ... http://www.emaxhealth.com/8782/update-weight-loss-surgeon-accused-botched-surgeries "An example of what could happen to a patient is highlighted by the story last year of patient David Rush who had weight loss surgery performed by Dr. Almanza only to remember feeling sick moments after…

Loseit doesn't allow you to adjust your activity level. When I first started before I had an activity tracker and was very much sedentary, loseit gave me 300 more calories per day than myfitnesspal.

Got it. Thanks a lot for that explanation.

What is a clean bulk (as opposed to just saying bulk)?

Over the span of 3 months, mine are different by 2 calories at the end of the day. I have both set to sedentary and make sure my stats are the same in both.

This is a joke, right?

It was about 1700 in loseit. Once I got a Fitbit, I discovered I needed about 8,000 steps daily to earn loseit's budget (which I was not getting). On top of that I was logging my purposeful exercise, so I was wiping out my deficit.

The same in terms of weight loss, nutrition, or some other aspect?

When I first started logging my food, I used both MFP and loseit. I found the assumed activity level in loseit much too high for me. My daily loseit calorie budget was 350 calories higher than MFP at sedentary. As others have suggested, I do recommend using a food scale. But, it is possible that loseit is assuming you're…

2 rounds = 6 weeks, right? So 60+ pounds in 6 weeks - an average of 10+ pounds per week?

So if you don't want to hear "CICO" or "eat less than you burn," what would be an acceptable message ... Cuz "everyone is different" seems pretty useless.

Thanks, but no apologies are necessary. I didn't think you were touchy, and there's no harm in asking for clarification.

Not pointed at anyone although you are one of many here with great advice. It just seems like a lot of people are complaining about how useless and obnoxious the forums are. I'm trying to understand, but I don't get it. If the forums don't help, don't use them ... But maybe I'm misinterpreting the message.

I don't understand why some folks stick around if the forums suck so much and are just filled with pushy, sarcastic, condescending meanies ... I love what I learn here. After 2 kids and 10 years of trying to lose the weight, I've lost 32 pounds using MFP. I can honestly say I would not have been this successful without the…
