Gremlins kicked my behind over the weekend. Didn't log anything until today. *sigh* But I did get my 15 minute walk in today!
-
Welcome to new folks! Glad you're here!

Promise not to laugh too much? Was getting dressed for work this morning, and my pants fell down.
-
A sperm whale's brain and 10 dozen large eggs - as of today!
-
For yesterday: Me 1/2 Gremlins 1 1/2. (I did log everything for yesterday, but didn't finish logging it until this morning. And yesterday's walking got cut short).

Small steps. Taking the time to build good habits and break bad ones. Realizing that this is not a diet, but a lifestyle.
-
I had to tighten my belt a notch this morning.
-
Today I want to log everything I eat and walk for at least fifteen minutes at lunch.
-
Me: 2 Gremlins: 0 Looks like the skillet fended them off for today!
-
Hello new folks! I'm relatively new here too. We *can* do this!
-
*gets out the cast-iron skillet* I'm ready! Bring on the gremlins! *THUD*

Can I play? My daily goals starting 6/17/2015 1. Log what I eat. 2. Walk for at least 15 minutes a day.

Today I want to log everything I eat. I want to walk for at least 15 minutes at lunch. I want to cook dinner tonight instead of grabbing takeout.

Despite my weight and other health issues, I am pretty happy with my life. Mrs. Rabbit and I just celebrated our 18th anniversary. She is all my heart, all my soul, and all the warmth in this world. We have been together for two decades, and it's been the best twenty years of my life.

*whispers* It's "Mr" Rabbit.

Hello, I'm the Rueful Rabbit. Took my moniker from a series of books on bridge (the card game) which is one of my passions. I'm a 53 y/o guy who drives a desk for a living. I'm sedentary by nature and occupation, and I'm a comfort eater. I joke that I'm allergic to exercise - the truth is that I don't enjoy it at all. I…

Computer games: World of Warcraft, Diablo II and III, and Banished. Science fiction: I'm old-school - grew up on Asimov, Heinlein, Bradbury, et al. Fantasy: I bend the knee to J.R.R. Tolkein, whose works, IMNSHO, set the standard. Anime: I'm reading the Sailor Moon manga (on the recommendation of my wife). Love Star Trek…

I would like more friends.

That is an awesome explanation. I have the same problem as OP - I can be "good" for a few days and then I backslide.

Luck is fickle. I will, instead, wish you SUCCESS!

Beautiful dog!

welcome to the boards!

Spud, one thing to consider is getting rid of the word "diet". To get the weight off and keep it off, you need to make permanent changes in your lifestyle - otherwise it will come right back.

This coworker is not a friend. She's just someone I interact with a couple times a week. She's never said anything remotely like that to me before. Her comment was rude. It was hurtful. It was also (so far) a one-time thing. I did, however, make a date/time stamped note to myself and have filed it away in case this happens…

The key for me is small steps. Like parking at the far end of the parking lot so I have to walk in to work. I started parking at the half-way point.
-
So twenty minutes later, I've decided to take the moral high-ground. I am going to ignore this person (other than the interaction I must have with her for work), and take it as motivation to keep up with my plan to lose weight and get healthier. Unfortunately for making an HR complaint, being fat isn't a protected status.

I will check out those videos too.

I skipped the first 637 pages... Confession: I don't eat nearly the calories MFP says I should.
