  • I am no help, as i am currently still running outside. However, i had somewhat the same story you have. I ran in a 5k, note key word "in" lol. I didn't run the whole 5k but finished it in 46 minutes i think. I was proud. I was sore. I didn't run again for almost 2 years. I just started back up in may this year. I am only…
  • Thanks! I will try that.
  • Well... wow. I read a few of the comments posted. Some of them are rude as can be. As i read your initial post, i thought to myself that you must've been talking about something like a wrap of sorts. Not an actual coreset. I have a freind that used to wrap herself in seran wrap to increase her sweating. She swore by it! I…
  • Awesome! Thanks for all the responses. I have been walk/running about 3x, sometimes only 2x per week and walking 2x per week. But i feel extremely sore. I wasn't sure what i should be doing. I think I'm not eating enough protein and definitely not stretching enough after. All i do for warm up and cool downs is walking.
  • No. Just no! Lol.. that type of drug is a stimulant and can cause some very serious side effects. They don't discuss the possibility of developing pulmonary hypertension when they give this drug out. Pulmonary hypertension is basically high blood pressure in your lungs, affecting the right side of your heart rather than…
  • You can't go wrong with some good old fashioned walking! Start slow/shorter distances and work up to a faster pace/longer distances. Map my walk is an app i use for free. There are also several exercise apps that are free. I like interval training, too, since it works both cardio and strength training. Good luck!
  • Ems, you just keep on runnin away! If you have to go another route, you should. If you ignore their words, soon enough they may become more nasty. I don't know for sure, and i hate to be so pessimistic. I am normally not. But kids are the worst. You are doing what's best for you, and don't stop. Truth is, when i run, i…
  • Yeah! That's what's up! Keep it up.
  • I would choose the generic aerobic option in cardio. I don't know if that's the right answer but seems like it'd be high intensity areobic exercise to me. I have been wanting to try that set out! I may try to get it soon.
  • Good info yall! Thanks so much.
  • It is great! You can add me as a friend.
  • It's a pretty great tool! I've been on almost 3 weeks now and have learned alot. Feel free to add me ad a friend.
  • You can add me too... and it can be done!
  • Pcos is terrible! I've been dealing with it since i was 14. It's hard to say what has worked for me... several different bc pills and supplements. I struggle with metabolic syndrome and am really on the edge of being diabetic... a1c was 6.2 at my physical a month ago. Dr gave me 3 months to try and show progress or she's…
  • I am so addicted to sugar. I try and try to kick it. But it's really hard. Lol...
  • Me too!

  • Hi! I am exactly in that same boat. I am and have been struggling with this pcos for years. I am now borderline diabetic. I have metabolic syndrome/insuline resistance. I am really motivated by fear right now. My hemaglobin a1c was 6.2, at 6.3 you are considered diabetic. Triglycerides are through the roof, not to mention,…
  • It is hard, but it does get easier. It takes time to get a hold of. I am a junk food junki from way back! Today, for example, i had all the wrong foods. I was over on my calories, fat, carbs, and sugar before 2pm. Being that i logged everything i knew i would have to exercise today, and eat a very modest dinner. I did…

  • Ok. Thanks for the response. I've posted this in 3 different places and you're the only responder. Lol... i really appreciate it.
  • I also do c25k. Immediately (within 15 minutes)after my run, i take in 20g of protein via post workout recovery drink. Then i eat more protein and potassium rich foods within an hour or 2 after the post workout drink i have. Yesterday, however, i got locked out of my house, missed my recovery drink and had to wait 2 hours…
  • Wow! That's inspirational : )
  • I have started c25k again. I did it last year, but as the weather and jobs changed, i faded out of the run. So I'm back at it, and knowing all my kinks from the first time. I am thankful for that! I did find a post workout recovery drink that is amazing and helps my body heal after my intervals. It's called afterglow, i…

  • I do get the lower sodium turkey breast, i don't use much salt. I do need to get better recipes to make yummy lower sodium meals. The processed stuff is definitely a downfall for me. And fast food. I can choose better options at restaurants, but unfortunately, they are 2 days worth of sodium intake in just 1 meal.
  • Spaghetti squash is a great alternative to noodles! And it is low carb/calorie too. You can bake, grill, boil or newk it. You can add sauce and meat for a main dish or eat it plain as a side. Prep ahead, stays good for a few days.
