I feel your pain Lynn. Same problem here. Just trying to figure out how to get that switch in my head back to where I was successful. Amazing how fast weight comes back with lack of control!

Someone on FB once posted a quote saying you are not a failure in your weight loss journey unless you give up. After gaining back almost half my ninety pound loss, a talk with my doctor on strategy, and continue to try to achieve a balance of weight and health...this will be repeated in my head many more times.

How quickly the pounds come back compared to how slowly the pounds come off. ☹️ I see it and working to get in right frame of mind again, but oh so hard.
-
Ugh...why did the switch in my head flip and it has gotten so hard not to overeat. Still struggling daily, but haven't given up even with more bad days than good days of eating.

I'm not so sure I'm a success. After losing 90 lbs. I have been horrible in my eating and calories consumed. Today I was in the ice cream I got for a weekend retreat with friends and only stopped after rinsing the last quart of ice cream down the drain. Each day is a new start, but seems like with all the things going on…

Down 90 lbs. and 61! One question though. I expected more energy and that hasn't been the case. Is it an age thing and you haven't experienced a big increase in energy either? I do walk two miles a day, but otherwise not real active.

Congrats....keep going! I'm same height and went from Sz 24 to 12 in little over a year. Never have stayed the course for so long before and hope to maintain for life and end the yo yo events.

Time for a boost by trying on my starting weight pants size 24w. Now at a slightly loose size 14. Seems unreal to think I use to wear those pants.

No more skin yeast infections in creases.

I've been light headed from low blood pressure too...guess this forum helps. Will see what more salt does for me. 86 Lbs. ago they were thinking I was about ready for med for high blood pressure.

I find I take the time to dress better now, even when I'm home all day.

JanetMMcC I have around fifteen more pounds to lose. I won't be as low as the charts show, but healthy and hopefully easier to maintain that level at age 60+. Think I may just go to 100 lbs. to say I've lost that big. Another "one" as good as onederland was!

After a three year time of seeing a kidney specialist, I have been discharged from needing to see him any more with great lab results. All in part to over 83 lb. loss. He said he didn't think he had seen a patient lose that much without bariatric surgery. Thanks MFP for your part in my success to date!

Officially dismissed from needing to see kidney specialist today...largely in part to over an eighty pound loss with healthy eating and no bariatric surgery!

After losing 82 lbs. to date, I've discovered jeans can be comfortable and keep me more aware of changes in body. Before always wore sweats at home.

I don't have a dog, but the neighbor is happy to have me go out walking with theirs while they are at work.

Been yo yo many, many times. Hopefully with MFP and avoid triggers it will be a lasting journey. Keep trying and you'll feel better and loss will be lasting. I'm down 71 lbs. now and most weight and longest I've ever stayed on track. Good eating to you.

If your doctor set the calorie limit of 1200, there may be other information we are not aware of. Hopefully he has had you talk to a dietitian too.

I can wear my husband's jeans now after 67 lb. loss.

Everyone is different in how their weight loss journey goes, but it can be done. From a 60 year old that has lost 65 lbs. since last May.

Sugar free Jello pudding (60 calories) helps my chocolate craving. I've even put it in the freezer for an hour to give me my ice cream fix too.

Congratulations on your retirement and goal. After retiring from my stressful job, it took about 18 months to feel good. Don't be discouraged... It is so worth it!
-
Walking! I've got back issues and that is one activity I can consistent do... Just a matter of how long I walk on a given day.

Thanks all for you comments! Guess I'll eat two fruits and be more concerned with calories in total.
