Hi there! 46 into jogging, lifting, and losing. Shall we lift each other up? Add me!
-
Good idea I'll try that.
-
Ok thanks everyone, I'll log it as circuit training. I was hoping for something a little more accurate, especially when I start to gain weight, apparently there is not technology for that yet.

No

Nice workout, thats about 2 hours?

Lunges work your gluts better than any other exercise I have ever found. This is true only if you are going knee to ground or very, very, close. You can hold dumbells in your hands if you are comfortable with the movements. If you have access to a gym I would consider switching cardio to stair machine or perhaps row…

Log it as cardio under strength training. If you are trying to lose weight I wouldn't eat back all those calories. I figure it's an average of body parts. I probably burn more on leg day and less on arm day than what they list.
-
I would keep the rollerblade, add in some weight training about 3x a week. If you have time use those body weight exercises as hiit workouts. Ie: 20 squats, 15 situps, 10 pushups, 5 burpees: rest 30 seconds repeat 3 rounds.

I drink one to two cups daily. Mine end up being close to 105 wise with sugar/creamer. Thats primarily the only sugar that comes in. Is it garbage? Yes I know it, but im generally about 300-400 cal under per day. If you love it, keep it and take off the calories in other places. Caffeine by itself increases metabolism, it…

Thanks ill go look it up.

I doubt you can measure them accurately without a heart rate monitor. The exercises are so varied as is the intenisity level between each workout. I put mine in as vigorous calisthenics. It gives me a low amount of calories for it, possibly way low but im trying to lose weight so I dont care. The last workout a guy had a…

Fellow crossfitter here, the stretches at the beginning (or end) are not enough to produce flexibility. Stick with the yoga or add 20-30 minutes daily of stretches. It takes forever to gain flexibility so don't expect fast gains. Just keep at it.

Great job!! Good ideas!
-
Originally to improve performance in my crossfit gym, now its just kinda fun and to see if I can get an 8 pack.
-
Great job!!

Cold brownies...no problem. Hot brownies very difficult, I had good willpower that day.

I've attempted to self teach myself most of the oly lifts. A) yes you can get stronger doing them yourself and you will.gain power B) you will probably be doing them wrong. I've had to retrain myself to work on cleans, snatches, jerks etc. Fixing a problem you've had wrong for a year or two of lifting blows.

You are toning!! Calves look great! Are you suplementing your crossfit with extra stuff?
-
Great post good information. I also feel starved part of the time since starting crossfit. I usually fuel up on massive amounts of meat and the hit some extra cardio to put me under calories.
-
This is just me, but I don't log my strength training exercises even compound ones. 5x5 front squats today with a 3 sec pause on ground followed by 3 sets max effort handstand pushups, would be what 60 cal maybe? To me its not worth adding its just extra burn, but I guess thats only if you are trying to lose weight.

20~30 min of sprints is plenty if you are pushing yourself. Are you exhausted at the end of it? if not go faster. You could also vary the rest periods up particularly if its getting easy. Try a 45, 30, 15, sec rest. If it was me id try all 4 rest periods in the same workout to stress your body everytime.

Hello! Enjoy your crossfit. Im working back into it after 12 months off. Using MFP to tone down the weight for those body weight exercises. I just started about a month ago, squats, deadlifts, cleans are all waaay up. Shoulder musculature very inreased. Im competitive and I like that atmosphere as it pushes me harder. Im…

Ewww klondike and hotdogs? Seriously? Hmmm, a new fair food, battered hotdogs (funnel cake batter) drenched in butter, wrapped in ice cream dipped in chocolate. I had a coworker show me videos of of battered/fried watermelon and that stuff looked goooood.
-
Great add me!
-
I have a sweet tooth so yes. I usually just go for a piece of dark chocolate and that is enough, although im not giving up sugar in my coffee.
-
I agree! Free stuff at our office all of the time. Yes gym helps, but 5 slices of pizza would probably be 10 miles of running for good pizza. I shudder to think of how much lifting it would require. Although there was a blog against it I was considering a cheat day on the major holidays.
-
Ill look that up thanks!

Haha mean! I like it.
