Crossfitters here?

Hubby and I are going to our first class tonight and I'm so excited! I went to one once and loved it, but I want to know how dedicated Crossfitters do it....how did it change your mind/body for the better?

    Hello! Enjoy your crossfit. Im working back into it after 12 months off. Using MFP to tone down the weight for those body weight exercises. I just started about a month ago, squats, deadlifts, cleans are all waaay up. Shoulder musculature very inreased. Im competitive and I like that atmosphere as it pushes me harder. Im down from 225 to about 210-212 ish with a month of xfit and about 3 days a week of some running/swimming, and MFP of course. I take no supplements and I didnt want to do any shakes. Im starting to actually feel trim now. Make sure you have a good coach, avoid injuries, and take a rest day when you feel your body needs it.

    This is my second week. While I have some issues with certain body parts, I'm encouraged and looking forward to some great changes in my life. I'll be 53 in just a few months and would like to make a significant difference in my body by then. I stand 5'8" and weigh 219 as of this morning. With my advanced years lol, I have nothing to prove to anyone other than myself (and my wife)... so I'm all about going slow and NOT over doing it, yet working hard enough to KNOW I've worked hard.

    Thanks for the question @sharmilav2 as I was wondering the same thing. I just started CF last week.

    You will love it, I do cross fit 4 days a week thing are always different
