  • She said it in a tone that was condescending and rude. When I saw her later she apologized. And she's not a gym supervisor. She's a coworker (and not a personal trainer or gym employee) I had made it clear enough that I didn't want to work out with her and then she came over to be disapproving of the one and only thing…
  • Nuh uh. You forgot that on a hot day you can cool down with an iced tea and that on a cold day you can warm up with a hot tea. So temperature. That belongs on the list.

  • Now he eats one bag a day. Very slowly.
  • We went to this place called BurgerFi. They've got some burgers for around 650. And if you build your own you can do it for less than that!
  • I honestly considered it. But cashews are seeds so it wouldn't have been accurate. ;)
  • I've done this! My fries always get cold but it totally works- it's easier to say no to cold fries, lol.
  • What everyone else has said. Pre-planning and portion control. If I'm going to eat something that has a lot of calories (like pizza or a Reuben) I decide how much I'm going to eat before the food arrives. I tell myself that I will feel full after TWO slices of pizza or just HALF my sandwich and a few fries. Then I take my…
  • Ooo... I like the thought of fried rice. Noodles and parm sounds dangerous. I've always had trouble with pasta and portion control. I'm going to try the rice though. That sounds delicious! Thanks for the idea!!
  • So glad you enjoyed them. I like King Oscar too! My husband just ordered 12 cans of Wild Planet Sardines online so it looks like they'll be a regular meal for us too!
  • Hmmmm! I hadn't thought of a pizza! Or making a tomato sauce with them. Sounds yummy!
  • I added you! Plus my diary is open. Let's help each other!
  • Wow! That's awesome! How long did it take you?
  • That's what it always looks like for me. I usually stir it just before using it.
  • I like to walk too!
  • I like simple chicken recipes the best. For boneless/ skinless breasts or thighs: - heat a small amount of cooking fat in a skillet. - pat the chicken dry and add salt, pepper, and a dried seasoning or two. (Endless possibilities: garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, paprika, basil, oregano, cumin, red pepper flakes).…
  • Google '3 ingredient recipes.' Lots of ideas for simple, quick meals.
  • Protein bars, beef jerky or other dried meat packets of tuna (the pouches are lighter than canned), protein powder to mix with water (maybe?), cashews, peanuts or other nuts, raisins, dried apples or other dried fruit. I've also seen olives in pouches which would be easy to carry. If you have a Trader Joe's, they sell…
  • Gatlinburg is like one big carnival. Funnel cakes everywhere. And pizza. And popcorn. Every 10 feet. It's hard to eat well there, great job! The only thing that kept me even was going for a long hike in the national park. Also, the hubby and I only stayed two nights (back in June.)
  • I like some homemade chicken soup when I feel icky. Cook up some chicken with onions, celery, carrots, and plenty of broth. Add some noodles or rice or sweet potato if you want it to be more filling. Warm and comforting and low calorie!
  • Sometimes I'll dilute a small serving of a higher calorie dressing with water or milk- covers more veggies that way. Adding salt and pepper adds a lot of flavor too!
