I started with 5kg dumbbell each arm, and the same dumbbell for squats/lunges etc. Did that for a 3 weeks or so, then got me a barbell, 15 kg total, been doing that for 2 weeks and am feeling now I need more, so going to start adding slowly. I do 8 reps for arms, and 6 for legs. I also use 1.1kg leg strap weights for other…

You are definitely not a failure! We all go through this, some more than others but everybody struggles in life. I've been there many times myself and I know how hard it is to fight it off. That's why we're all here. To support each other in this. This article might help…

I took advice from a lot of people on here, yours as well @MsJulesRenee  and it seems to work! On extremely long workouts, might get a bit sore, but nothing like before, no blisters anymore, that's for sure..Thank you and everyone else who replied, you guys rock!

Eat clean, cut down on carbs, up proteins, veggies, herbs & spices, eat healthy fats, minimal sugars - couple pieces of fruit a day, teaspoon sugar/honey in your coffee/tea or not ( reward yourself sometimes off course otherwise if you restrict yourself completely you will end up binging), limit your alcohol and chose…

Oh wow, thanx so much :)

I just eat within my calorie restriction most of the time, I eat my carbs in the morning and after a workout as they are utilised well at this time with no consequences. I got used to not eating eg. rice with my dinners and desserts unless I'm dining out on a special occasion, I will have cake late. The next morning I will…

Cut 400-500 from your diet, especially from carbs (mainly bread, pasta, sugar etc) and exercise 4-5 per week. Won't take too long if you do this.

I'm interactive like you and completely understand what you are saying. In having said that, not everybody is like us and we don't know what goes on in people's lives. Maybe they are here to get motivation from people like us, not everybody's loud and everyone is at a different level not only on fitness/nutrition but as a…

I think I have to pay a visit to one of those specialty sports stores, I did get new merino wool socks, double paired them, used vaseline and good bandaids and went for a long walk/run today. I did nearly twice as much as last time and only in the last 20 mins of it, started to feel blisters coming on again, well the same…

Hahaha correct, not really a concern but thanx for pointing that out :)

Freshly squeezed orange juice, pure coconut water, home made almond milk - or organic additive free, herbal tea or any tea you prefer, V8 homemade juice or organic store bought (a lot of salt in those still plus main veg is tomato)...

Same here. What I would do is cut down carbs in half or a third depending on the dish and how much protein and veggies there are. Or just try and order non carb dishes. Nice feeling soup but no dipping bread etc. may not be easy for everyone, my other half simply doesn't eat soup without bread. I just cut down carbs and…

I almost always go for seafood oh and wine, always a glass or two ;)

I've had those once, they felt weird, like I had something between my toes. Haven't really worn them, does the weird feel go away after getting used to them?
-
Yes, I've heard that before, will do, thanx!

Thanx everyone for your responses, helps a lot. Will def try and get better appropriate socks and see how I go

Yeah stevia tastes funny, kind of burns my throat when in coffee or hot chocolate. I try and avoid all these new ' amazing ' foods the industry comes up with. I agree about coconut sugar, I don't find it sweet enough and no its not the same for sure, its better to bake with- I only get it when its on sale. The tastiest is…

Depending on your goals. I do both. Body weight mainly for arms as I don't want too much muscle there, just some tone and weights for legs, focus area.

That sound delish! This reminded me of a sweet version, pancakes with eggs, banana and cinnamon..Gotta find my old recipe, been a while! Not my post I know, sowi but thanx!

You are welcome darl, happy to help :) add me if you like

The best advice is to eat healthy and hydrate yourself properly. I only take omega3 and magnesium because they seem a bit harder to obtain from food, unless you eat oily fish 3 times per week etc. Drink pure coconut water for electrolytes but only after a workout because you will lose it due to sweating, iodised salt in…

True, everybody's different. Well I do cardio and lift weights 5 days per week, yesterday did 10km walk, today resting so I have to stick to 1200, maybe my body is hungry after that lol plus according to my details, I require 1400 cal to exsist, for bodily functions only, so not sure how healthy this 1200 calorie…

I use honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar. Never been a big fan of artificial sweeteners, not even the supposedly healthy one, stevia.

I get off the track regularly but always get back on it. Don't try and be perfect and don't beat yourself up too much. For me personally, I exercise and eat healthier because it helps me sleep better, and everything starts there. If I don't sleep well, I tend to binge on junk food to make up the energy. Allow yourself to…

1200 calories will do it but I don't like it. Today I'm resting and that's all I have to eat, I'm starving! I don't know how you do it, it hurts..
-
Sounds good, I'll give it a go, thanx so much!
-
I don't run that much, mainly outdoor walking/hiking
-
Thanx for the advice, might give merino wool a go :) I do have problem feet though, always had to have fitted shoes but still get problems. What is a body glide? Is it a tape?

After workout for me as your body utilises carbs well and you need good replenishment. Dinner is next for me although I try not to eat carbs at this time
