  • I started the C25K back in May and then other commitments (rehearsals 3 times a week which were also a good workout!) And re-started the app today. Was running for 60 secs and walking for 90secs, definitely didn't feel as bad as when I started the first time! There is a 5k in my area in 12 weeks so going to sign up for…
  • I use MapMyWalk/Run and it states how many calories it thinks I've burned. I half that amount and log it on mfp. For me, it's not about logging the time or the level (12k pem min, 9k per min), I use the other apps for that. It's about logging those calories and eating them back to fuel my workout (or being able to have a…
  • I'm looking to lose 35-40lbs for ordering my wedding dress in november. You can do it! Xx
  • Meringue nests! 50-60 cals per nest and sooooooo sweet! Xx
  • One of my favourite desserts is apple & raspberry crumble, and now I tend to make it without the crumble topping! Works out about 60 cals per portion. Not necessarily smaller but I also love fresh strawberries or raspberries with some low fat uht canned cream and meringue nests. Xx
  • So I was helping cheer on runners at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival today with my theatre group friends, for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity we work closely with. We've decided to run a 5k in November! Means we have 5 full months to get ready for it. Wish me luck!! Xx

  • The caramel rice cakes arw lovely too. I weigh out 25g of sweet popcorn in a bowl and indulge in front of the tv. Works out about 100cals but you get a lot for your cals! Xx
  • I'm looking to loose at least 30lbs before I order my wedding dress in November. Feel like I'm doing really well this week considering I'm performing in 2 concerts this weekend which usually results in crap eating x
  • I normally weigh the dish I'm using, whether that's a casserole dish, soup pot, what have you, and keep a note of that. Then once you've listed your ingredients (say your recipe serves 4), weight everything including the dish, minus the eeight if the dish you previously recorded, and divide by 4, does that make sense? For…
  • I don't log diet drinks, water, or tea. I also don't log butter on my toast or sugar in my tea. I know I'd lose weight a little quicker of I did log these 2 things but I'm ok with it, it's how I've always done it, even on weight watchers.
  • So I haven't been on track since late march due to my birthday and lots of other family events. Ready to get back on it, but injured my ankle 2 weeks ago and it's still really painful. I feel like I'd be better motivated if I could exercise but struggling! Xx
  • Me too! Really struggling with motivation but my dress is picked, and I need to get measured for it and order it in November so I have til then to get wedding ready! I currently weigh 197lbs and would ideally like to drop 30-35lbs. I'm 5ft 6 and 30yrs old. I get married August 2017. Hope we can support each other on here!…
  • I was doing WW and did really well on the ProPoints system but like many, found the new Smart Points system far too restrictive. I qork 12hr days in an office, I love that I can have an oreo or curly wurly with my cup of tea in the afternoon and not be "punished" for it, which is what was happening on WW xx
  • If I'm at home (4 days a week) I tend to have an idea of what I'll eat and log asI go. When I work the other 3 days, it's an 12hr day, I leave at 6am and get home around 6.30 so if I don't pre-log those days, I would totally overeat. I tend to have the same things for breakfast, smoothie &yogurt at 6.30am and porridge…
  • You could half the time you log? So log 30mins on the treadmill instead of 60mins, for example, and eat back only those calories?
  • I was at home so had a fried egg, 2 potato scones, and 4 bacon medallions with some brown sauce. Came in around 430cals x
  • I absolutely hated the new smart points system, it took away so much freedom in terms of sweet stuff coming out at double the points they were before!! I like that I can still have a sweet treat as long as I'm counting it. I had a food scale anyway so that was easy, what I found....not difficult but strange, was having to…
  • I used to make tuna pasta all the time but the pasta makes it so high in calories so I've taken to making the sauce and eating it on it's own. Chop a large white onion and fry off, add a tin of chopped tomatoes or a carton of passata, mixed herbs, garlic powder, chilli flakes, little sugar and some tomato puree, and some…

  • Hi all, I'm in edinburgh. Started on MFP after realising how much I hate the new points system on Weight watchers. Just under 14st now, looking to lose 2st at least by November which is when I need to order my wedding dress! Xx
  • I'm slimming for my wedding next year! Deposit is paid on my dress and I go back in november to get measured and order it, so need to be at my ideal weight by then xx
  • I have a digestive biscuit with a cup of tea or a curly wurly (from the fridge, lasts longer!), and marshmallows in the cupboard. I make sure I have a small portion so that I'm satisfying my sweet tooth. Friday, I went for a 3 course dinner including cheesecake, was 500 cals over my daily limit, weighed in today and have…
