Thanks. Front it is

My target cals is about 3000 a day. After factoring in lifting and my walks the app says I have about 500 or so left each day. But I wasn't sure if k should really factor that in seeing I'm meeting my daily goals

Great!

Got it. Thanks. So the take away I'm seeing as this fasting approach won't mater either way. Ideally what I wanted to do was keep eating at a little surplus over next few weeks and then continue lifting but eat under goals slightly ahead of the summer. But still looking to get 175g protein a day. It's very vein plan but I…

I went from 177 to 135 when I was strictly cutting calories and reached that in about month 9 while lifting and doing a lot of cardio. About 5 months ago I upped my calories - adding about 300 calories a day, cut down on cardio and changed my lifting plan. My bench went from 135 to 165 today. Squats and desdlift also…

I'm trying to look more at what I put in my body than how much. I am looking to build muscle and right now in prioritizing protein so I'm more willing to eat more calories with protein rich foods than something with less calories and devoid of protein. I just wonder if I keep that up over time am I going to gain weight…

Noticing deficit through tracking. I noticed I gained 3 pounds a few weeks ago. The first time I saw any gain in months and coincidentally right around the time I added some calories. Before then I was at the same weight for months. FYI I'm 5'9", 147.

Thanks for feedback. I am trying to gain some muscle. I'm 5'9" and 146 now.

I can say without a doubt not pregnant :) I am eating about the same type of food I've eaten last year but just introduced more carbs back into my diet and not sugar and refined carbs, good ones. I also aim to get 180-200 grams of protein a day I'm currently 5'9" and 146

Hey can you give me an idea of what foods you're eating to get to 3k a day? I need some help getting there without it being crap. Thanks
-
Exactly one year since I dedicated myself to clean healthy eating - 90% of the time :)

Don't think my asking this group questions and stating some of my concerns or paranoia makes people think I'm too skinny. Just trying to gauge what I need to do to meet goals and not revert

What else is influencing it?

It's so confusing Sometimes. A calorie is a calorie? I would think 250 calories from fruits and veggies is better than 250 calories from a Snickers bar, no?

At the beginning of the year I was 171. I went on a strict diet and lose 30 pounds. All while adding the cardio kickboxing. I was always lifting even when I was on the heavy side but I always had a layer of fat over my body especially my midsection. My biggest fear is gaining that visceral belly fat that looks like…

When I was trying to lose I was at 1800 calories a day. Now I'm at like 2300 a day and lifting 4x a week. But also doing kickboxing 4x a week. Not sure that is hurting but it's my only form of cardio

I weigh 144 and I'm 5'9". I don't feel thin when I look in the mirror. But thanks everyone for the feedback it's good to hear

7 months in. 35 lbs down. Won't complain. But struggling with muscle gains despite lifting 4x a week.

I love working out. I feel so good after a workout even if it's a quick one. It does enhance my mood. Plus it's an excuse for some alone time from my hectic work and family. I look forward to each day. Of course some days I'll feel a little less enthusiastic about it. But I always walk away happy.

Maybe I am not doing it accurate at all I am doin 3 minutes slow 2 minutes medium 1 all of sprint. Rinse repeat for 25 mins. Not HIIT? I'm also at a weeks stage. I don't need to lose weight but I want to get toned and Lean hence lifting is very important so I'm not a stick figure. But I also don't want any flab in areas.

Thanks to 5 hour energy and everyone's comments I made it to the gym this am. New day as you all say. Thanks!

This has encouraged me to share. Still a work in progress! This is 3 months from 177 to 156

Cool. The hero it will be

I thought starchy carbs like in white bread were notoriously worse in that it spikes blood levels and turns to fat much faster.
-
Glad I'm not alone. I'm trying to focus less on weight and my goal is reducing body fat and measuring monthly. That should kee me on my toes.
-
Cool I'm going to test the waters. Pun pitifully intended.
-
Steve. Do you have some tips you can share. I think I'm at the stage to make that decision to get lean as you mentioned.

If I focus now on getting stronger. Moving up in weights. Should I expect to see my weight go up with increased muscle? I just want to be sure I'm going on right direction with muscle gains and not fat. I really think so much if this is all mental. At least a lot
