  • So I haven't been feeling the best and with everything shutting down except for my job (which I am still grateful to be receiving my paycheck, believe me about that) I was just feeling super blah. I've also been sick the last couple of days and this pounding headache is just not leaving me alone along with a bunch of other…
  • Tomorrow is my official weigh in day for charting purposes, but I know it's gonna be a good week. The one positive for the way I'm weighing this month. I just have to be careful and not let myself obsess over it. Instead, I'm obsessing over something else: clothing. I'm trying to keep it short but almost 90% of my clothing…
  • February was a bit of a dead month. Scale issues, back problems and flagging resolve means that nothing much happened. I'm resolving to change that this month. In an effort to hold myself accountable, I'm weighing every day so I can get used to the fluctuations of my body, and I also took my measurements yesterday, to give…
  • I sized down in clothes again. Some of my jeans have gone in the donation bin because they are just too large, my shirts are super baggy for the most part and it's no longer war to get certain pairs of leggings on. I'm not looking forward to replacing them, but geeze does it feel good.
  • I fell off the wagon last month and I need to focus. Big goal this month to try and force myself to focus. March start Weight: 213.3 LBS March Goal Weight: 204 LBS Ultimate Goal Weight: 150 LBS(though I may stop earlier, have to see.) Mar 1 : 213.3 LBS Mar 8: Mar 15: Mar 22: Mar 29: Mar 31:
  • I can only speak from second hand experience of watching my mother go through the sleeve process and several of her friends going through the other procedures. So please, take what I say with a grain of salt. The weight comes off easy at first. You're going to see a huge drop in the beginning just from the fact that for…
  • I bought one box of Tagalongs because my boss brought a sheet into work for his Granddaughter. To me at least, the cookies don't really taste as good as they used to and at $5 a box, it's not really worth it. I'll always buy one or two anyways because I was a Girl Scout once and you gotta make that cookie quota but…
  • So I won't have a weight until Monday, because that is my weigh in day and I know I'm a bit bloated right now but over the course of January, I lost over ten pounds-- close to 14 actually. My weigh in last Monday put me at 212.5 lbs which means not only am I less than 13 pounds away from leaving the 200s behind (forever!),…
  • So I haven't posted since my original post in here on December 31st and I'm a bit ashamed of myself because I promised to try and do better! I've actually done...way more than I expected. I haven't been able to really hit on all of my monthly resolutions. The gym has mostly been a bust so far and I've gotten a lot less…
  • I have exactly one full body photo, in jeans and a T-shirt, from my absolute heaviest. By the end of this year, I am determined it will be joined with a full body photo of me at my goal weight, in jeans and a T-shirt. It's been just about 60 pounds since then and almost no photos exist of me between then and now, certainly…
  • A nice chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream.
  • Just some simple whole body circuits. Intensity was overall lower, but I know from previous experience that it's going to ebb and flow a bit until I find the midpoint between "pushing too hard and making myself sick" and "I could do better".
  • Did a lower body workout for the first time in weeks earlier and it kicked my butt. My legs had that nice rubbery feeling walking up the stairs afterwards. As a side note, I had kinda forgotten how much I hated reverse lunges.
  • Focus is my word of the year! Starting Weight Overall: 280lbs+ I don't remember the exact number. Current Weight: 226lbs Height: 5'9" I slacked off at the end of 2019, but I'm starting 2020 fresh and I'm going to do it right. I'm still working on the resolutions, and I'll have most of them figured out by the end of the…
  • I have a lot of seemingly lofty goals that I want to start reaching for and even if I don't necessarily meet all of them perfectly, I will be happy with being closer to achieving them. My major goal of the year? 75 pounds down. I lost 55 last year and I slacked off for the last 3-4 months of the year. I also have a lot of…
  • Doing a bit of cleaning before heading out to the movies.
  • Starting Weight: 278 Current Weight: Somewhere around 228 (I usually weigh Monday mornings just for the consistency of when I wake up) Goal Weight: Set at 170, though the more I think about it the more I'm using this as a "This is a technically healthy weight so I'm going to use it as an evaluation point of where to go…
  • Starting Weight: 278LB overall, 268LB on MFP Starting weight this month: 228LB Goal weight this month: 220LB (though if I can get below that, I'll be even happier) Target goal weight: I'm going to break this down a bit because I do still have so much weight to lose. Next Goal: 199LB Evaluation Point: 170LB Likely Final…
  • This. In moderation, I can eat most of the others with only minor to no issues. Too much and ouch. But milk? Oh I want just a tiny bit? Bring on the pain.
  • When I was trying to encourage my mom to start taking her health seriously and agreed to go with her to be her buddy. I weighed more than she did and was well on my way to 300 pounds. That was my initial kick in the behind. 40ish pounds lost later, I was flagging in my resolve and took some before photos when I tried to…
  • If I'm eating out? I generally always try to remember to add an extra 1/8 portion to my log. Even in prepackaged foods it's better to estimate high since generally they're going to be over the advertised serving size by a bit. No estimation or logging is going to be perfect. But overestimating what you have, it's always…
  • Anyone can add me if they want! I'm trying to post more, but I LOVE seeing people post and seeing their progress!
  • To lose just enough weight for me to try on the absolutely ginormous pile of jeans I just found which are the size down from what I'm wearing. Another five pounds or so should do it for most of them.
  • There was slack left on an airplane seatbelt when I was in a plane at the beginning of the week. Back in November, it was so tight and I barely avoided having to get an extender. It was an amazing feeling.
  • Because I have a goal, and losing weight, getting fit, it's part of the journey to get there. Not being winded as I walk up the stairs is also a super nice bonus.
  • I have a box of Girl Scout cookies just chilling (Ha!) in my fridge that I have been resisting. That would be it.
  • I second everyone who is saying head to a running store and get fitted. It’s completely worth it. I still haven’t found a shoe that’s fits me as well as my NewBalance 990s which they helped me find. They also helped me realize I was wearing the wrong sized shoe and it was some of the best time I’ve ever spent buying shoes.
  • Yup. I completely cut out the regular soda because it was so easy for me to drink a bunch in a single day but I like my soda too much to give it up. But diet soda I find has a lot more carbonation, or at least it feels that way as it irritates my stomach. So I am slowly trying to shift away to one or two cans a day only…
  • At 5'9", my goal weight is 170 (which is straddling that line between acceptable and overweight according to every "standard" chart I can find). I'm currently 78 pounds from that goal. Once I get closer, I'll reevaluate and adjust accordingly, likely ending up going a bit lower.
