Wow- @pamiede you look amazing, and I love your new outfit. Congratulations on all the success!!!!!
@BrownSugar174 thanks for the book inspiration, I could use a new book. Maybe we should have a MFP book club, haha.
@Tarzan37 happy birthday! I'm so sorry about the work stress. So many are struggling with that right now. I hope you get info soon.
@svm569 the grocery store is the worst right now! People are so weird and anxious. I don't understand why everybody is buying everything up. Seems unnecessary and is just creating issues. My grocery store was out of so many basics- including perishables. What? Are they freezing milk? Why are people buying more than they could use? I've just been online ordering at my grocery store and then picking everything up. With all the demand, it takes a while for an order to be processed but it's worth it so I don't have to go in there and deal with people.
I haven't been great about logging, but I'm turning that around today. We made the lame decision to cancel our spring break trip to Hawaii. The trip I saved up for... for years. We have a farm and had multiple people lined up to look after our animals while we were gone. I lost a lot of money in nonrefundable things I pre-paid for. We had travel insurance, but what do you know, pandemics aren't covered. It just got to the point with the news cycle over the last 24 hours where we really didn't feel like going anywhere was a good idea. The whole "shelter in place" thing happening.
I can't really complain because I know others have it so much worse right now. I'm trying to see everything as a blessing to spend more time with my family!
After we made the decision to cancel the trip, I woke up feeling much better today. I didn't realize how stressful the whole thing was to me. Back to logging and my mental outlook is more positive. I'm focused on coming up with fun things to do with my kids, since I already planned to have a vacation it's good timing- I'm burning through some vacation time over the next few weeks to just be with my kids and do projects around our farm.
Another bright side thing- without a trip planned to interrupt my routine, I have one less excuse to prevent me from getting to onederland.7 -
Quick question:
Does anyone else have issues with your exercise not syncing on here?
I have Samsung health and it seems that whenever I walk or hike, it doesn't go though.1 -
I am doing much better today. We had hamburgers for lunch with an optional topping of caramelized onions and mushrooms and garlic. I took the option. I would eat caramelized onions with every meal if I could. Dinner tonight was Hunan chicken and rice, with cauliflower rice for my boyfriend who can't do starches after WLS. I got a lot done today in cleaning out a walk-in closet and carrying a lot of boxes downstairs, and we looked over the garage tools and packed a toolbox with the things most likely to be needed in putting things back together when the move happens. I have a toolbox of my own, but it's better to have two.
I have been enjoying some Golden Age detective novels, and there is a series of Regency romance/mysteries that are on Kindle Unlimited that are absolutely delightful. The first one is called "The Widow" and they are by Mary Kingswood. I am hyperlexic, so the average mystery story takes me about thirty minutes. But I enjoy them, even if I eat books like candy.
It feels so good to get things done, and to get in good habits that will make things easier down the line. I am attempting to avoid too much news just now, as it will make me anxious and fussed. I do hope people settle down and let the grocery stores restock by next week. I much prefer to stick to my food schedule and don't want to have to work out meals from what's in the house. That....I did a little much of that when I was desperately poor and it makes me anxious to think about it.
My neurology appointment was cancelled for tomorrow, since it was non-emergency. I am fine with that.
I think I will now have my evening snack while I read about the evolution of the ear in mammals, and then I will go have a bath and go to bed.8 -

Samsung Health is glitchy as heck. MFP has it in their list of bugs, but the problem seems to be on Samsung's end.2 -

Hi everyone, weighing today.
Height: 5'6"
SW: 236.4 (9/8)
2/26: 196.4:
2/29: 195.6
3/4: 195.8
3/11: 196.8
3/18: 189.7
3/25:
3/31:
March goal: 189.9
My non-scale March goals:- Exercise at least 15 min per day, 6 days a week. 3/7 days.
- Water 128 oz. Probably closer to 96 oz on average.
- Intermittent fasting @16/8. 4/7 days.
- Eight hours of actual sleep. 7/7 days, but waking up in the middle of the night with anxiety.
How our world has changed in one week. Last week at this time, we had just returned from our vacation and I was up a pound (but fine with it). I ended my post with "I'm looking forward to now taking control of March!" Control is the last thing I am feeling right now.
I got a stomach virus on Friday that lasted for several days and wiped out my appetite and insides completely. I'm feeling much better now but my appetite has not returned. I have no doubt that last week I was retaining from sodium, alcohol, and TOM but I'm still surprised to be down 7 lbs. I'm glad I'm happy to not be stress eating but also want to keep myself strong and healthy right now.
My husband and I are teleworking now, and school is closed. Officially for two weeks, but I suspect for the school year. I am fine with that; we are lucky to have the option to telework. We've been doing family walks each evening and I am so glad a used exercise bike last year.
I am concerned, though, about my mother (75) who insists on going to the grocery store or Costco each day and went to the dentist on Monday. She thinks I am overreacting by asking her to stay home. I think she is in denial and incredibly stubborn. I have come from a position of panic to resignation over the past few days that I can't stop her and that if she gets sick, I will just need to be strong and love her through it.
Sending hugs out there to everyone. Do your best to be healthy and safe, love one another through, this and reach out to people. And if you are looking for support, feel free to add me as a friend!7 -
SW: 210 (Nov 2019)
3/1: 203 lbs
3/4: 201.2 (-1.8 lbs)
3/11: 200.9 (-2.1 lbs)
3/18: 202.4 (-0.6 lbs)

What a difference a week makes, huh? My entry last week was all chipper thinking about my upcoming vacation (canceled), my planned after 5k run beer at the Shamrock Run (canceled), and the fact that I planned to maintain in the 190s all month once I got there (not happening).
Fast forward a week, my weight is up, in a large part due to stress eating. That has always been how I have handled my stress, unfortunately. I am also telecommuting with my kids around, and they are always hungry so I am always preparing snacks. I took a couple days off of logging, and drank wine three days in a row.
Other March goals:
- Continue exercising 4-5 days a week: I've been faltering a bit here. I exercised 3 times last week.
- Run a 5k: Since my run got canceled, I signed up for a virtual 5k! It's next Saturday the 28th.
- Less Alcohol (more alcohol free days than drinking days): I've had alcohol 6 of 17 days in March so far, so I'm doing alright here.
- Log my food everyday: I've logged my food 5 of the last 7 days, to some degree.
Goals for the rest of this week: practice yoga 5x. Make some goals for personal development to be accomplished over this tough time. STOP READING SO MUCH NEWS!
Big hugs to all here who are struggling.9 -
@aliciap0116, I also have a stubborn mother. She is older and has several health issues that would be horrible if she were to become ill. It’s scary, but I have also resigned myself to the fact that she’s going to do what she wants. Great loss, even if the circumstances weren’t the best for losing it. I hope you’re feeling better.
@shorepine, it’s been a wild week with the way things have progressed. Sending you hugs.
My gym has closed, which I figured, my state is attempting to prevent gatherings larger than 10 people. From that though, I really have lost a lot of motivation. I’ve been slacking on logging and just feeling bleh. My TOM is next week, so I’m assuming that’s playing a role, but I’m hoping to get focused again soon. Hugs to all! Sorry I wasn’t able to answer everyone.7 -
My March goals are FUBAR mostly. I did manage to increase my fiber, but I haven't dropped so much as a pound (I did, but gained it back) and all of my plans are cancelled. My gym is closed and I just don't have it in me to exercise at home 4 days a week.
It also continues to be cold and grey which isn't helping. Go outside? No thank you, ugh.
On a positive note, I am maintaining at 195 and not going over. I'm not binging too badly either.10 -
Weigh-in Wednesday.
Highest weight: 435 (11/1/18)--lost 50 lbs. by the end of 2018 but got off track and gained back almost 31 lbs.
SW: 415.8 (4/17/19)
2/29: 274.4
3/4: 273.4
3/11: 270.6
3/18: 268.2
3/25:
3/31:
March GW: 265.4
GW: 160 (then reevaluate)
Fitness goals for each week in March:
- exercise bike 5 times per week - 5/5 (Monday's time was cut short because of a weird pain in my leg)
- short walking videos twice a day 5 times per week - 5/5
- strength training 2 times per week - 2/2
- chair yoga 3 times per week - 3/3; added another exercise to my routine
I don't know how my exercise will go this week. The pain in my leg is worse today so we'll see what happens. Plus I have to make 2 trips to my parents this week. I usually don't get much done those days because the travel time makes them long days as it is.
My son continues his bike trip across the country. He plans to enter Alabama today and then be in Florida tomorrow. Things sure have changed in here in the US since he started his trip. It's hard to believe. So far it hasn't impacted him too much other than not being able to dine in at some restaurants. You just don't know what's going to happen next. Hopefully he'll be able to finish and make it back home safely.
I hope you all are well. Virtual hugs to everyone!10 -
67 years old, Height: 5'6"
SW: 266 lbs
3/1: 261.8 lbs
3/15: 260.4
3/17: 260
CW: 259.6
GW: Onderland 1st, maintain for a few weeks then 150 lbs.
March Goal weight get to 255
March Weekly Goals are:
2. Continue to Improve my weekday breakfasts
3. Log weight, food and exercise and eat under calorie goal.
4. Get closer to the mid 250s this means my highs and lows get and stay below 260
5. Get some exercise and up NEAT at least 6 days a week.
6. Make healthy foods at home.
7. Get enough sleep and improve water intake.
8. Check out this thread daily.
Good Morning, I didn’t sleep in quite so long today my second day with my office closed.
@shorepine stores are starting to reserve the 1st hour for seniors or those with underlying conditions. I heard that they got TP and paper towels in but not sure how long they will last. Right now I am taking the opportunity to ge a bit more sleep. I am so sorry about you trip cancellation. You will get to Onderland. I love it - a virtual 5k. Go shorepine!
@nels5850 I have a fitbit versa and it syncs but it is a bit wacky at times. It is hard that my walks are just lumped in as more steps.
@AlexanderFindsHerself I read mostly mysteries especially historical mysteries. A while back I found some Genealogy mystery series and lately read a series where the inspector detective was also an archaeologist and there are a current time and historical time mystery that play off each other. It is set in Devon England. You menu for the day sounds so yummy. You are getting so much done and are so organized.
@alicia0116 I post my weight when I lose and I seem to be slowly losing still. Good progress this week for you. Hope you both recover well. My son was upset with us a few weeks ago when we were still going to work. Our works were cancelling big meetings and taking other precautions but now we are all at home. My 93 year old mother is in a retirement community in Seattle. They have closed the dining room and stopped all the activities and restricted visitors to one a day if they are healthy and essential. No one has tested positive there. They are delivering meals to their apartments. What worries me is she thinks she can substitute hand sanitizer when she should be washing her hands. She puts herself and others at risk that way.
=]]]]][ (a little contribution from one of our kittens). I have gotten rid of the other additions they have made.
I know it isn't much but getting below 260 is a significant achievement to me. It took me 2 years to get close after I got my new job then I started to gain again. Last summer I started to make some progress again and got down to 260.6 in October then started to gain in the holiday season. I have finally surpassed both lows now. But I am determined to keep going down this time. In fact I am finally back to the weight I posted on MFP in December of 2018. I do not post the variations just the lows so it has been on MFP as my weight that long. So once I lose again it will finally change. I guess I had 3 weight goals for March. One was to get below 260 (done). One to get below my check in weight on MFP (close, I am at that weight today so if I lose any more this month I will make it) and then if possible get and stay in the mid 250s. That means my highs need to be lower too. My highs have been getting lower. So I do have some more work to do to make before the end of the month.
Yesterday we went for a walk after dinner. Not long but I am hoping to get to where I can walk for longer with my knee. Basically my exercise goal is similar to @alicia0116 right now. 15 minutes at least 6 days a week but for this week it is 5 since Monday night my office closed and I just had to take a day to digest that. I am drinking water more but lots of room for improvement. Yesterday I had made myself oatmeal, soft boiled egg and coffee. I made my family corned beef and cabbage. It was great. Since I got up late I didn't have lunch but had a snack or 2.

Hi! So nice to see a good support forum. I’ve had the runaround with diets, lifestyle changes etc. I was eating vegan/vegetarian very healthy, but as usual my problem with portion control was halting my weight loss progress. I was actually gaining. Now, I am strict, food journal and stick to a calorie restriction. 1,200-1,300 range. I’ve lost 40.5lbs, the most I’ve ever lost and the most consistency I’ve had.

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok.
Today is normally my weigh in day but I am going to skip for now. I’ll weigh in next week.
Its just been a lot of stress eating and lack or exercise, I feel heavier and sluggish. Its only day 3 (teacher) of not working but as the news says there is no definitive time of return so if this is how life will be for now, I can’t let this get out of control. I feel like I had a week off of counting calories and just being conscience of what I was eating. I’m still here, but struggling. Not giving up though.15 -

It can be tough. I know it’s easier said than done, but hang in there. We all have our ups and downs, but it’s all about consistency. 💪🏼5 -
Welcome to all the new posters...feel free to drop a friend request if I missed you. Not an intentional miss just behind on reading. I know we are all having to adjust and deal with many changes to daily life. Even though it may be inconvenient I can understand how taking these measures are important for the health of us all. Practice safe guards and look for fun indoor activities to do with the family, explore learning new things your interested in, organize/declutter, binge watch (so many things like the met opera etc offering free shows online), or whatever you find pleasure in.
@pamiede You look amazing!! Onederland will be here before you know it.
@Tarzan37 Happy belated Birthday! Definitely one to remember. I hope your sister's test results are good.
@svm569 Congrats on your loss. I hate how people are being all judgmental about other's shopping carts. Sure some may be over hoarding but others may have large families or buying for compromised individuals etc. I'm not into cart shaming.
@torihudson6 Have you checked youtube for kickboxing workouts? I'm sure you can find something to take the place that you will enjoy. I address stubborn momma's to alicia (down post) and I hope your momma decided to take precautions also as the situation is ever changing. hugs
@CupcakeCrusoe I'm struggling with mindless munchies and have to keep checking myself when standing in the kitchen looking around. You're hash sounds yummy.
@TuesdayLucero Congrats on your loss.
@Terytha I think many of us are wondering what to do in regards to calories while feeling so stressed. Some days I've been right at the line of max and over one (I think just one). Do what feels right for you each day.
@KeriA Nice loss and congrats on reaching your achievement goal of getting below 260. You will be reaching the other ones soon. Way to take the positive look at breakfast improvement. You are doing great with monthly goals. I'm sorry you hurt your knee and that you won't be able to do aquafit. Can you look into seated exercise videos so your knee won't be involved? I know I've seen a NEAT thread just don't remember which forum section.
@vegasgirl0825 WTG...congrats on hitting 10% loss!! Our produce is still holding but I need chicken. Hubby is going by WM tonight and I'm crossing my fingers. I thought I had a good bit but didn't really add up how much I eat weekly. I don't think the supply chain will break down and if it does I have higher calorie stuff. In that case maintenance will come into play for sure.
@shorepine I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip and lost out on money in the process. I think it is awful how travel insurance isn't covering this. I'm glad you've been able to switch the disappointment to a positive and look for ways to staycation with the family. I've seen many places like zoos, aquariums, etc during virtual tours that you may like to do with them.
@aliciap0116 I understand the stress of worrying about your momma. Hopefully she is at least taking precautions while being out and when returning home. Momma was like that at first but we finally convinced her how much less worry there would be if she stayed home. Maybe your momma will come to that conclusion also as things evolve and businesses/drs take a more cautious approach. I hope your appetite is back to normal soon..need to keep your strength up and body properly fueled during this stress.
@MuttiNM Congrats on your loss. I hope your leg is better soon just be careful and don't aggravate the pain. Welcoming your son to Bama!
@sharpdust Right there with you sister. Just a blah struggling week. Zero exercise, standing in the kitchen not even hungry and wanting food. We are strong and will make it through!!
Soo my update is like everyone else's. Feeling stressed and trying to stay on track. I've been completely off the exercise train and I know it isn't necessary. It does make me feel better when I'm done but just trying to muster up the energy to walk down the hall or pull out my weights is evading me. I guess times like this is when taking time to explore the whys come into play. On top of the regular stress our weather system has been rain after rain system. It's like living in Tacoma again @KeriA lol. I may need to grow my web feet back. My body feels bloated and dragging so not looking forward to Friday's weigh in.
Hoping we can all find ways to cope and stay positive while facing all the daily changes to our "normal" lives. Hugs all around and strength to those who are in need.

I'm actually worried about our ability to get food. We need groceries and all the stores are empty. -_-9
-
Welp.
I got permission to telework today. Got home...equipment's not working. Hopefully I get it fixed tomorrow and not have to worry about it not working anymore.
I've read all your posts, and i'm sending virtual hugs. I'm on my phone, and tagging is hard.
I kept calories under today, mostly because of excitement of finally, finally being able to telework after saying I wanted to for a week. I made a tofu stir fry that turned out pretty tasty.
Stay safe and well, everyone.10 -
I just want to say my heart goes out to all of you who are struggling. I am with you in that struggle. It seems almost selfish to be even thinking about weight loss at a time like this. And yet I do.
These days I count myself lucky because I am well, still have a job, and not out of TP or food. A few friends have gotten sick. They don't know if it's Corona - testing isn't available yet for those with symptoms but no known exposure to the virus - which is crazy because since no one can test, how could they know whether they were exposed or not?
My gym closed. All races on my calendar are cancelled or rescheduled for the next several months. My "Learn to Row" class is cancelled. My Half Marathon training group is suspended for now, so we are doing "independent study" for now and can post our runs on our private facebook group.
I'm still going to the office, but only two of us have been coming in. Everyone else is working from home. My husband, a teacher will be teaching online only at least through April. I think I already mentioned that my daughter had to move out of the dorm and will be studying online from home. Everyone is tense and sad and worried and disappointed. My husband especially. He has developed a certain pedagogy of teaching over many years and really developed and honed his craft. Suddenly every thing he knows to do as a teacher is upended. He has never taught an online class. He is completely out of his element and feels for the first time in a long time completely unqualified. I think we've all felt like that when we start a new job, but he's been at the same school for 21 years, so I think he forgot what it feels like to be a rookie.
I guess the thing that we have to constantly remind ourselves is that every single one of us is just making it up as we go along. We are unprepared. We are making all kinds of mistakes. We are being inconvenienced. We are being disappointed and disappointing others. We are scared. We are worried. We are all experiencing loss. And so we must be forgiving. Of each other. Of ourselves. And we must be kind to each other and to ourselves.9 -
Update: I got to Costco during a restock, so now I have enough dinners to last about a month. It's only questionable whether we'll be able to get expirable staples like milk and eggs, but we can live without them.
So that's one worry off my plate!11 -
With all this crazy going on I have fell off the wagon big time.
BUT it’s okay. I’m not beating myself up over it. I got this. I CAN do it.
I weighed in this morning just to see where I was at and I’m back at 206.8.
My gym has closed as well but they are posting free workouts on Facebook to do at home so I will try to be doing that. With 3 kids, working out at home gets a little challenging.
I have been getting migraines a lot lately and the only thing that helps is MT. Dew. I had to cut out caffeine and carbonated drinks months ago due to horrible horrible acid reflux.
During this difficult and scary time we got this ladies!
Much love to everyone. 🖤
*Feel feel to send friend to requests (I would but I haven’t figured out how to do it yet 😂) to keep my butt I’m gear!5 -
So I haven't been feeling the best and with everything shutting down except for my job (which I am still grateful to be receiving my paycheck, believe me about that) I was just feeling super blah. I've also been sick the last couple of days and this pounding headache is just not leaving me alone along with a bunch of other things. My scale has also been ticking upwards the last couple of days as well which has just made the headache worse, but bless my period tracker telling me I'm due in less than a week. I always bloat up in the days before and the beginning days so I'm trying to let that go right now. It still bears watching however. Bloating is one thing, but weight creep is another.
I'm also trying to pick out one or two pieces of gear for home workouts to help me out. While preliminary everything is only closed until the end of the month or the middle of next month, it's entirely possible that they will extend for several weeks yet. With my focus on upper body, I do need some sort of dumbbells and mine are just getting a bit too light to be super useful right now, so I'm doing some light research on different brands. I think I know which one I'm going to get, now the only question is, is if I want to spend all that money right now.4 -
@WynterDreaming Our child called me last night saying “momma, I’m so glad I’m not there with grandma right now..I wouldn’t want to harm her in any way”. We both cried..and with that..my hubby and I will not be going to the gym anymore. I found this information on body weight exercises we are gonna start to do along with our walks/bike rides.

It is amazing how just being at home and eating clean can change your whole world around. Loving the dance parties at home with DD (darling Daughter) My husband has been working from home for 2 years and we home school so nothing in my world has changes too much. But we are working out together since my husband's work out group is cancelled for the time being. In my daughter's science unit she is studying nutrition, so everything is becoming a family project. Not matter always look at the positive.8

Hi everyone! With everything in the world so topsy turvy, I feel determined to control the only thing I can, by eating healthy and exercising! Today I sneezed in public and felt awful about it! (I suffer from allergies so sneezing is normal for me and the pollen count is high at the moment!) I've washed my hands so many times they are dry and burning! My mom is elderly and living in an old age complex and they have asked us to stop visiting, very difficult because she is still recovering from a broken hip, and I've been doing her shopping etc!9

@sharpdust Hang in there. I had a good 1st day of this and yesterday started okay but bogged down. I am hoping to turn it around today.
@bluffgirl67 Guess what! We are having beautiful weather here in the Pacific Northwest. We need something to help the otherwise gloomy picture. Nice to see your post today.
@Terytha Oh no. We couldn’t get frozen spinach yesterday. I love spinach. But we got everything else. Glad to see the update. I am grateful for those working at the stores now.
@CupcakeCrusoe I am glad you will be working at home. It is ironic I got everything set up for doing that and we shut down completely. I now have a second large screen just for reading email and posting on MFP. I guess it was nice for the movie I watched last night.
@speyerj Your post brought up a few stories for me I will impart below. I think that it is hard but the way the world is going it will be good in the end for your husband to develop these new online teaching skills. I know that my daughter doesn’t learn as well online as she does in class. She will start her last quarter of classes this spring. She has just Capstone (Senior project or practicum) to go after that.
@ericak6722 Sorry to hear about your migraines. To friend request click on someone’s name under their picture. A window will pop up. Then click on their name in blue next to their picture and it takes you to their profile. There is a big green button next to their picture that says Add As Friend. Click that to add them. I sent a request. It is probably harder to do on a phone though. What a nice picture you have.
Here are 2 stories from working at home that @speyerj brought to mind. The 1st and only day I worked from home I logged into my work email and my coworker had sent an email that the office was so quiet. She was the only one there. One coworker was sick and his daughter was sick too. Others were working in the field then from home. My boss was working at home for just that day. Another co-worker who was over 60 was also working then at home. I thought it probably was as safe for her in the office as it was for us.
The other story was the day after the office shut down. We had a text on the storm line and an official email late in the afternoon the day before. I am not sure why but I decided to check email at work even though it was the 1st day of the shut down. Another co-worker was there sending out an e-mail asking where everyone was. His supervisor fortunately saw it and told him to go home. He had missed 3 separate notices about the shut down.
These are weird times. Yesterday wasn't as good as the day before for me. It started it off well but I lost direction mid stream. What I did do was I had decided to look up a word document I had worked on years ago for an at home weight training and exercise plan. I found it and tweeked it for now. I added some weight training exercises and found pictures to remind me how to do them right. I added stretches. One of the things I like about Aquafit is that stretching is better in the pool. I even found exercises and stretches you can do on your bed. I didn't do any cooking cleaning or exercise yesterday though. We had leftovers so that was fine. I need to schedule my days and follow it. I know I started to do that but I also needed some down time to process all the changes and I need to think about my priorities for this time. There is a lot I could do but what is the most important focus for this time besides keeping my family and others safe? It isn't like it is a vacation. If I had figured it all out yesterday I don't think it would have bothered me that I hadn't done those other things.
I will let you know if I figure it all out today.6 -
I think we may have a house. That is, if it passes the home inspector. Not falling in love with it yet just in case. I'm feeling very grumpy with everyone and everything. I'm not letting it out, but I'm feeling it all the same. I miss the gym a lot.11

I found a way for my workouts to sync. You need another app 🤦♀️ it's the under armor map my walk app. I sncyed it with both Samsung health and MFP. It's a little bit of a hassle, but it worked!5

Sodium: lol, nope
Protein: not as much this week as I'd like.
Fitness goals: lift more than 3x this month (lol) ▌▌_ _
Running: let's go for 25 miles. It's not about the distance, it's about the form. Get the form right.

I have been kind of estimating calories quite a few times this week, so I'm happy with this loss.
Time to continue teleworking. Tonight is Movie Night, with pizza and popcorn. My four year old is very excited. Stay safe and well, everyone.9 -
💜Hi, ladies!
I know things are super stressful and scary everywhere right now and places are closing and supplies may be scarce.
Here in Korea, we're coming up to Week 5 of corona virus. Schools are still closed and will probably be for another week. Lots of people are still telecommuting. But people are starting to go out again and gyms and movie theaters have reopened.
If I can share anything about this thing, it's to be calm and make smart decisions. Don't go out if you don't have to, avoid large groups (and small ones) whenever possible, and wash your hands All The Time (regular soap is fine).
My eating habits and exercise routines have NOT stood up most days to the social isolation and stress. And you know what, that's okay. Don't beat yourself up about the next couple of months. Get through it as best you can. If working out at home is how you cope, do it! If you need to binge watch a couple series a week on Netflix, do it! If you can find that balance, great. If you can't, that is 100% okay, too.Our goal this month and next is to stay safe and sane. We can do this.
