I think it would be hard in the long run to travel without eating properly. I would suggest looking at the online menus for restaurants like McDonald’s that you can expect to find where you go and find some menu items that fit within your calories and macros. Chicken nuggets, a side salad?

Your actual weight loss could be masked by a temporary water weight gain if you are close to ovulation or your time of month. I always gain a few water weight pounds at those times, and it looks as if the weight stands still (or goes up!), but it all comes off in the end. If you are new to weighing yourself every day, you…

Most of it is probably water weight

Another new runner here! I'm taking a couch to 5k class, and it's fun to run with a group! I also practice with the app on my own. OP, I've sent you a friend request. I'm 48 and have NEVER run before, so if I can do this, you definitely can!

There is no need to cut down on carbs or avoid dairy like the poster above suggests. Just enter everything you eat on this app and try to stay within your daily calories. If you do ( and if you weigh your food accurately) you will lose weight.

It is normal to feel colder when eating at a deficit. Drink hot tea!
-
A lot of what you ate and drank is probably still in your system at the end of the day. Just weigh yourself at the same time every day, for example first thing in the morning, and use that as your reference point to track your weight loss.

Bananas might help since the potassium helps the body's fluid balance.

I love the weight watchers caramel swirl ice cream bars. 80 calories and for me much more filling than candy. The triple chocolate ones are very good too, also 80 calories.

I'm 48, 5'3 and currently down to 151 from 203. I'd love to see my weight go down to the 130s. I've sent you a friend request.

Any walking is beneficial. But most of the difference on the scale will come from weighing and logging your food and staying within your calorie goal.
-
Feel free to add me, anyone! I've lost 50 pounds and have about 25-30 left to go.
-
Did you enter your weight, height, age, gender etc. into this app? How many calories did it give you per day? I'm sure it was a lot more than 1300, and you are probably feeling unwell from undereating.

Almond butter tastes great. You can eat it with apple slices. As others have mentioned, rice and quinoa might work well for you. Try looking up fried rice recipes on Pinterest - there are lots of yummy ones! Chicken or beef stir-fried with veggies can also be good.

Drink a couple of glasses of prune juice. If that doesn't help, see a doctor.

I usually stick to 1200 calories a day, and I eat bread, eggs, beef, chicken, ham, fruit, vegetables, yoghurt and even ice cream. You can check out my diary if you want- it should be open.

Measuring and weighing your food correctly is essential for knowing how many calories you actually consume. But if you are correct about your calorie intake, it's possible that your weight gain is just temporary water weight, especially if you have just begun a new exercise program. That could easily cause you to retain a…

Give it time. I have lost 50 pounds, and I have about 25 more to go. My belly went from way too big to frighteningly droopy with lots of loose skin, but then it started to shrink, and it's still shrinking. I don't know if it will all go away, but I see progress every day!

What the poster above said. There are no magic foods for weight loss. Enter your stats into this app and get a daily calorie goal. Then measure and weigh your food and track your calories. You will lose weight that way.
-
That was very interesting! Crossing my fingers that it's accurate and that I will reach my goal weight on March 15!

Friend request sent! Welcome the the app!

Joining this app is a great first step! You can do it! Friend request sent.

I am a morning exerciser myself, and I do find that very few things interfere with my early morning schedule. Habit is key I think. Going to the gym in the morning is hard for the first few weeks, but after that you just rollout of bed and don't think about it. I used to go to the gym/ride my exercise bike at 5 am, but now…

How tall are you? Do you actually need to lose weight?
-
I only estimate at parties and at restaurants, and then I estimate high. If I'm absolutely starving a few hours later, I know that my estimate was too low and I add an apple and a low-cal yoghurt.
-
I actually found that once I started losing a bit of weight, that in itself made me motivated and reduced my stress. Welcome to MFP! You can do this!
-
Friend request sent! I'm not doing low carb, but I count my calories carefully and find that it works great. Most of my exercise is just walking, but it really helps!
-
Eat a lot of the fresh fish and seafood and walk around as much as you can! Sightseeing burns calories!

Enter your stats into the MFP app /website and eat the number of calories it gives you. Then enter your daily exercise and eat back at least 50% of those calories. 1200 calories a day works great for short middle aged females like myself, but I suspect it would be way to little for someone with your stats. Are you male? If…
