I don't agree with this if you are LC under 15g a day than all that is left for you is protein if you cut out fat, maybe it works for most but not for all. I do agree that fat to much fat isn't the way to go but come really what is the message here?
-
you can do it, we are all rooting for you!
-
I agree some may do well with high protein but after years of atkins Induction phase and failing it doesn't work for me. I don't think fat is the demon, it's all about balance and what works for the individual

when I first started keto my throat was always dry
-
I don't feel as fat as I look, I guess I'm in denial. I took a selfie the other day for the first time and I looked at it and thought *kitten* I have a long way to go! I should have took one 32 pounds ago

sorry most of the times I think things and don't quite convey them into my ramblings, the point of the BG #s is that I don't see any change after 4 months of IF and keto. maybe in another 4 months and another 30 pounds down things will change
-
@ShanBanKrup understandable, that why I said sweet potato it's a low glycemic carbs and it's the first one that came to mind I know there are others that won't kick you out of ketosis if eaten in moderation and you can tolerate slightly higher crabs, worth looking into

I do a 20- 24 hour fast daily. I have pretty much have been doing this all my adult life. wake up not hungry have coffee go to work. don't eat lunch get hungry a round 4 get home at 5 eat. I still managed to gain a crap ton of weight. when I first started keto and I read about IF I thought this is a joke right? I was like…

how much weight do have to lose? do you have any metabolic issues? if the answer to those questions is not much and no than maybe a sweet potato once in awhile won't kill you. The reason I say this being strictly low carb myself is that my mother weighing 105 pounds soaking wet has gone keto with me in solidarity and…

I have a cold smoker on my traeger and the weather has been mild for MI, I think I will give this a try this weekend - the liquid smoke
-
this is good, it worked for me and you can eat a lot of it without blowing your day, though it's full of crap and led me to making my own jello but that's another rabbit hole. or a cup of bouillon also full of crap but will take the edge off and add a lot of sodium

one of the women on my friends list make a faux ceral which consist of hemp hearts, coconut flakes, nuts and unsweetened almond milk. I've made it it's very good

my oven broke a couple 3 - 4 years ago, I never used it so I didn't replace it. now I use a sous vide, convection/steam toasted oven and my traeger wood pellet grill for all the cooking I do now a days, they seem to get the job done. Now that I cook more I really should replace that oven. you can add me if you want
-
good job, it will get easier as you go

31.8 pound as of this morning I'm 3 days shy of 4 months. I started and am still doing stricted low carb and then added a daily intermittent fast of 16 - 24 hours depending how I feel.
-
oh sous vide pickled eggs, I am doing this today. thanks for the idea

I like to peek at their diaries to get meal ideas, cheer them on when their weight goes down and give them some encouragement if they slip up or pick up some water weight. but not many of the people on my friends list post a lot
-
I eat 1 meal a day most days, espresso for breakfast, Darjeeling tea for lunch. dinner around 4 or 5. sometimes on the weekends I'll eat lunch
-
this is my first go at keto, I've done atkins many many many times in the past and never left the induction phase. I never counted calories just stayed strict low carb or so I thought. Though I did do well with atkins I never reached my ideal weight and eventually would plateau for months which would lead to trying…

I'm not t2d, I'm sure I am IR. I've began testing my BS when I started keto just to see how food affects me. my FBS is always 95- 103. I always have 2 or 3 shots of black espresso for breakfast and nothing else and if I test again before I leave for work about 2 hours after I wake up I find that it has gone up a few…

I perfected my yogurt making technique, I've started making heavy cream yogurt in my sous vide it's very low in carbs 7g per cup but high in calories and fat. I can fit a 1/4 cup a day into my diet and not taking a very big it to any of my macros. It's the little things that make me happy.

I personally find when I eat too much protein I get horrible diarrhea. I added psyllium fiber and more green leafy veggies to my diet it seems to help. everyone is different. I hope your find a balance soon

welcome, cute dog

I started keto the last week of September 2016, decided logging my food intake might be a good idea so I joined MFP a week later so far: I've lost 30 pounds I no longer have pain in my knees I no longer get winded walking across the parking lot to my car in fact I've been using the stairs instead of the elevator at work (…

I never got the keto flu either. keep up the good work you're doing great!

welcome to the group, I don't have any words of wisdom to add I just want to say welcome
-
I haven't thought about it, maybe I'll throw a vacuum sealed roast in a pot of water along with the sous vide device I gifted myself for Christmas tomorrow, it should be perfectly cooked by new years day.
