  • I would definitely recommend going to a specialty store and having them fit you for the proper shoes for your needs. That being said, I've found that I really love Asics (the gel nimbus 16 is my favorite cushioned ride shoe and I've held onto my pair way longer than I normally would) for long runs and Nike Free Run…

  • I eat the same boring stuff super frequently, but I'm a fan of 4oz of lean protein (usually chicken or a black bean burger patty) with 1/2 cup of carb (brown rice or sweet potato are my go-to) and 1 cup of veggies (green beans, cauliflower/brocc mix, steamed veggies, etc.) Usually works out to around 300 cals.
  • Cool, thanks for the input. I just wanted to make sure that what I was doing wasn't harming my body or my ability to keep building on my mileage for runs. I'm training for a half in October but I feel comfortable going fasted for my training runs now. We'll see what I feel like at 11+ :)
  • If you mean that most smartphones have a pedometer built in (because the Fitbit app does not work unless you have a Fitbit device) - I think people prefer the wrist one because not everyone carries their phone in their hand when they walk or run. Your phone also doesn't track your heart rate or sleep cycles. It doesn't…
  • I have a Fitbit Charge 2 (just upgraded from my original charge about 2 months ago) and I also have a Garmin Forerunner 15. I wore both for a long time trying to see which was more accurate. I've found that the Garmin does better for tracking runs but overall I prefer the options on my Fitbit (especially sleep tracking as…
  • Does Polar sync to MFP? I haven't used that, I've only used my Fitbit and my Garmin running watch. If it syncs in, you won't need to eat your cals back as MFP is accounting for those and would show them to you if you needed them. If it doesn't, I would recommend manually adding in your exercise cals. Try eating half back…
  • Ice, 8oz of Malk Pecan Milk (I prefer the maple flavor), 1 scoop chocolate Shakeology. I'm not necessarily buying into all of the Shakeo hype, but I will say that it's my favorite tasting shake I've used and I rarely get sick anymore. It's also cut down the number of migraines I've had (used to be 2x a week at least, now…
  • Added everyone on the thread! Anyone who sees this, feel free to friend me too :]
  • Tried to add you but it didn't work for some reason. Feel free to add me :)
  • Cauliflower & sweet potatoes... however I eat both regularly lol
  • Are you using a heart rate monitor to track cals burned or are you just going by what Beach Body says you burn in workouts? I know for me my burn was typically less than what they say you can burn. This may be part of your weight loss stall, as you might think you're burning more than you actually are. It will also depend…
  • I have previous experience with 21DF. Not all foods fit into containers - cucumbers, for example. 1 half of a cucumber = 1 green container. 10 baby carrots = 1 green container. 3 slices of turkey bacon = 1 red container. These are just ones I know off the top of my head because they're frequent for me, but you get a little…
  • Looking for accountabilibuddies too - feel free to add me!!
  • SW 190 CW 180 GW 130 Down 1.5lbs in the last 10 days. Not used to weekly weigh-ins yet so hopefully this will help me!
  • I've done 21DF and 21DF Extreme and had good success with them in the past, however I did find that the restrictive nature of the program triggered eating disordered behavior that I had engaged in when I was in high school. Now I'm training for a half marathon and I use the 21DF upper & lower fix videos for my strength…
  • Feel free to add me! I average between 10-12k steps per day but I'm working on improving that. I will accept any and all challenges as they keep me motivated even when I don't win them! [edited by mods]
  • http://fps.hasanapp.com/ This is one local to me - you preorder the meals and they deliver them. The meals average around $5-8 depending on what you get. You do have to reheat your own meal. They offer free delivery which is super nice. At the end of the day, it's just so much cheaper to prep my own food. I can make the…
  • Chocolate shakeology mixed with water & ice - 160 cals :) I'm not a huge breakfast person. I usually have a big lunch. (Today was taco soup from the He & She Eats Clean recipe!)
  • I'm running (training for a half in October) and doing the workouts. Some days I feel hungry (usually long run days) so I have an extra red or an extra green, but that's really the only change for me :)
  • Hey there! We have similar stats. I'm somewhere between 5'1" and 5'2" and weigh around 190. I'm looking to lose 60-65lbs over the next year or so. I'm friend requesting you - I hope that's okay! Anyone with similar stats looking for MFP buddies feel free to add me as well
