I really like Missing Maura Murray, and Casefile is another super good one!!

I'm a big true crime fan...Casefile, Sword & Scale, and Missing Maura Murray are a few of my favorites. I listen to them during my workouts and on my commute, some of them are pretty dark but very entertaining.

I had a 2nd term miscarriage a couple years ago, I'm sorry to hear about yours. I gained afterwards, but it went away fairly quickly. My miscarriage required I have emergency surgery because I hemorrhaged, doctor said this sometimes causes the body confusion and you will actually still produce additional blood and retain…

There are some articles on the web about this. Doesn't appear to be backed by any real science, but it's called metabolic adaptation or reverse dieting.

A friend of mine has been using and selling for a few years now. She swears by it, says it helped her lose her baby weight (which was about 50lbs.) She also exclusively nursed and weighs and measures all solid food she eats. Not sure if its the shakes/supplements or her being conscious of how much food she's eating that…

^^Agreed.

Agreed.

Yes, as long as you are within you calorie goal after adding in your exercise calories you'll lose. I try not to eat anymore than like 200 calories over my goal, because I get nervous I won't calculate the exercise calories correctly...even though I use an Apple Watch that monitors it.
-
No, MFP calculates the deficit for you. Eat 1200 a day. If you workout, enter those calories into the app and they will be added to your daily calorie goal. You can either eat these calories or leave them as a deficit. You'll lose more weight eating below your calorie goal, but if you are only at 1200 a day I wouldn't eat…

I purchased one to wear postpartum. Other than making me feel like I was going to vomit from being so damn tight, it did nothing. The Kardashians are liars.

I get all my clothing for work at The Loft Outlet store, they have killer deals and the clothes are great for work, including their jeans!

I drink the GNC Lean 25, there's a little more flavor variety. I drink them in the morning because they are so convenient. I mix them with unsweetened almond milk, super good!

800 calories seems insanely low, but I'm no doctor! Lookup 'metabolic adaptation' and 'reverse dieting.' May offer a little insight.

Open the Apple health app on your phone and select sources at the bottom, MFP will be there. Select the items you want synced with MFP in the next window that opens.

I tried it for the 3 day trial from a friend of mine who is an Independent Distributor. Lost 4lbs of water weight. All came back after I stopped drinking the shakes. I had some pretty awful headaches while on the program, I talked to my doctor and she said it was likely because of the soy protein they use in the formula. I…

I have a meal replacement shake at least once a day. It's convenient for me, I have one for breakfast along with coffee, then a piece of fruit or something an hour or so later. It was tough to get used to at first, but I'm totally adjusted now and love the convenience of them.
-
I never thought of it like that! I work a desk job and have my activity level set to sedentary. I wear an Apple Watch and all my steps and exercise is automatically uploaded to MFP. I think you logic makes sense...curious to see what other posters think.

What's your daily calorie goal and how long have you been sticking to it?
-
Agreed. OP, eat a variety of foods...find out what fills you up. Though tedious, maybe start a food journal and write down what you eat at certain times and maybe jot down how you feel after a few hours. Might help you determine which foods make you feel full.
-
Agreed. My food scale was $11 on amazon and it's great. Can weigh in pounds, ounces and grams. I was surprised at what a portion by weight looks like!
-
Yep. I was at 1350 and I didn't lose an ounce for two weeks, I bumped up my calories to 1500ish and have started losing again.
-
When I started I had a hard time sticking to my calories at work. I work in an office and would snack out of boredom. I still snack, but I bring them in instead of eating out of the cupboards here. I weigh everything and make sure that all my snacks are within my calorie goal for the day, I "budget" my snack calories to…

Love this chart!

You may be overestimating your RMR, I calculated it at 1645. That shouldn't matter though, when you enter your stats into MFP it will calculate it for you. So you shouldn't be counting your RMR as part as your deficit, MFP does it for you when it gives you your daily calories. Absolutely count your exercise calories. Like…

How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

I had a hard time logging my food correctly the first few weeks. A lot of the entries that pop up on your log are user entered and could differ from the food you are actually eating. I took a little time and checked out the nutrition labels on the food i frequently eat and entered them so I know they are correct. I agree…

If you look up your height on a BMI chart, you are actually still within a healthy range (130-160 is optimal for a 5"9 female.) If you want to tighten up a little bit, weight train and do cardio as another poster recommended. 1,000 calories a day seems low to me, especially if you are working out 4-5 days a week.
