You're going to get a ton of advice on this site, some good, some bad, but you should consult with your physician, and do some research beyond simply asking a question on this site. Check medical journals and university studies.

I love Coke, but had some blood sugar alarms and switched to diet and then Coke Zero, but I didn't like them, then I switched to flavored seltzer water. Now if I go back to drink Coke it's far too sweet.

I would hold at the same weight for a week to ten days without changing my diet or exercise routine. You're body is adapting to the changes you've made. You can always try changing up your exercises, perhaps run faster or longer to see if you can jump start your weight loss. Also I would recommend speaking to your…

I was researching "body acclimating to cardio" not a comparison of weight training to cardio, which is now what you're referencing. You cannot make the claim that the human body acclimates quickly to cardio and thus the exercise becomes less effective and then bring out a comparison study which has nothing to do proving…

I've seen this statement a lot, yet I cannot find any research backing up the claim. Most of the time I see the claim linked to a bodybuilding site or connected to weight training. If you do any exercise without making adjustments as you progress, like continuing to run the same pace and distance despite it no longer…

The intensity of your workout determines the amount of calories you burn. Walking fast will burn more calories than walking slow over the same distance and terrain. Naturally if you run that same course you'll burn even more calories. Whether you bike, run, speed walk, swim, or whatever you do, it's how hard you push…

Is that "Batman Bale" or "American Psycho Bale"?

It would be interesting to hear his side of this, but from the sounds of it he's using you to live the life he wants, running, kayaking, playing in the sun while you're working and paying all the bills, including his student loans. Having a mediator might help, but how much time do you want to invest, especially if you're…

Cliff Bars, they taste great and have about 220 calories each.

After living alone for the last four years I can safely say I'll never live with anybody again, it's just so much simpler living by myself.

Same here, I simply cannot stand having my feet under the covers.

I want to be able to do thing things I enjoy doing, snow shoeing, biking, hiking, running, etc., without feeling like I'm going to collapse after a mile or two.

I have a Bedside Table Kangaroo just like your avatar.

I lived in Pompano for a few years, it does get hot down there for sure. The sweets are difficult, since I've never had that craving I have no alternatives to suggest beyond cut back, which I know isn't much help at all because it's such a strong craving.

It's all diet and exercise. Go for a walk, jog, or run every day. If you truly enjoy eating fast food don't cut it out entirely, but have it as a treat for yourself. Pay attention to what you're doing and what you're eating.

Would love to, but don't drink coffee. I read caffeine gives you migraines, causes seizures, interrupts sleep patterns, and has been linked to early onset dementia by some guy on the corner of 52nd and Broadway.

My excuse was I'm happy being fat and lazy.

Play around with your workouts and changing things up until you find what works for you.
-
It's a common claim, but I've not read any evidence supporting it in medical journals or clinical studies.

Socrates or Aristotle might help...all joking aside with autocorrect...it's only been 3 weeks, and you're doing resistance so you're likely losing fat and gaining muscle. How do your clothes fit? Have you noticed changes in your muscles over the last 3 weeks?

I knew a guy who had his neck broken by a flying Elvis.

Ohhhh, I haven't been to a Ponderosa in years, cheeseburger and steak fries...yum.

I know the reason why I gained so much weight, and I think you also know the reason why you gained the weight back.

Saggy skin can be caused by rapid weight loss because skin cannot respond and tighten as quickly as the fat is being lost, however skin can recover over time, but it can take up to two years. It's not that losing weight slowly gives the skin more elasticity, it merely gives skin time to adjust to a smaller amount of body…

You can eat whatever you want, as long as you're consuming fewer calories than you're burning, and still lose weight. I still eat nacho chips and potato chips because I like them, but I don't eat the entire bag anymore. One serving with a sandwich or as a snack and that's it, and I make sure my calorie goal is still met…

I'm in a similar situation with my Dad. He likes to go out for dinner when I visit him. My solution is to go out to dinner with him and accept the excess calories on those days. Also while I'm staying at his house, he lives a few hundred miles away from me, I push myself more during my runs to help make up for the extra…

The choice on how aggressive to go regarding your diet and exercise regime is entirely your choice. Do you have the motivation, willpower, and stamina to maintain a 1,400 daily calorie goal? My personal choice was to go very aggressively while under my doctor's supervision. Is it possible for you to see an MD who…
