  • It's always daunting starting back ! We can do this !
  • That's the attitude I need ! This will be the time I'll stick to it, lose the weight and maintain it. It's the maintaining bit that always catches me 🙈
  • So sorry to hear about your loss. You're obviously good at this if you lost 4 stone before , so try to do what you did then. Best of luck .
  • 5 pounds is a great loss. You're well on your way !
  • Hi! Yes, this covid thing has us all stressed and a bit freaked out, which has lead to a lot of over eating. Good on you for logging everything . We can do this ! I think I deleted your friend request by accident ! I'm not too familiar with the forum boards or even how to add friends . Could u request me again? Thanks and…
  • Does the daily weigh in motivate you ? I've never done daily weigh in because I thought I'd see bigger results if I weigh weekly ? I'd be afraid I'd get demotivated if I wasn't seeing results ? I'm just curious as I'm thinking of trying it . Thank you.
  • Ah welcome back ! It's so easy to go off track and then finding the motivation to get back on it is so difficult. You've taken the first step. That was some weight loss previously, well done ! You know you can do it cos you did it before , and this time you haven't as much to lose . The best of luck , you can do this !
  • My daughters confirmation. Need to buy address but want to drop a size. I have until April. Realistic enough goal I think .
  • Ask your surgeon and physio. A healthy diet would be a very good start and drink plenty of water. I'd imagine walking would be good exercise for you and maybe swimming , but again, if I were you, I would not do anything without the approval of my physio and surgeon.
  • Thanks for the welcome. Love reading all the posts . Just for today - I have stayed within my calorie count. - drank 2 litres of water. - no rubbish eaten - but no exercise....tomorrow I'll do that !
  • Lol @aubyshortcake, I just bought a battery for my scales today too !
  • Hi, can I join please? I'm starting today. Sick of fad diets and sick of feeling bloated and having no energy on my current diet of eat anything I want , when I want :# My just for today goals are: -Drink 2 litres of water -Have a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. -Track everything . -Choose healthy snack ( not crisps…
  • Don't give up. You probably need to eat more of your exercise calories back. Then the cravings should be less. You're probably hungry .
  • Thanks.....in the past I've relied on will power alone and I always went off track as will power fades. This time around, I'm more focused, I've a realistic target and I want it to be a lifestyle rather than a diet..... I have more personal reasons to succeed this time also. I hope I'm succeeding Cos I found it easier to…
  • I've never tried 1200 calories/ day cos I know I couldn't do it. I'd be miserable and cranky and hungry all the time. I'm set at 1,500 kcal/ day and I eat back half my exercise calories too. I can do that. I'm nearly at my goal weight now....with a few fluctuations !! But it came off slowly and steady and I feel I can…
  • I " screwed up" today also. Was at a competition with my son and it over ran, we were all hungry so headed to nearest chipper. I had deep fried chicken goujons and chips..( can't even guess the calories :# )..absolutely delicious but obviously not healthy. I'm drinking water like crazy from The thirst it's given me and I…
  • I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia back in Feb. I know a lot of articles say that tomato and tomato based foods are bad for this. However, I can tolerate them no bother. I found giving up white bread, caffeine, crisps and minimizing processed foods have made a huge difference to me . Everyone is different . I can't…
  • I'm trying to lose my last 4 pounds. I lose a pound, then gain 3...then lose 2 and gain 1....this has been going on a month or more. I still have 4 pounds to lose... I'm not sure if it's water fluctuation, hormonal, fat or what ! It's terribly annoying but I'm determined to get there !
  • Chocolate ! Always have to have a little bit with my cuppa after dinner.
  • For me clean eating is eating as little processed food as possible and very little added sugar. It looks like it means different things to different people though. It might depend on where your starting from. For me, I had a very high processed, high sugar diet, so reducing these significantly is clean eating for me. Good…
  • The first place I lose weight is my chest. This isn't good for me cos I'm only an A cup anyway :'( . ...I always have to have padded bras and it worse since I've had kids. It seems we can't control where the weight falls off of ! ... you wish it was your boobs...I wish it was my hips. Doesn't seem fair.
  • I've actually noticed this. My tummy and thighs are smaller but definitely jigglier ! ...not liking it either tbh..... I do a lot of walking but thinking of taking up some classes like zumba or aerobics to help tone. I'm 44, that probably doesn't help.... I won't spring back to shape as I used to. I'd like a bit more…
  • I've has an Apple, banana, stir fry veg , strawberries and a bowl of salad with leaves, tomato, cucumber and onion. I think that hits my 5 a day. I try to get more in most days but that's today's list.
  • True..... it felt like a major treat....so even better ....thanks :)
  • Yeah.... it's bed time now nearly, so I'm back on track ! ...lol! ... it was fun and delicious....I think the chocolate was the major pitfall ! I allow for treats alright but this was more than my usual....but def worth it ! Thanks .
  • Following with interest ;) ... the first place I lose weight is my chest.... not nice ...wish it was my tummy or thighs . .. now, I wouldn't complain about that!
  • I find allowing a daily treat treat...about 100-150 kcal... helps me, as I don't feel deprived then ;) ...its all about balance for me. If I feel deprived, that's when I cave in and eat all around me, therefore this works for me . Best of luck!
