I've been doing weight watchers for 3 mths and have lost 14 lbs. I started this app the other day. Not sure if I like the calorie count vs points. Anyone else switched from one app to another?
Also is there a way for me to log my steps in manually? I've seen several discussions with a recent issue for apps to sync.

I used to do a points system. It did take time to get used to.MFP and calorie logging but I find, I now have more control over what I eat, when I eat and seem more aware of the content of the food.
I felt, with my point system ...I was following the herd.... now it's an independent thing and I like that !
WW has obviously worked well for u but I find having the freedom to eat what I want/ when I want, within my calorie deficit allowance, more liberating and allows for more spontaneity.
I automatically make healthier choices ....as I don't want to waste too many calories on poor food choices. ...
Good luck.... I'm hoping this will last for me too.

I have done SW for years and years, and feel so stale with it. I feel the same as Tq43 in that this will allow me to eat what I like but want to make healthier choices.

Thank you both @Tq43 and @Rachael7671! I really do like the ability to eat a variety of foods. Weight watchers I feel it is much more strict. Although with being restricted to a point system that made me aware of my choices and portions to where now I can hopefully do it on my own with this app. I did feel like on ww I sometimes wasn't eating enough because I used all of my points, but with this app I have more room to eat and not feel like I didn't have enough.
Just curious what calorie intake are you guys doing? I've adjusted mine from what the app originally assigned me. I thought it was too much.

I'm more in a maintenance phase now, but when I first started, I soon added a couple of hundred points to what MFP gave me to lose 1 lb a week because it seemed too low, and I still lost 2 lbs a week.

Use the app as it's intended, and adjust based on results. Lots of people have been convinced by the diet industry that they have to 1200 calories or less to be able to lose weight, and except for petite, near-convalescent, elderly persons who have lost most of their muscle mass, it really isn't true. (OK, I may be exaggerating slightly, but it really is pretty far out the long tail of the distribution curve to need so few calories, assuming you are logging accurately.)

    I'm set at 1,510 calories a day....that's set at losing 1 pound a week.
    I couldn't do 1,200 a day... I know I'd be too hungry.
I also eat back some exercise calories and I'm losing on average 1-2 pounds per week...some weeks I've lost .5 and one week I gained 1.5.... but over all I've been losing ....I think it sometimes depends on TOM.
Slow and steady wins the race !
    Best of luck
