Always looking for more interactive geeky, gaming, nerdy and/or bookish friends :) Got back on the wagon recently and lost 17 lbs so far, but would love to expand my support network even further. I game mostly on PC these days, from Skyrim to Civ to WoW. Am a forever DM in D&D and have been trying to get back to reading.…

It’s been a minute since I’ve been here - the drifting in and out has been real since the pandemic. 40yr old geeky gamer here, from retro consoles to PC gaming to D&D. Love everything sci-fi fantasy from Star Wars to Harry Potter. 80’s sci-fi/fantasy is especially my jam. Always looking for more friends to support each…

The guilt and shame for being a serial starter is always real when I start from square one again, usually at least a few pounds heavier than the last time. On the other hand, thank goodness for this thread. I appreciate normalizing and acknowledging the struggle to stay on the windy, wobbly track.

Hey all, 39 yr old geeky gaming gal here, looking for more active friends. Feel free to add me!

Back after COVID depression/slump, break-up and ready for a glow up! Looking for more active and geeky friends to encourage each other :)
-
You're welcome to add me as well. Getting more active on here again, tend to check in daily with my friends list :)
-
Feel free to add! Always happy to have active friends on my feed. Getting back to checking in daily and being more active on here myself

Starting over after another long hiatus, would love to make some more friends as I get back on the wagon. Am a geeky gamer gal, D&D noob enthusiast and often awkward but friendly introvert. Plan to be active on my friends feed and check in daily. Feel free to add

Evening! Nearly 40 here. Geeky gamer gal and D&D player. Beginning my journey again for the last time, would love to connect and make some more friends. Feel free to add

Geeky gamer gal here, trying to get back to being active and logging daily - hoping for more active friends (fellow gamers a plus!)

Anyone wanting to have a geeky gamer gal foodie who's active on their friend-feed feel free to add me. Can never have enough friends

One more day till the weekend and I can't wait. Plan to sleep in, cook the bf and his friend a tasty meal, and try to get my steps in even on Sat/Sun. As for today, hoping it's a low-key one at work so I can relax ;)

Blew every single one. Went to bed after 2am, ate not just over 100 cals of my goal but 500 cals over maintenance. Darn you post-loss self-destruction! *shakes fist* So. New day, same goals. Persistence will get me there eventually. When I can do these things, I can do more

Completely agree - I have a tendency to jump in head first, inner fire ablazing only to belly flop hard and get discouraged lol
-
Anyone looking for more friends, add me! Geeky gamer gal here, check my friends feed daily and am trying to stay more active and involved in the community to help me stay focused. I have an open diary to all, for accountability, curiosity and fellow foodies. Like minded people always welcome :)

Mostly as a prequel to this journey but -- I quit smoking. As someone who smoked since they were 12, this has got to be one of the biggest victories. Now I'll have actual lung capacity to do cardio, as opposed to shredding what little I had haha
-
Just for today: * No late night snacking * Stay within 100 cal of my daily goal * Get into bed by 11pm Starting small!
-
Alright, let's see if being publicly accountable will help me battle the late night munchies: Me: 0 LNS: 2

@dustyspal Hehe tysm, goodness knows it's gonna take everything I've got to get where I wanna go. 100lbs is no joke o.o

Started to look for threads re: adding friends when I found this one. Wow that title, it's me all over lol Began this journey 100 times with the fire of a thousand suns, only to get thrown into the car wash of life. And once again taking care of everything else mattered more than taking care of myself. Except that never…

Evening all, geek gal in her late 30's hoping to find some active friends to cheer each other on

Serial starter checking in. I've seen this thread over the years but I'm not sure I ever posted in it. Was recently 'scared straight' by worrying high blood pressure symptoms, so am jumping right into a 180* lifestyle overhaul while I wait for my Dr. appt to come up. Probably my most dramatic beginning on this journey, but…

I feel you re: dealing with emotional issues along the journey. As a serial starter, it was the thing that always surprised me and tripped me up. After a recent (current?) health scare I'm back and determined to take the reins. Plan on checking in often, both on the site and with my friends list. Feel free to add!

@MsArriabella Woohoo! It's encouraging to have more people to check in with. If you liked Dirk Gently, have you checked out Umbrella Academy or Russian Doll? They're similar in that they're 'sci-fi or scif-ish' different and original kinds of stories. Love some fun and quirky brain-benders. I used to walk both ways to…

@thou_mayest Done and done! Fellow book, scifi and fantasy nerds are more than welcome :D And I know exactly what you mean by being exhausted of the stop-and-start. Think I finally wore myself out of the bad habit haha @JohnBarth Also a fellow dork. I'm a catch-all of awkward titles. Added! @mbaugh0265 Habitual restarters…
-
@CaffeinatedConfectionist Done and done! I'm starting from square one, so walking to and from work (30 mins each) is my current exercise regime. Hoping to add weights in a few weeks, and am looking at getting a used stationary bike for more intense cardio (I'd like to start running eventually, but the jiggle is too real…

@honeypogle2 Yeah, that's why I ended up making this thread to begin with; to find more people that I could relate to and could hopefully relate to me. Even when people have different backgrounds and goals, having a common thread like geeking out together helps make a lifestyle change a bit more part of my life, you know?…

@isacarvleitao Douglas Adams! Yes, started his books and absolutely fell in love his Hitchhiker's series. You're definitely hobbit-size, I'm probably a bit tall as one haha. I definitely understand the struggle to change habits and lifestyle after a while of not making it a priority for whatever reason. Sending a request…
