my monthly cheat day keeps me going and keeps me sane.

after I had tonsillectomy soft boiled eggs, protein ice cream, and jelly pots were my best friends

it would be about right for me if I've done an hour of intense kickboxing training. but I'm 178cm which I think is about 5' 10". I've done Krav Maga too and I'm pretty sure it will burn less It all depends on intensity....When I used to train in a proper MMA gym where you could meet UFC/Bellator guys on daily basis, it was…

It is interesting and I think it might be true for some people, even though most here will still say it's only about kcal in kcal out and nothing else......

I'd gladly swap with you.....My face is the last place I loose and judging by the face only you'd think I'm 20kg heavier than I actually am. It's just one of those things you can't change so need to learn to accept it and like yourself the way you are

I started about 8-10 weeks ago on doctors orders and I'm feeling much better already:) It was not an easy transition as I was a vegetarian before, but it was worth it. Feel free to add me

I doubt it's insulin resistance (at least not on it's own, as I do feel better keeping carbs between 100-150g), cause I've tried going low carb as vegetarian and it didn't help much. I didnt start feeling better until I reduced dairy drastically, stopped eating Quorn and slowly introduced 100% grass fed meat (btw…

@AnnPT77 fair enough, I guess it all comes back to the fact that different things work for different people:) Just out of pure curiosity, what's your kcal goal? I used to find it very hard to go over 100 and keep it within 1300-1400 kcal range

I was originally referred by my GP who suspected PCOS and hypothyroidism, which endocrinologist then said I don't have. He said my symptoms might be caused by chronic inflammation and advised changing the diet (limiting dairy, legumes, any processed foods including soy products like Quorn, and refined grains to minimum…

It might be easy if you're not watching macros. Personally I don't think it is easy at all if you're trying to hit specific protein target, I was always struggling, for years. I gave up recently not because of the difficulty, but due to some health issues that according to my endocrinologist were caused by increased…

I'm not restarting but started recently as recommended by my Dr. It was extremely hard to make a transition (I was a vegetarian for years), but I'm starting to see and feel benefits

Being a vegetarian is not easy and it's definitely not for everyone. The fact you don't like the veggies makes it even more difficult. How are you feeling in general? Are you well/healthy? Have you had a checkup to see if you're deficient in anything? That might be the case if you're always hungry/craving stuff. What was…

Lack of GPS is not much of an issue, I'm a gym rat and hardly ever workout outside apart from walking to/from work in summertime. Obviously the more data the better - but Fenix is a bit too pricey. I know it's the least important thing while buying a fitness tracker, but I love the way Vivomove looks too - it goes so well…

1) buy in bulk 2) look at your monthly expenses and get rid of anything that's not absolutely necessary 3) Plan your meals for the week 4) Frozen fruit and veggies 5) Sounds like you don't like your job, maybe you could look for something else? Personally I literally live on the spreadsheet during the tough months.... Just…

First, maybe try to reflect on why has this happened? What stressed you out, what was the main trigger? Learning to recognise those makes is so much easier to control....Secondly, don't beat yourself up - it happens to the strongest, treat it as a lesson and a mistake to learn from. Have you tried meditation? It's great…

I don't have instapot, but Tefal 10 in 1 multicooker was one of the best buys I ever made

what's important as well is the quality of the meat you buy. Organic 100% grass fed meat will have a completely different effect on your health than factory farmed, grain fed, hormone and antibiotic packed supermarket meat.

I feel your pain, it's a nightmare when the office is full of cookies and chocolates....What's even worse is co workers who keep asking '' why don''t you have some? go on, have one, it's not going to kill you'' My solution is bringing my own healthy snacks that fit in my goals (mainly fruit/veg).

as ridiculous as it is, it's probably for legal reasons - if they don't do a physical and something goes wrong, you could sue them and they wouldn't have a leg to stand on
-
Isn't that illegal to work more than 5h without taking a break? To be honest, I've been in a similar situation and I decided to change jobs, 3h commute is a killer and used to make me more tired than whole day at work. Any chance you could move closer to work or look for something else?

^This! I always buy Karrimor cause 1)they're high waist, 2) They're good quality and don't rip after a few washes, and 3) they're long enough (believe it or not, finding something that covers your ankles is a challenge when you're 179cm tall lol)

salt caramel and mint chocolate chip are my favourite
-
Any idea why is that? Just curious what's the reason/science behind it
-
scrambled eggs with ketchup and feta cheese in a tortilla wrap:D You can swap feta for bacon. Easy, quick and filling
-
I tried it for a month and it made no difference whatsoever. I stopped because I started having this weird aftertaste constantly all day long, no matter what I did
-
@NovusDies thanks for a constructive answer, much more helpful than all the ''woos''

I've actually never done keto. In the past, when I kept my carbs in 25% - 35% range, I've lost close to 15kg in 3 months. The second time around, keeping carbs at 35% - 45%, I've lost 3 kg in 3 monhts. And the second time I had more weight to loose to begin with, so in theory it should have been easier. It couldn't have…
-
In that case why do I loose much more/faster on macro with lower carbs comparing to the same amount of kcal with higher carbs?
-
just out of curiosity, what are you reasons for going vegan?

you're an inspiration! you look amazing
