I shower/bathe @4x per week. I tend to have dry skin and prefer to not dry it out further. I tend to also not soap my less dirty places unless necessary but am a firm believer in exfoliating. While we're on the topic, I don't use shampoo either. I quit using it over two years ago. My hair has always been thin. My hair is…

I wipe down everything before and after. But there's still the same people who wipe down nothing. 🤯 Wearing a mask has not affected my performance, but there's a lot of people still not wearing them properly.

I would make a chili mac. Just add onions, cilantro, chili, garlic, peppers and anything else you like with a southwest flavor. 💚

I have packs of all sizes and types but the ones I use the most are the smallest. I carry as little as possible on day hikes, more in the winter than summer. Must be light and comfortable and hold water bottles. I personally prefer few pockets and zippered compartments. I guess for me, less is more.

When I'm losing I like to have my own special treats to look forward to which makes it easy to say no to something that may not fit into my plan. It's usually chocolate, fruit or ice cream. Everyone knows if they touch my treat that they will probably lose a hand. 😝

Looks good. I make all of my salsas as well. Tastier and cheaper than store bought.

This is what I made today. Vegan picadillo with beans and rice, tostones and mariquitas. I don't have the recipes written down but wanted to give your question some love.

Today was my first day back in the gym since covid. I ran on the treadmill, with a mask. Thought it would be annoying or harder to breathe but it was fine. What was annoying was the three people without masks. 🤬

I started wfpb over a year ago. While I was already losing weight at that time, the weight loss did become easier. I was able to eat more food than I had before. I had an injury last fall and became sick this year, most likely with covid. I became inactive due to both and gained weight. Even with a wfpb diet calories still…

My family loves it. I'm okay without it.

Yeah I most likely had it. Couldn't get tested. Still suffering with shortness of breath.

This has impacted me quite a bit. I got sick almost one month ago. Ended up in the ER due to shortness of breathe. Couldn't get tested. Was diagnosed with a respiratory virus. Lol. I have passed the isolation period. Generally feeling much better. Tried to walk for a few minutes the other day and ended up short of breath…

I personally don't love the taste of the mock meats. I used to eat them but after I lost my taste for meat I also lost my taste for fake meats. As a plant based eater I do limit my consumption of highly processed foods. I do eat a lot of minimally processed foods such as canned beans, frozen veggies, rice, tofu, etc. I…

Only a banana so far. But I'm gonna make a panini with hummus (or chickpea mash), mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and whatever else sounds good.

I love getting meal ideas from The Happy Pear. (plus they aren't harsh on the eyes)

How many calories are you eating daily and what time do you have dinner?
-
Whichever eating style allows you to generally stay in a deficit will allow you to lose weight.
-
You are down 12 pounds in 18 days and you want to lose weight faster? Btw, eating processed foods does not prevent weight loss and any macro split can be used for weight loss. The key is eating at a deficit.

Mine is usually 45-55. It was in the 70s when I was obese.

Hey veg lovers. Just wanted to tell you guys about a group here called Happy Herbivores. Would love for you all to come check it out. We're trying to revive it and we've got some good posts going. Hope to see you. 🙂

It's all about those calories. Intermittent fasting helps some people achieve a calorie deficit easier. I lost 60 pounds in a variety of eating schedules/diets but the bottom line was adhering to a calorie deficit. Intermittent fasting won't help you lose weight if you are eating at or above maintenance calories. So are…

Yeah a person can gain weight on any diet style. I'm plant based and definitely gained a couple pounds over the holidays. There's a group here called Happy Herbivores if anyone here wants to check it out. I would love to get that group active again. 🙂

I truly understand what you are saying. And I'm certainly not trying to call out all ethical vegans for being passionate regarding their beliefs. I do still stand by my opinion that any step in the "right direction" should be a good thing.

That looks super delicious! Where can I get the recipe?
-
Actually you are so wrong! The lasagna was delicious and tasted like traditional lasagna which was commented by two others who were skeptical.
-
I'd also like to recommend the Happy Herbivores Group here on MFP. 🙂
-
I would like to recommend to anyone who is Vegan or plant-based to join the Happy Herbivores group on MFP.

Last night for New Year's Eve I made vegan nachos. They were so good. Today I am making a vegan lasagna with lots of veggies and a tofu-cashew ricotta. I haven't had a lasagna in close to a year so I'm super excited.
