I was wondering which one people had more success and doable between counting calories, doing like a lazy keto diet or some beachbody program. I’m trying to figure it out and want yalls suggestions

To lose weight you need to be in a deficient ....you don't have to work out to lose weight ....I personally count calories and measure everything that goes into my mouth with a food scale and I either do some kind of DVD or walk 6 days a week ...Don't over think it ...wishing you the very best10

Make this as easy to follow as you can. Doing a fad diet is fine if it works for you, but there's no magic behind any of them. You have to be at a caloric deficit. Walking is a great way to get started. As you become more fit, try adding in new things.8

Those are not different alternatives. They're all things you could do all at the same time, and maybe would need to do all at the same time to succeed . . . but they're also not the only ways to succeed.
If you count calories, log your eating/exercise carefully, and stay within a sensible calorie goal (adjusting based on a few weeks' experience if needed), you'll lose weight, for sure. It can be doable, if you simultaneously pay attention to figuring out how to stay full, happy and energetic, so you can stick to it over the long haul.
Some people find that keto helps avoid cravings, so helps them stay full. If they can stay full enough on keto, that they eat fewer calories than they burn, they may not need to count calories at the same time. But it's also possible to gain weight eating keto, so some people need to count calories alongside keto, or they won't lose weight.
If you do a beachbody program and you don't eat more than currently, but do enough exercise that you burn more than you're eating, you'll lose weight. However, many people find that certain types of exercise make them hungrier, so maybe weight loss wouldn't be automatic. You might still have to count calories, if you want to lose weight. The beachbody program will probably make you fitter (though it's likely not the way to get the very fittest the very fastest), and being fit is a good thing.
If what you want is to lose weight, be fitter, and be healthy, what you need is to:
* Eat slightly fewer calories than you burn, over time, by any method (to lose weight);
* Get reasonable overall nutrition (for health); and
* Get some cardiovascular and strength exercise (to get fitter and be healthy).
Those 3 things will accomplish that. However you do those things: Keto/vegan/paleo/weight watchers/Noom/plain calorie counting/beachbody/other exercise programs/etc., or some combation, you'll lose weight, get fitter, and get healthier.
Personally, I'd suggest calorie counting; gradually remodeling your eating to move it in a more nutritious direction while meeting your calorie goal, with foods you enjoy that keep you feeling full and are practical for you; and doing some kind of exercise you personally find fun. Why? That's simple. Not always easy, but simple.

The only way to lose weight is to take in fewer calories than your body uses.
How you do that (keto, exercise, vegan, Beachbody, Intermittent fasting, whatever) is irrelevant.
Eat less. Create a calorie deficit.5 -

In theory they are all doable, and many do a combination (plenty of people here have done keto while counting cals).
I have strong ideas about nutrition and how I like to eat, so following a meal plan (even one I basically agreed with -- and I don't know if I would agree with a BB one) wouldn't work for me. My sister loves their exercise programs, so would do that part of it, but she's never followed an eating plan (and also never been overweight). I hate that type of exercise so wouldn't enjoy that part (I like running and biking and different types of weight programs, among other things).
I don't know what dirty keto is, but I tried keto for a bit on maintenance (really focused on veg as my source of carbs) and didn't mind it, but it offered me nothing that justified cutting out foods I love or consider important like fruit and beans, but that's me. Would I lose just from going keto? Dunno, but some do, at least for a while (because they eat fewer cals).
Calorie counting allows you to do a BB program or low carb/keto or some other diet of your choice, so I'm a fan, but some dislike counting cals. I think it's an educational thing to do at least for a while, and I'm personally counting at Cronometer currently since I think it's fun to see my nutrient amounts and to see if I can hit everything daily.2 -

Honestly, you lose weight by eating less calories than you burn, but which one is more "doable" just depends on personal preference For instance, I cannot do keto, I need fruits and my vanilla latte in the morning to be happy. But I do count calories and try to stay under my sugar limit each day. Good luck with whatever you choose, you can do it!!5 -

Hi @jenniferkaye22! Perfectly good question.
I'm fairly new around here and have been "lurking" through the forums looking for good advice. Read everything you can by @AnnPT77. This lady KNOWS what she's talking about. (Sorry, @AnnPT77, I guess that makes me your stalker).
Following her advice just since 01/01/2020, I've lost 8 lbs. so far. The group I belong to has a "True Weight" spreadsheet with some complicated computations behind it that winnow out water/waste weight lost from actual fat weight lost, but that still puts me at a 5 lb. loss over 3 weeks. I'll take it - slow and steady wins the race.
I hope this helps and I wish you great luck, however you decide to do it. (Although if you follow the advice in the link above, luck will have nothing to do with it - it WILL work).5 -
Whichever eating style allows you to generally stay in a deficit will allow you to lose weight.1

Think of this as a lifestyle, not a temporary diet. Pick food and exercise you enjoy and are willing to continue. The exercise that works best is the one you're willing to do. Same with food.
As other people have said, you'll lose weight in a calorie deficit.2 -
I’ve probably done every diet in the world and I always lose weight but gain it back. For me those diets aren’t maintainable. The only way for me to keep losing weight is by tracking my calories. So the real question is what can you do long term?2

Weight loss is created through a calorie deficit. Different people have widely different ways they find "easiest" to do this. For many of us, counting calories (without imposing any other dietary rules) is sufficient. Others find that a particular diet style makes it easier. Many people have success with increasing physical activity, although there are those who are also successful without it.1
