Low carbs definitely effects my mood. But so does not enough quality sleep. Just thought I’d mention it in case it would help you. ❤️

It’s going to be difficult to transport enough food with them to fill them up. Ideas: definitely multiple sandwiches including some that are nut butter based, those squeezable nut putter packs put on apple slices or a bananas, 2-4 bananas, cheese and crackers, trail mix, full fat yogurt, homemade bean and cheese burritos.…

Sounds like you are going through a challenging time. Programs are guidelines. You’ve got to find what you can stick with over the long haul. The first bit of advice longtimers will tell you is to weigh and track everything. You may just want to start by tracking what you are currently eating and then cut it back by…

Losing 100 lbs is a major accomplishment. Yeah!! But I completely understand about feeling worn out by colds and Covid. When I feel like crap, it’s hard to get excited about anything. Please take care of yourself. Being at a healthy weight is only one part of good health. ❤️

I love the website https://www.themediterraneandish.com Although it isn’t exclusively vegetarian, she has a huge selection of vegetarian dishes on it. My husband and I LOVE the Easy Greek-Style Eggplant Recipe. Her description: All-star eggplant recipe, prepared Greek style! Eggplants cooked to velvety tender perfection…

Your dedication has paid off. I agree, your smile says everything. It is so hard to “find the time”. I find I have to create a schedule, actually “make time” workouts, menu plan and cook or it may or may not happen. You are an inspiration.

Way to go! Stress and exhaustion are often triggers for me wanting food for comfort. Having the right mindset to prepare myself before the urge hits has really helped me.

Good luck. My husband did it for a few months about a year and a half ago and he felt great. Eventually he added some candy/desserts back in but hasn’t wanted soda at all.

Are you talking about the recipes that the staff posts and show up when you log in? There may be an Indian dish in there occasionally, but you’re right, many of the ingredients won’t be available to you. I would do a google search on low fat or low calorie x where x is the name of the dish you like. Or search for a website…

Way to go! Your story is inspiring. So many people that go through the surgery regain. May you be an inspiration to them all. Your wake up call worked!

The questions @AnnPT77 asked are important ones to help us to make recommendations. Is it texture, flavor, ?? For raw veggies a dip often works to make it more palatable - Ranch, hummus, etc. If I am making a salad, I want everything diced really small so the bites are a mixture of flavor and texture. I have always…

Wow! What a difference. I’m really impressed with your maintenance even if you are not at your goal weight. Keep up your commitment. ❤️

Wow! I can really see a difference from your commitment and consistency! Keep it up! And thank you!

Way to go! The pandemic/lockdown helped change my lifestyle too. Have you gone back to working in your office? Do you have strategies planned for avoiding the stress snacking?

Way to go! I love your attitude. 😀

Way to go!

Having a go to breakfast that I really enjoy. Switching things up may be enticing or less work, but there is something to be said for contentment. And satiety.

I eat some a few times a week to help up my protein intake. I find it to be a satisfying snack because it take a while to chew it and it is salty. As long as I’m balancing it out with low sodium foods the rest of the day, I don’t notice bloating/water retention. I’d rather eat it than most of the protein powders I’ve…

@cmriverside Thank you! I didn’t know that the listing with the largest variety of measurements was the admin entered ones. That is useful info. I always look for entries with weights as measurements not volume and am surprised at how difficult that can be.

Are you finding your is mobility better carrying less weight? Has the pain and inflammation decreased? You are an inspiration. Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do for you and your children. ❤️

Coconut flavored Greek yogurts. I like the ones that aren’t overtly sweet. It started with the Oikos Triple Zero yogurts. They don’t have sugar or artificial sweetness. I can eat the Salted Caramel or Coconut Creme in the evening and it is a filling, rich dessert. And I love the Lemon anytime. Unfortunately these 3 flavors…

Great work. I can see a big difference in your before and current photos. And to get your blood sugar and liver enzymes to normal is a big win. 😀

I’m cracking up reading everyone’s responses. Obviously coffee is a very personal thing with strong opinions. I don’t mind spending 100-150 calories per day on my organic Vanilla Soy milk (the Simple Truth brand from Kroger in their refrigerator section). It makes me happy and has 7 grams of protein per cup. I’ve made it…

I enjoy raw veggies on their own but like dressing on my salads. 😋 Low calorie salad dressings: -Bolthouse brand made with yogurt are in the refrigerated section at the grocery store (30-40 calories for 2 Tbsp.) kinda an acquired taste -Trader Joe’s has refrigerated dressings in their produce section. I bought the Green…

Wow! Way to go.

We went on a road in my car, so I had to clean out the storage space for our luggage. So much unnecessary stuff had accumulated! So I reorganized what I needed into a much smaller space, put some items away, and have items to return to stores and to donate. Making progress inside and outside the house!

I made some progress over the past 2 weekends. The first weekend it was clothes. This weekend it was old jewelry and bits and bops I found in a dresser drawer. I also recycled more papers and magazines. I can see a difference but there is still a lot more to go through. 😀

Last night I went to put on a pair of jeans since it was rainy and cooler out. I found a pair in the closet that I was sure were my son’s. I didn’t know how they got in there. But when I took them out and looked at them more closely, I realized they were mine! I didn’t recognize them because I only wore them a couple of…

You do not have to do Keto to get your blood sugar in check. That is some people’s solution, but not the only way. I agree with the above suggestions. Getting educated through a dietician and/or personal research is a great first step. Additionally, moving more, especially after a meal helps. Even just a 10-15 min walk…
