I'm looking to do the same. So far I maintain my resistance training with hypertrophy, and my proteins are about 0.8 grams per kilogram of bodyweight. So far, i haven't loss muscle nor gained too much. Just maintain what I have which was what my mission is.

Kilograms, so I'm at 185 lbs and if I convert that to kilograms, then that's 83.91 kilograms of my bodyweight. So my calculations for the recommended protein intake is 67 grams of protein per day. /// 0.8 grams of protein x 83.91 of my weight in kg = 67 grams of protein that I need.

I guess the reason I was considering the plant based, is that I had the least of the triggers. I can maybe recall once or twice that my gout triggered during the 2 years as a vegan, and from my journal, it's when I started to go running again. At this point I want to get a good workout in, build muscle, but i'm hesitant…

Not really. I used to run track for years, and Most of my family are track athletes. The sprinting focuses on the type II muscle fibers. Strength training does help but, it's very little compared to the conditioning that they do. Out of all the years I've been running track, weights has very little to the definition of a…

I have a injured writ too, due to falling off the bike. Unfortunately I cannot do push-ups, except when I use push up grip bars, because it's the only way to keep my write from bending. I also use dumbbells with an exercise ball to do chest flys and chest press. Just as long as keep my write straight, it's fine. Another…

One of the best benefits is that you shred body fat like crazy. Best example. Look at track athletes that are sprinters vs marathon runners. You keep your muscle while burning fat, rather than burning fat and muscle. Plus you can burn more calories in a shorter period.

Yup. Loving all their programs I just did 5 weeks of Body Beast (resistance training), now I started on #mbf (muscle burns fat) program. Just ordered some bod ropes on amazon. I wanted to ramp up my cardio and this program is really fun and intense.
-
I lift every other day. Doing a lot of resistance training and using online programs that focuses on hypertrophy and dumbbells. Fee free to add me.

I'm currently doing the Body Beast program. On week 5. But I think i'm going to switch to cardio doing the #mbf program. I just ordered some body ropes on amazon. I also enjoy the 10 rounds program and the Core de Force. I usually rotate between those.

Obesity is still rising. Still not enough personal trainers out there. So it's a growing profession.

I had this for a while when doing resistance training with dumbbells. Yoga especially the child pose helped a lot.

My son and I do the Just Dance 2020. I burned a lot of calories when I had my fitbit on. Definitely a good investment.

I'm a fan of the P90X and Body Beast (if you have dumbbells)... I add in Yoga maybe once or twice a week on my rest days.

Get you a good Door Anchor Stopper and you can do so much more with resistance bands. I got mine from GoFit. For non-anchored, you can do Squats, Lunges, bicep curls, Alternating shoulder press, Upright rows, & squat with side step. If you have an anchor to go into the door, you can do Seated Lat pull Down, Squat Row,…

I am, but I don't market it. Depending on where you get it from it can be really subjective. Unfortunately, mine was with Dr. Eric Berg (Keto Focused), and although the health coach certification sounds great on paper, the aspects of trying to get everyone to a eat a certain way is also very subjective. Honestly, I think…

Welcome back, you can add me as well!. So far i'm seeing progress w/ my body fat dropping. Not doing any special diet either.

I remember Rich Roll. I totally forgot about that one. His audiobook is awesome too!

Update: So I went to go walk, same pace and to duplicate the same walking route. The first time it tracked my pace wrong. My actual pace was 16'47". I went to the Pace Calculator and it shows I was walking 3.59 MPH. So before I used the fit app on my phone to track, which showed up slower, and this time I used my actual…

I think Hammer and Chisel is great. Remember these works are tools to use. So what I do now, I mix them up and create my own calendar but still follow some principals for split days or working different body parts. If I'm limited on weights and I don't feel a burn, I just increase my reps, or increase the amount of sets on…

Unfortunately the WFPB didn't work for me. I followed Neal Barnard and Michael Gregor principals. Also did fruits and raw. My body just didn't agree with me. But glad it's working out for you.

I love watching their channel.

Thank you! :)

It could be, but nevertheless, my dogs enjoyed it, i'm still getting out moving daily, and still burning calories, and still losing weight! So yeah, I still say it's winning in my book.

It didn't feel like it. If you try out 3-4 mph on a treadmill, then this is more like a race for speed walking. 2.18 MPH is a good average range I believe.

Currently doing Body Beast and Yoga!

There's quite a few dumbbell exercises on Beach Body on demand. Lift 4, Hammer and Chisel, A week of Hard labor, also a program called The Work. If you're limited on dumbbells and if they are hard to find at stores, you can increase your reps to work on muscle endurance. Print off the workout sheets from Body Beast and…

According to my Fitbit yesterday, I walked 1.67 miles for 46.19 mins, with an average pace at 27'39" and burned 296 Calories. It's been pretty accurate. The faster the pace, the more calories. There's other factors to take in consideration, but yes, 2hrs you can do some serious burn if you have a good steady pace and heart…

I will never turn down fried plantains! LOL

I'm pretty much the same with you. I did all of them, Although keto I felt the best with mental clarity and the carnivore I felt the best when it comes to gut issues, (i.e. no bloating at all). Now, I'm taking what I've found the best out of all them and keep on the mid to lower carbs (about 80 to 100), and have my snacks…

That's true, many can be dogmatic and leaves no room for error.
