  • Psshht, for the longest time I've had one hand on the back of the wagon being dragged behind. Just have to take each day and not beat yourself up for a day's indiscretion. Actually studies have shown that over the long term that day you overdid won't hurt you. It's the multiple days of overdoing that do it. As I have well…
  • One of my go-to's is avocado egg salad, which the avocado replaces the mayo and many recipes on the interwebz, I will either use romaine lettuce to make a "sandwich" or one slice of toasted bread. With regular bread and a serving of the egg salad it is less than 150, then I may also eat grapes or some veggie straws as a…
  • A nutritionist told my mom to use heavy cream in things you may put milk in and also I would add butter to her meals as I was preparing most of them. She needs to choose the full fat/calorie items that she can. My mom was a bugger to try to get her to eat but then she had a stricture problem.
  • You can rename the meals too in the settings. i just renamed mine first meal, second, third, etc., just to get away from the thought of 3 squares. I found myself feeling guilty for using the snack one. I try to plan the majority of my calories at the end of the day as that is generally when i find myself hungry and it's…
  • I don't think they'll sag more but it is a natural tendency. Gravity and all that. My advice is buy the best bras you can and the most supportive especially since you are heavier chested.
  • I agree with most of this especially the last part about you taking care of him due to his poor choices. I understand where you are coming from. I too am affected by the food that comes into the house. It's easy to say, just ignore the bad food that he chooses but when you are addicted to those types of foods and they are…
  • When I first started losing, I didn't share any of the pounds lost with anyone. I told them it was my lifestyle change and didn't matter how many pounds. Sounds to me like you need to decide how important these people are you surround yourself with if they ridicule you like that. You need to get over that and hold your…
  • B) Fantastic!
  • Not sure if it has been mentioned because I didn't wade through 6 pages, I went through 4 though. So just checking...do you eat McDonalds and then weigh yourself that day to see if you lost weight. The next day you eat salads then weigh yourself to see if you lost weight. Or is this a continuous week of eating McDonalds…
  • I use whole milk in mine and to be honest I don't know how it compares to creamer calorie-wise. Another option is it's not that hard to walk off 30/60 calories. Factor in some extra exercise to compensate or I think you're going to have to cut it out.
  • I don't really have anything to add. The others I think said it all pretty well. I too have problem with bingeing, today for instance. My problem is mostly during the day when I'm working. Suddenly I start looking for a snack. Ugh!
  • I've backslid myself, more than 5 pounds, letting crazy things in life get a hold. As others have said, glad you recognize it before it gets worse than 5 pounds.
  • I just found this. Too late to really join the thread. I have ridden 101 miles so far this month. I am in western and sometimes eastern Iowa. I am getting used to the wind here on the western side of the state. It is hilly which I am used to but I am getting back into the saddle more as I have had a lot of personal issues…
  • I try to focus less on the weight loss, which is hard to do, and focus on eating healthier, logging into the diary, and living more actively. It seems when I look at how much I have to lose it it is easy to lose hope. Living healthier is a lifetime commitment, not a diet. Something most of us here seem to have a lot of…
  • A lot of times you can find what you need on there. Such as if I made corn chowder there are some in there and I might look through them and use what seems right. Sometimes not accurate but YOLO (as my kids say). I try not to go too crazy looking for stuff. I have on the other hand used the recipe builder and it can be…
  • Lots of variety up there. I ended up having my fish and broccoli. I need to go to the store and stock up on some other deliciousness as above.
  • I've been on and off again due to many stressors in my life. However when I started this my mindset was not on how much weight there is to lose but just trying to eat healthier and learning as much as I can about portion sizes. Don't focus so much on the scale and it is just day to day. If you have a bad day, roll on to…
  • Agree with a white fish type, tilapia is another if not mentioned. Try different toppings on the fish. I like a lime and cilantro dressing on mine.
  • I enjoyed the blog. As a 40-some year-old I can relate. Fun playing with boys.
  • Me too!:drinker:
  • We have an elliptical and a recumbent bike. I would like a rower. I have a hard time choosing because I like variety. I guess I'd say elliptical because it seems like a quicker calorie burn and a little harder to do than the bike. I have tried a rower once and really liked it but I have a shoulder injury.
  • That person who...oh wait, never mind, I work from my home 95% of the time.
  • Nice pictures depicting those 44 pounds. You are looking great. Keep it up!
  • I'm not very active on these boards but want to throw out a welcome to you.
  • Portion control and exercise. If I know in advance about a big day coming up, I'll try to go easy on my calories and stay in the low range. Plus I don't mind going over on the weekend or a day I know it will be hard to control. So maybe try to keep the portions down but don't beat yourself up about it and get right on it…
  • Haha, nothing for me. I try to eat most things in moderation.
  • You look so much younger. Congrats!!! I'll send a friend add.
  • For me I used sparkpeople first, then went to livestrong.com and finally to MFP. I found it when I googled calories on a particular food I was looking for. I like MFP best.
