  • I have a friendship like yours for 20 years. About 7 years ago i drifted away and my friend let me. I was suffering from depression and rarely left the house except for work. (I was the working friend, however, we were both married with kids.). When her youngest graduated from HS I forced myself to attend his party. For 3…
  • Welcome to the first step. Feel free to add me and never give up. Whether it's 50 or 250 it's about health. Celebrating you today.
  • I don't log the regular everyday stuff. My son who is a physical education/sports fitness director and I talked about it and he said that when I filled out my profile and stated that I was moderately active that was included in it. I do record my daily exercise because that is not a moderate activity level, nor is mowing…
  • Good for you. I just made my food diary public too. Even though I was actually logging everything I figure if I have a few over days my support friends will say "bring it in girlfriend" and every day they already make me feel great about what I am doing. Welcome back and feel free to add me.
  • Is there a contract? If it is 13 a month and no contract I agree with the previous comment. "You have nothing to lose but weight." Of course, your boyfriends concerns are important too if the relationship is important to you. Perhaps he has paid you a very high compliment. Maybe he would join the gym with you.
  • Feel free to add me. I just joined 2 weeks ago and love the support and the tracking tools.
  • Congrats Spen on a job well done and your stick to it attitude.
  • I think normal is staying within your calorie range. It wouldn't be normal if you are way over or way under every day. One of the things I really like about the food tracker/exercise tracker is that it lets me actually visualize if I am eating too much or not enough. Also, I think people have to be careful about things…

  • Men have a tendency to lose weight at a faster rate then women. Also, if he is a very large man he could lose this kind of weight in 3 weeks but it would be mostly water weight. My father weights over 400 lbs. and when he seriously watches what he eats and follows his weight watchers program he loses weight like this.…
  • WOW is all I can say. Congratulations you look fantastic.
  • I had fish tacos for the first time this month, super good, and I was afraid to try them forever. 2 fish tacos are approximately 400 calories. Go easy on the chips and load em up with the salsa. Only 40 calories for a half cup of salsa. That's a lot of salsa  so just make sure each chip has tons of salsa on it so…
  • Hi I am the MIL. I joined Curves 3 1/2 months ago and really like it. But I am so glad Erica pointed me to this site. In just 5 days I have had two questions that were answered in about 6 seconds. Whew that's fast. And I am becoming aware of so much because of the food/exercise tracking tools. I am actually seeing results…

  • Unfortunately I have been trying to lose weight for 3 years. As my profile says I am not an overeater and I am not inactive. I walked 3 miles a day 5 days a week for 13 weeks and gained 8 lbs. This was an increase in activity level for me as I had just retired from teaching for 20 years. I was devastated. My doctor told me…
