No, not at all. It's my personal choice. I work 2 jobs, so it's easy to make. If I don't do that, I eat egg whites. I like those as well. Egg whites and fruit, very few carbs in the morning or I'm a hungry fool by 10! ha ha

Sure! I got sick and tired of being...."fluffy". I got a divorce, and finally started focusing on me, and wanted to teach the girls better eating habits. I got mad, got a stationary bike to be home with the kids, and used that thing EVERY day. It was cold at the time, and what else can you do in Michigan in the winter…

I'm wondering why the scale means so much... Have you taken measurements? If you're gaining muscle, your body is going to change and that might not reflect in the scale. Are your clothes fitting differently?

I changed up my exercise and found that it worked better. if I can help in any way let me know.

What about working out at home in your leisure? Is that a possibility?

I find my ability to concentrate is greater when I get my butt out of bed and work out first thing. I am less likely to fall off during the day. All of the hard work started paying off and it's worth it.

Grief affects us differently. I suppose you need to ask yourself if you're on the path to be the person you would think your father would want you to be. I've lost both of my parents, trust me, I've been there. Feel free to add me.

Take progress pictures. Weekly if it makes you feel better. It will show you progress you wont see by the scale and mirror alone. Documented proof that YOU worked hard.

In my opinion you have to take control of your eating. If you're doing it to be healthy, and he can't get on board it would be time to hit the road. Sabotage or not, it's not right that you have to decide between healthy and his bitching... just my .02

It's not the first time in my life, but over 40 and having one hell of a time doing it!

I find that if I cut carbs completely it comes off, but that's not easy to do.
