  • I don't really think you have any place to judge. Neither do I. I don't have an opinion on the matter because I've never been in the position to need to decide "Do I need to have this surgery to loose weight?" I don't know what it's like to be 300 or 400 or 500 pounds overweight. I think if your doctor is advising you to…
  • Have you enabled negative adjustments in myfitnesspal? I wasn't able to enable it in the app. I had to go to myfitnesspal.com in a web browser on my phone. Then go to "my home" then settings, diary settings, then check the box for negative calorie adjustments.
  • Hello! I'm Tara and I'm mom to two kiddies. One will be 4 in September and the other is 6 months old. My goals are to loose around 50 pounds and do 10k at the Mogathon on September 20.

  • I had that issue once... I learned that you're not supposed to store your scale sideways. If you do, you need to put it down, and not touch it for a couple of minutes before you use it. Apparently, if you move your scale around and then step on it, it's likely to be inaccurate. I've now plunked my scale down in a spot in…
  • tossing in a reply because I must try that and I'd like to save it into my topics.
  • Holly, what type of fitbit do you have? Is it easy to synch with MFP or will I be doing a lot more work?
  • I'm also a pinterest addict lol. I should do more of what my board says, and less pinning haha. http://pinterest.com/taratlc/let-s-be-healthy/ Also, I LOVE apple cinnamon water. It's delicious. The other amazingly awesome thing is tea. Herbal teas are awesome. I buy the campe (or something like that) tea from Davids Tea…
  • Hello!! I'm 5 ft 9 and started at 198 pounds. I'm 188 now. I've been on and off the site for months now but I really believe that this time I'm going to stick with it. I've been getting up at 5am twice a week to go to the gym before my daughter is up with an awesome friend and I've been doing at least 20 minutes of cardio…
  • Mind. Blown. Thank you for sharing your story. I have 40 pounds to loose and I always tell myself I can't do it... that it's too hard, that I'll fail. So thank you for your post. If you can loose over 300 pounds by eating well and exercising.. then I can loose 40 pounds.
  • I had an extremely high heart rate when walking briskly and jogging. My sister was with me and she is a paramedic. She lost her ****, made me slow down, and not excersice strenuously until I saw my doctor (especially because my daughter was born with congenital heart defects) I was cleared by my doctor and was able to…
  • ^This. (just kidding, I'm married, but the above is hilarious)
  • We have dance parties. When it's just the baby and I, I hold her (she's 20 pounds), crank some music, and jump around the living room like a crazy person. It's good cardio! When I'm babysitting my two year old niece, she takes her baby, and does the same. Dancing for an hour is a lot of work.
  • I got skipped! Healthy - Your smile is infectious! Made me smile!
  • this is amazing.
  • Hand that feeds - NIN... awesome workout beat.
  • oussycat - your eyes are amazing! Love the makeup too (I know it's not a feature, but still) *edit for typo *lol.. edit #2 for censoring the word pu5sy.
  • It's a very long story... but mine was my daughter. I'll make it short. Last year she was born 10 weeks premature... when she was 3 days old she... died. They were able to revive her and multiple complex congenital heart defects were discovered. Because of her prematurity she was unable to have surgery immediately. She…
  • Ok.. that is absolutely insane. I've seen success pictures of the 30DS, but nothing like this. I own the shred.. it's still in it's plastic. Time to whip that thing out. I have one concern, I injured my back many years ago and lost a lot of muscle tone... is it feasible that I can actually do the workouts? What do you…

  • Sometimes the body mistakes thirst for hungry... you could try drinking a glass of milk, or tea or something. Or, you could just eat something like a grapefruit or an orange. Something that isn't too heavy. I love sitting on the couch peeling a grapefruit to nibble on in the evenings.
  • Thanks everyone! I will go hunt for some drawstring pants
  • I'd love to be added! I'm trying to be serious about loosing weight. I have around 50 to loose but am struggling very hard. My 16 month old has had three heart surgeries already and I find I don't really care about myself anymore... but I need to, because i need to be here for her.. but anyhooooo, my story is more than a…
  • It's neat because it's connected to your computer over wi fi and will graph all of your data over time for you. I'm glad to hear that loosing the 20-30lbs brought down the fat that much... I know I sound insane.. but the numbers scare me. Do I have the muscle to loose weight and do this properly? What if I'm dieting wrong…
  • What is the ingredient list like? I'm considering this, but am unsure. You mentioned comparable products that cost less, could you tell me a little about those? Thanks!
  • because you have a smaller amount to loose your body is holding on to every last ounce of fat in your body because you just aren't eating enough. Don't you get the little red disclaimer MFP pops up at the bottom when you are under your calorie goal? You are consistently 200+ calories under your goal. I'm sure if I didn't…
  • <nerd> This isn't necessarily true. Only some of the older games work on some of the models. Older models with skus reading CECHBxx/CECHAxx (where xx = numbers) will play pretty much everything. They actually have a PS2 piece of hardware in them as well as the PS3 hardware. Sony was actually losing money doing this. The…
