  • Hi lynn, I think I used the word tender wrongly. More along the lines of it just feeling a bit like belly ache. It was sore to touch.
  • I lost 4 stone a few years back on cleaner eating and calorie counting. I felt good because I was physically smaller. This time round I’m combing exercise with the calorie deficit and the feeling exercise has given me isnfar more rewarding, I feel stronger, more energetic and I’d say I feel like I’ve lost more than the…
  • Thanks scot. I've been trying to eat plenty of nutritious foods as I'm finding when I'm fasting it's harder to resist food as I get more cravings eating junk. In my eating window into eat what I want really within my calories but I'm finding my appetite isn't quite what it was, especially eating masses of vegetables and…
  • I should add I was 21 stone. I'm now 19 and a half.
  • Well I managed to get a fitbug cheap on eBay. I've set up my account. Does it actually sync with myfitnesspal? I thought it would sort of use the calories burnt to aid how active I've been.
  • Also looking at fitbits and jawbones. The price of the bug is appealing. Jawbone looks the best but has the highest price. Quite like the idea of keeping it on my wrist.
  • I guess it's just the first lift thats REALLY given me some grief. I don't like failure... Guess I may be being too hard on myself.
  • Cheers guys, you have given me a few more things to think about. I am going to do the prescribed deload if I fail next week. The smallest weights I have are 1 1/4 kg but this still equates to 2.5 kg on the bar to keep it balanced. I typed it into google and got a lot of guys saying that the bench will help the OHP and the…
  • Has powder in but I usually make some oat meal with 1% milk and powder. Plenty of good carbs, protein and not much fat.
  • Quick reply so I can grab those videos later. I've been doing the main 5 through stronglifts and made some great gains. Struggling with the OHP though :( I've looked for a couple of videos but that one looks the best I've seen.
  • Love that saying analysis paralysis. Never heard that one before!
  • Great job there tquill, awesome for 4 months work. Can I ask how much body fat you were to start with? Were you on a calorie deficit too?
  • I easily have the calories to spare for a coffee every morning lol. I just wasn't sure if it has any toxic effect. Sounds gross but my urine smells very strong when I've had a cup of coffee.
  • I've been doing it for 6 months. My body shape has changed. I hadn't been tracking my overall body weight much until recently as I was looking better/slimmer but recently gone back on a calorie deficit as I really need to shrink as well as get strong. Make sure you start with the empty bar and progress at the rate it says.…
  • No guys, you've got me wrong! I'm not about to stop I was just mearly saying that it's getting harder and at some point my squat is probably going to deaload. I'm hoping to get to around 130kg before that happens. I've just noticed that since I hit 92.5kg every lift since has been significantly harder than the lifts in the…
  • Also, I find the rower in my gym a great way to loosen up leg and hip muscles when I've been squatting heavy. In fact every time I go in the gym now I do a couple of minutes on the rower for that bit of a stretch and it does the world of good. Actually feels quite nice.
  • I'm currently sat here swinging my arms around in the air helping relieve DOMS from my chest and shoulders from 2 days ago. Some dynamic stetching helps. So get moving. It will be tight at first but will feel loads better in no time.
  • If it helps I've got a fair bit to loose as has my other half. It's nearly all been said on here already. When you loose weight you loose it from all aspects muscle and fat. You might loose 10kg of fat but 4kg of that might be muscle (just an example not fact). It's the muscle that makes you look good. I know plenty of…
  • The bit about him selling the stuff did get me thinking. I have lifted in the past and do have some muscle already. Just a lot of fat covering it. I'm strange, not your typical fat person shape if that makes any sense.
  • I'd be informing somebody in authority. Dogs (of any kind) shouldn't be allowed to roam free around the streets attacking people. I'm not having a go at pitbulls before anyone suggests it. For me jack russles are far more terrifying lol. Bloody hate dogs, always have but it isn't their fault they behave why they do. The…
  • I personally lost a lot of weight from a combination of good diet on a deficit while eating lots of protein and nutrient rich foods while running. I managed to work up from not being able to run a mile to running half a marathon in about 5 months.
  • Can of worms that buddy. There are all sorts of opinions. Yes it burns calories which is what you need to loose weight ( a calorie deficit) but it doesn't directly burn fat. People suggest doing interval cardio to keep your heart rate high, low high etc for a number of times as this helps continue to burn calories through…
  • Depends what your goals are. I know plenty of low weight people who are unfit. By unfit I mean they couldn't run for a substantial amount of time etc. I'm pretty large but I'm fit as a fiddle in terms of sports. To loose body fat you need to be on a calorie deficit. You can do this without exercise. To be healthier- lungs,…
  • My wife's look better than ever, last time she lost weight she lost some of her boobs. This time she's been coming to the gym with me and wright lifting and they haven't disappeared yet :)
  • Cheers guys. I know I shouldn't but I got on the scales again this morning. Pice only lost 0.3kg. Then I did my coat up and thought wow, it fits well again...
  • Oh and we have just taken measurements to measure that way too but nothing to compare to as of yet.
  • This was my understanding too but it seems from the replies that people don't just grow more fat cells.ah dear what have I been learning in the past then?
  • I got them to try after a number of friends had lost whilst on them. They were also cutting back the calories and exercising too. One friend swears by them. The other said he took them for a few months when he reached a plateau. He said he stuck to only natural ingredients as he couldn't see them being harmful. He also…
  • I've done a bit more research and fitbit force seems to be the one I want. The problem being I can't seem to buy it from a uk retailer. Hence, not coing up on the site. I could buy online but Theres a risk of having to pay expensive shipping and possible customs charges. I'll keep looking.
  • Thanks for the advice guys. I think the foot could be related to a car incident I had a while back which caused other problems at he time. Funny how that completely got forgotten about? I guess you suppress bad things etc. I had numerous physio sessions and ever since stopped running. I know what I'm doing with regards to…
