Yeah! I've lost most of my 50lbs "just walking"! :D Keep it up!

I weigh about 165 lbs. What website do you use?
-
Thanks! I'll take a look at this

I would like to buy an HRM but I currently don't have the extra money and I probably won't any time soon. :( So, just trying to get by and guesstimate for now I guess.

Oh man... I do about 40 mins at 2.2 mph and my treadmill says its 200 cals burned... hmm

How do you have time for the gym but no time to eat? I don't force myself to eat my workout calories back unless I'm hungry. I usually end up eating about half of them. I just make sure to at LEAST net my BMR.

Height: 5'8" Start: 216lbs Current: 165lbs Goal: 140lbs I was eating 1500 or less a day but then I plateaued for TWO MONTHS so I recently upped my calories to 1750 a day and when I work out I eat back about half of those calories too. Last week I lost a pound! :D It was so awsome to see the scale finally move again!

I've never done this diet but a friend of mine did last year. She didn't read the directions correctly anout eating second helpings of chicken, etc, when you are still hungry so she was only eating about 900 calories a day, even with exercise. She lost 6lbs the first week but it kind of stalled after that and she felt…

I'm 5'8" and my current goal is 140. I'll see what I think about how I look once I reach that goal but I think 130 might be nice.

Thank you everyone! This is the encouragement I needed to stick with the higher calories! I'm not a patient person but life style changes are worth some patience. :)
-
Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. :) I plan to stick with it and I don't mind a few pounds, but I don't want to keep gaining and gaining!
-
I really enjoyed Gennen Roth's books. She adresses the emotion and psychology behind why we eat or why we obsess over diets.
-
I'm set for 1700 right now. I plan to eat back whatever exercise calories I gain. My diary is also open if you'd like to take a look. :)
-
Thanks everyone! Glad to know I'm headed the right direction with a few more calories and some different workouts!
-
Well, when no one replied I did a little searching and it looks like upping one's calories and maybe switching up the workouts should help so that's what I'm going to try!
-
Its really about sticking with it. Not giving up after a few days or weeks if you don't see much progress. Making sure you know your portion sizes when you enter your calories. Eating enough of the right foods, eating at LEAST 1,200 calories a day but probably more. You'd be surprised how many friends I have who never lost…

Thanks guys! Your words of encouragement help. :)

I've actually been here over a year, I just used to have more offline support than I do now :(
-
This may just be how my body works but I've been eating about 1,600 calories a day and walking 30 to 45 minutes 6 times a week and I've been losing about a pound a week for almost two months. Maybe you are working your body too hard?

*200 not 2000 sorry!

Here's what I did. I went here http://www.caloriecontrol.org/healthy-weight-tool-kit/weight-maintenance-calculator-women to see how many calories I need to eat to stay at the weight I am. Then I did as they suggested, subtracted 300 calories and then I burn 2000 calories each day for a total subtraction of 500 calories a…

Thanks guys!

Do you all usually spend the first week at Level 1, the second week at Level 2 and so on?
-
Sweet! I just did my first day at level 1 and I loved it! Yay for Jillian and Yay for us!
-
Thanks! I'm super excited to get started! I'm waiting for my food to settle and mu husband to get off the tv when he leaves for work and then I will be ready to give it a go!
-
Thanks for the encouragement and information! Maybe I will run to Target tonight and pick up the DVD. The fact that its 20 mins or so really appeals to me.
-
I work in a mall so sometimes I walk outside on my lunch, sometimes inside. I love it. It helps to wake me up for when I return to my desk.
-
love it! sounds like something in a fortune cookie. :)
-
Thats how I feel too! Its a challenege everyday to see how much food I can fit into my calories so that I don't feel like I'm starving. I also love to work out more because it means I get extra calories! :D

Thanks for all the ideas! My one fear with buying clothes is that hopefully they won't fit soon after I buy them as I will hopefully keep shrinking! My husband had the idea of rewarding myself with $10 or so for each 5lbs and then using all the combined money for clothes in the end.
