I am 204lb. I want to lose 42lb.
I have put my goal at 1500 cals a day, as this is what I was advised on here yesterday. Just wondered what everyone else has?

I'm on 1628 calories. 153/154lbs (have been fluctuating due to being ill for two weeks, and not sure where I'm settled on again).0

I'm 5'2, 169 ish and I'm eating around 1900-2000 a day. My weight loss is at a stand still. I'm lifting 4x a week and doing cardio 2-3x a week. I'm hoping that since I upped my calories eventually I'll start losing weight again.0

I'm 204lbs and want to lose about the same amount as you. I've been eating an average of around 1900 net, however, I have only lost the odd pound or two (on and off, on and off!) since the beginning of April, so I know it's not much help, but I wouldn't recommend eating 1900 net :grumble:

Last year I was 152 and to get to my goal weight of 135 I had to lose just over 17 lbs.
It took me 9 months to lose the weight.
Sadly, a recent round of work travel made me gain some back.
I'm 5'6", age 35. I'm very active and I wanted to lose the weight slow (no stretch marks, yay!)
My goal calories NET was 1260/day. Typically I would burn 500 calories and I knew to eat them back (spread during the day in healthy calories--I would pre-log my workouts). Without eating them back I'd be fueling myself with only 760!0 -

I was eating 1500 or less a day but then I plateaued for TWO MONTHS so I recently upped my calories to 1750 a day and when I work out I eat back about half of those calories too. Last week I lost a pound!It was so awsome to see the scale finally move again!

im about 5ft6 and 147lbs.
My cals are set to 1000 /day I should be eating 1288 but if I put it up il go over and its not so bad when I go over my 1000 im still in my limit 90% of the time. Prob silly but works well for me0 -

I'm currently at 86.3kg, and I've lost 8.3kg since January this year. I eat 1900 cals a day, have Saturday and sometimes Sunday as a cheat day, and work out 4 nights a week (4-6 classes). I'm averaging around 0.5kg weight loss a week0

I'm 5ft 3, 39 and currently weigh 162lbs, my goal is 1540 cals per day and I eat back some exercise cals to ensure I NET my BMR which is about 1400. I lose about 0.4lbs per week. I was on a plateau so have been trying to get the loss moving again and have been playing around with the numbers! I workout 4-5 times per week.
Here are a couple of links to websites which may be of use to calculate what you should be eating according to your activity level - if you do go with numbers on these then you don't eat back exercise cals unless your NET is under your BMR:

The main thing to remember is that you need to eat at a level you can maintain and consider it to be a lifestyle change rather than a "diet".

I was 272lbs now 258lbs (14lbs down so far). My target is 160lbs which means I need to shift 112lbs total (98lbs to go). My cals are set at 1540 per day and i'm losing about 2lbs per week. I'm 5' 11".
P.S. I got down to 216lbs on this diet in 2010 so I know it works for me0 -

Set my cals at 1200 but after plateauing have increased to between 1400 / 1500 and now feeling bloated all the time.
After much reading I realise I should be more around 2200 but I am struggling to get my head around this.
Hard cardio 2 x week & 4 x very heavy weight sessions a week0 -

I'm used to net 1200 kclas everyday , but i do a lot of sports so i'm used to eat 2000 kcals then netting 12000
