Happy Birthday Kylia! RVRita

When I walked the park yesterday, I noticed new groundhog holes all over. Didn’t see the critters but just the evidence. We have a lot of them here. Last year I sat with a couple watching the groundhog near their camper. It would poke its head out of the hole and grab a piece of green and drop back in the whole. I found…

Crying Because of the medications I’m on, I really don’t cry. I haven’t since my dad died about 15 years ago. Anger When I get angry, my brain simply shuts off my verbal abilities. I just lose my words, so walk away think, and come back after I’ve calmed down. So I’ve learned to not get angry, hold my tongue then ask the…

Sorry for your loss Carla. It’s always hard. Love, RVRita

Stopped at Walmart and picked up my steroids (4days of them), 10 days of fluconazole, and medicine for my home breathing treatments (though haven’t got the machine yet). For some reason I keep forgetting the name of the breathing treatment. 🤦♀️ Then went to therapist, stopped at Sonic, then stopped at Walgreens b/c they…

@Mo—- books? When to doctor yesterday afternoon and he immediately said I needed a breathing treatment but couldn’t find the nurse, so checked me out, decided it was an asthma attack triggered by the virus I’m getting over. Ordered me a home nebulizer from a company that takes my insurance, sent me a script for prednisone,…

When I was subbing at a local elementary school, the fourth grade teacher had a garden in the playground for her students. Each year, she also had them hatch chicken eggs. I was in the classroom next door so got to watch a couple of the chicks hatch. Had my class go in and watch too. Fun way to learn. I always loved hands…

@Heidi. Pink AND blue! Cute! LOL Well, my cough and sinus gunk is back. Started coughing like a fool last night and got up with stuffed sinuses, sore ear, and back to cough, though not as bad as last time yet. At least I had 3 or 4 good days. Somehow I knew that when I ran out of antibiotics and cough prescriptions, it…

Got some bad news yesterday afternoon. My son called to tell me his grandmother (my X-mother-in-law) died in her sleep at the age of 102. It really hit me hard. I’m not sure why, I haven’t seen or talked to her in years, but we always stayed friends (she was actually on my side when I divorced her son). Now my son is…

Finished my latch-hook and took an old pillow that was ripping at the seams and used that as the base for the latch-hook. Made a nice little cushion. Had my hair cut into a ‘shaggy-pixie’ about 6 weeks ago. It needs a trim. I don’t remember if I posted this picture before but the dark haired picture is what I requested, of…

I’m going to tell a story about when I am in my 20’s, I hope it makes you laugh. When in my 20’s my father had a band that used to play in strip clubs among other places. Once in a while (drinking was at 18 back then) I went with my mother to watch my dad play, not my thing really, but mom wanted the company. Once the MC…

At the very least, please change your password to at least 12 characters with lower, and upper case letters, numbers, and at least 1 special character (!,&,$,-. and whatever your bank allows. Spaces are great but not many banks accept them in passwords). Since they payed by electronically, change the passwords to the bill…

Yes there is a lag, how long depends on the size of the file, your internet speed at the time, how many users are using the Onedrive at the time, and how fast your computer is. I would suggest saving to your hard drive right after saving to the cloud, both for a backup and to give Onedrive time to catch up. Thank you all…

Anybody else asked if they were human logging into MFP Community today? I was asked twice to click the box to verify I was human, then had to click ok for the Cookies warning too. Weird. Gradually getting my walking back in after this 3 weeks of coughing. I did 15 minutes yesterday. My aim is 30 minutes of exercise a day,…

In looking for your files, do a search for users/lanette (or your user name)/documents. You can use the combination CTRL-F to bring up a search box. 365 tends to default save to a folder under. /365/documents or something like that. If it is the online 365, it saves in its own ‘cloud’. I know confusing. Try the CTRL-F…

@Lanette. The update to W11 definitely would slow things down. Every time an update comes in for my iPad, iPhone, or Windows PC, they slow down. At first I blame the ‘Internet’ but when the machine wants a reboot, I realize it was an update. Lots of data comes down through the network. In the past, it would be a disk to…

Quiet day yesterday, today have to go the PO and get a few groceries. I’m making DH pay for his rum and grocery shopping. He ‘lost’ $100 the last time we went shopping together and I had to use my Christmas gift card from my Mom, which I was going to save for the hairdresser throughout the year, to pay for the groceries…

We’ve been having really cold weather for the dessert. I woke up at 8:00 am to 10 degrees and frozen water. DH keeps using the bottled water in this case and running out. We will probably go out today as his glasses are ready and we need to go to the PO and get more water. I still don’t feel like doing anything, but I did…

I’m on week 3 of my cold. Week 2 of antibiotics. So I’m right there with you Allie! Hang in there. RVRita in Roswell

Not much going on here. Coughing almost gone. I want to go for a walk today but must wait until it warms up. The 25 degree weather would kick off the coughing and asthma as it does when I am not sick. Once it warms up a little I’ll go. Just remembered I was suppose to call my mother yesterday as I didn’t last week because…

The time travel pun from yesterday took me a minute to get too. That’s why I posted 2. Here is Today’s thought for the day: Why is Peter Pan always flying? Because he Neverlands! Have a great day! RVRita in Roswell

I right there with you Allie! I’m starting week three and round 2 of the whole thing. Feels like the first day all over again! I’ll get there, just one day at a time. Still on antibiotics and Mucinex. I foresee them for the rest of January! Thought for today: What do you call a dinosaur with an extensive vocabulary? A…

My DH makes something like your Italian Beef but calls it Brajoili. He uses a tough piece of beef, usually chuck or flank beats it flat with a mallet then seasons one side how he want, usually Italian style, sometimes puts slices of pepperoni or other sausage in there, then roll it like a pumpkin roll, tie with kitchen put…

Cough is getting better but have headache this morning. Talk more later. Thought for today: What’s the best thing about Switzerland? I don’t know but, the flag is a big plus! RVRita in Roswell

@Michelle. The Murthy’s app allows you to add up the points for discounts on items or gas. I save them for gas. Once you create your account, you can “step on the gas” to get points once a week. It is an animated thing on the main page you click on for random points. Each time to get gas there, you input your phone number…

We have a Murthy’s gas station here that is our regular station. I have the app and ‘step on the gas’ for points whenever I remember. You are allowed to do that once a week. I get 0.10 a gallon off about once a month and they are the cheapest gas in town. The only place cheaper is Sam’s, but here, their gas is no good for…
