My friend L, who I often talk about, is there too. Three or four in from the right with her hair tied back. She said she looks as if she was wearing a layer cake!! She was a kind of chief bridesmaid. I had heated rollers in my hair in the morning and they got tangled up. I wouldn't let my mother help me, so L had to get them out. She remembers it well.

Lanette I had the dry needling for my foot and it did provide some relief. Friends have found it very helpful for their backs.
Have been reading along and not much chatting! Went to surgeon and we are scheduled for April 9:
Going to perform wedgectomy lower right lung. Will take out nodule they are pretty positive is the thyroid cancer and will check out one other in the area and may remove it it he doesn't like the looks when seeing it in person. Most like just an overnight stay (mainly because I live alone). Go to do stress test next Tuesday. All bloodwork looks good. Have to use spirometer a few times a day until surgery. Need to get house ready to be laid up.
Otherwise just working towards wrapping up at work in a few months and training replacement. Hope spring actually gets here soon.
Take care all,

Good luck, Ginny, with the surgery. 💖 Is anyone able to stay for a couple of nights, or check in with you from time to time? My very best wishes.

Morning, kids…
Up a bit early, but the current piece I'm working on is on my mind — It seems it has been harder than most, and I've been more wishy-washy. Would like very much to stop second-guessing myself and finish it - but have finally realized I do this with pretty much every project as it gets toward the end. Always glad when they're done, and never like them until later!
Heather - I almost went for him, the one with the Beatle haircut, but couldn't resist the Uni mate because of the glasses. Your brother must have come to the glasses later in life. How is your brother?
Kylia - You're doing fine, sweetheart. As with everyone, we just like knowing you're OK when you leave us even a quick note. Catch us up when you have time to gab, and have a wonderful weekend.
Ginny - Hope the surgery goes very, very well. April 9 is right around the corner.
Right now is just a load of laundry and get the dishes going in the dishwasher. I need to run downtown a bit later, but it's still only 6:30, nothing open.
Hope it's a grand Friday and a lovely weekend for everyone.
Later, mah babies,
Lisa in ARToday's hint for the new format. If you want to put a name or any word to show up as bold on a tablet or your phone, use your fingertip and place it on the word you want to turn bold with your fingertip - if you leave it there for just a second, a box that looks something like this should appear. Select the "B" in the box for bold. This works on any Droid tablet or phone, don't know if it works on the iPhone or iPad, because I don't play with Apples… 👀🤷🏻♀️🐈⬛😂

❤️ Ginny Best wishes on your upcoming surgery.
😀 Heather Many years ago (before the internet) I tried to revive my French by taking a class at the University in preparation for a trip to Quebec. It helped and was fun, but I found that Quebecois French is a bit different from what I'd learned.
😀 I'm taking a break from dealing with anything that has emotional content putting more effort into plans for the yard, a possible new knitting project, and cooking the turkey that we bought in December.

Lanette When I was getting PT for my back, I was as limber as you but had slip disks, bulged disks, arthritis in all my disks, and a healed ruptured disk. I also had the dry needling and found it helped a lot! The first time I had it, I’m not sure if it was the ‘massaging’ the aide did or the dry needling the therapist did, but my back felt like I had bruises all over it. A couple days later, I felt much better. I had 4 dry needling treatments and my insurance paid for it (Humana/Medicare). From experience, I highly recommend it and acupuncture (which I also had about 8 years ago for my back).

Lisa, it does work with my iPad and iPhone too! Mine sometimes comes up with this:
And sometimes this, where I select format:
Either way, you can bold the word.

Delivered paperwork to new doctor/NP yesterday and both of us has a ‘welcome’ visit next Wednesday. Thursday I have therapy, then dentist the same day! Doctor week!
Thought for today:
Where do hamburgers go to dance?
They go to the ‘meat-ball’!

Hey, kids, just swanning back by 'cause the Egg and I don't feel like doing anything productive. 🐈⬛🤷🏻♀️👀😂
Beautiful afternoon, just edging up to 60, time to get some windows open before it gets in the 70s! (20s C)
I am going to sit and watch a bit of C.R.A.P. TV while I get the long lengths of bias tape pinned on this purse - least favorite chore, but very necessary, unfortunately. I always end up having to have gauze nearby to stanch the bleeding from the latest pinprick… One of those things that takes two hours of prep work for ten minutes of sewing.
Ah well, the price we pay for our art… Right? Yeah, right. 😏 Onward.
Oh - and I am, for the first time, in my evening time sitting by Corey on the couch, crocheting a garment - a cardigan. Corey's fascinated that I can make clothes out of knots and string. 😂🐈⬛👀 Haven't yet made him aware how much this "string" costs… Won't upset him, but he will be taken aback. Yarn is no longer economical… and I look for it thrift stores, but honestly, only ugly colors, horrible textures, and super bulky yarns ever show up there, I'm afraid. Ah well.
That really IS the price we pay for art. 😂
Love y'all!

My goats cheese and mint tart.
I halved the ingredients in the recipe and used a 12" wholemeal tortilla for the base. You can use a translation app to get it into English.
It was amazing!

Ginny … I'll be praying for you and your upcoming surgery … hugs
Allie … precious photos…
Heather, Machka, and Flea … beautiful communities you live in!
Spring is trying here near Buffalo. Blue skies and full sun … but the temperatures took a drop into the 30s 🤨
Third skim coat of plaster has gone down in the bathroom. It's looking pretty good! Recessed medicine cabinet with a mirror was delivered yesterday. Box was sort of scary looking, but everything was well packed and, best yet, it fit the wall cut-out. Vanity and over-the-tank cabinets came in yesterday too. While they were manufactured by a quality maker, they come unassembled… which my husband prefers as he's a perfectionist when it comes to remodeling. I'm hoping to get one of the pieces unboxed so I can start looking at flooring. I think I've found some vinyl plank that I like, but need to see it with the cabinet.
My produce box was delivered Wednesday … these boxes are seriously pushing me to eat more fruits and vegetables … which was the point of it all. Got a Honeynut squash … different than a butternut. I need to think how to prepare that one!
I've also been tracking my calories again while fasting. I have to keep an eye on getting in quality fats and protein. I tend to eat too many carbs.
Have a great weekend!

Rita - thank you so much for sharing your experience with Dry Needling. Hope you like the new doctor/NP and they take you recent labs w/o a do-over.
Ginny - thanks too for your experience (and that of your friends) with Dry Needling. Sending hugs and prayers ad heaps of good wishes your way for your upcoming surgery.
Lisa - you're brave to think about getting involved in small town politics, lol. Small communities really need good people in these spots and don't often get them.
Tracey - sorry your vehicle isn't running 100% yet. Maybe with time the repair will settle down and all will be good. Brothers that are mechanics are worth their weight in gold, it would be nice for him to visit some day and bring his toolbox! I feel that way about my brother too.
Heather - so glad the house deal for you and John came together. I remember when it seemed to be touch and go to get the thing finalized. You certainly live in a beautiful spot with the shops, the ocean and family close by. The tart looks delicious and merci beaucoup for the recipe! 😉
Beth - that bathroom remodel sounds spectacular. So glad that despite his back problems, your DH is getting everything put together perfectly.
Grass is growing in some spots in the lawn and rain expected for the next 10 days. Even if we get an afternoon of sunshine it won't dry up enough to run the mower over it. I might be able to lay part of it down with the weed eater.🤨
Maybe I should ask Roger if he can mount the mower deck onto a swamp buggy!

Belated welcome @Lindalike Linda from TX!
Allie, Michele, Beth, Heather, Lisa, Tracey, Margaret, Mo, Barbie, Lanette, Kay, Machka, and all, thanks for the condolences. She really was quite a lady.
Heather you are so right about how important it is to not let our lives shrink too much. Joe’s been inspired to get out and walk, despite the weather.
Carol prayer said for your son’s recovery and for relief from your pain. ((hugs))
Lisa “It’s been a long winter here.” You can say that again [sigh]. We’ll have a sunny, 60 F day Monday then it’s back to 40-50s, and oh oh oh the wind and the rain…
Ginny added your April 9 date to my mfp prayer list.
Not much to contribute. Will save the latest water system story for another day.
Later, lighter, lovelies!

Lost 7.1 kg (15.6 lbs) since the beginning of January.
Exercising more. Eating less.😊
I wore a pair of capris on Thursday that fit back in January … just. But on Thursday, they were so comfortable I wore them all evening! Usually I change out of work wear into comfy clothes in the evenings.

Just skimming through tonight. Michaela is here for a sleepover so I spent the evening watching tv with her. First the Masked Singer, which was Grand Ole Opry night, then the 100 Anniversary of the Opry.It amazes me the old country songs this 9 year old knows. She’s interested in learning which singer is which.
She sure knew most all of the women though.Barbie - Different parts of Quebec have trouble understanding each other too. Then when you go across the provincial border to NB it’s another dialect of French.
Margaret - What a cute card!
Lisa - I saw a bag the other day that one of our residents made and meant to tell you about it.
It was a square tote that looked like a patchwork quilt, but was made using plastic shopping bags with some kind of braiding technique. It was beautiful.Michaela and I are going to ceramics tomorrow. The owner of the shop and Michaela have a mutual love for one another and she is not going to be there after next Saturday.
